I was in England in 2017 visiting my own ancestral family home, Prestwold Hall in nearby Leicestershire, which is only about an hour from Haddon Hall but at the time I didn’t have time to see Haddon. My colonial immigrant ancestress, Diana Skipwith of Prestwold, was a distant relative of Dorothy (Vernon) Manners who inherited Haddon Hall from her father. I hope to get the chance to see it next time I come to England.
