      Don't worry yourself over this "theory" humans haven't found dark matter. It does not exist we live in a electro-universe. This theory accounts for the missing mass of dark matter in the universe. We are a cosmic circuit board.

    I mean currently there’s even doubt that Vacuum decay is possible at all, as we don’t know if the pseudo stability of the higgs field is followed by another. Not only that but interactions with the higgs field only give a particle a small fraction of the overall mass. Sure a collapsing Higgs Field would fuck a ton up, by changing up chemistry, but it wouldn’t grill us or let us dissolve into mere particles. It would fundamentally change chemistry as it is and that’s bad enough

    What exactly would be "burning"? The MWBR heats space to 3K because it is continuously radiated, a single pulse would not "heat" empty space. The only thing that can travel and light speed is EM radiation, which does not interact with the vacuum itself to "heat" anything. If an energy wall expanded outward at light speed it would need to be some kind of gamma radiation. This could definitely be destructive, but the energy density would fall off by the inverse square law as it expanded into space.
    I think you need to give us a bit more information on this "heat wall" radiation so we can understand why Ari thinks it is such a bigger threat to the universe than cosmic isolation.

    Avi is brilliant...I was exposed to some of his work and thoughts, also, from some of John Michael Godier's channels, I believe it was.
    I love this topic, even though it gives me almost that creepypasta anxiety feeling when I actually think deeply about it.
    I am not sure I trust that humanity won't ever initiate this type of disaster/doom.
    And if we have neighbors...? Yeah, that adds another layer of worry to the shit cake my nerves tend to fray into and become when I consider the possibilities. I do not want us to be alone in the universe necessarily, but the unknown regarding aliens and their capabilities, as well as their intentions and thought processes, scares me on deep levels. They may be super intelligent while having a suicide cult mindset...

  • @ddpwe5269
    @ddpwe5269 2 года назад

    So if I get this right, if any galaxy is touching, the burn will move at a rate, much greater than that of the expansion itself, eventually consuming everything until it burns itself out in empty space? That's just mind blowing

    • @StrangeMysteries
      @StrangeMysteries  2 года назад

      The burn would move at the speed of light.
      The universe is expanding faster than the speed of light - so...really...it would never consume the entire universe.
      Some galaxies are moving towards/around us not faster than the speed of light with respect to our galaxy. For example, we will collide with Andromeda one day.
      Other galaxies are moving away from us...and some are moving away from us as so fast that they are moving faster than the speed of light with respect to our position...so the vacuum decay would never reach them

      @@Positive-Singularity besides the fact that you misunderstand how the saying "beyond the shadow of a doubt" works, the evidence for Dark Matter's existence is very simple and practical to our understanding of the Universe. The way we clearly observe the movement of galaxies demonstrates there is matter interacting with them via a gravitational force. We know it's there. Just because it cannot interact with light doesn't mean it's not real. We simply haven't nailed down exactly what it is.
