Based on my experience over last three days. Build Quality 10/10, Display Brightness 8/10, Refresh rate/Scrolling 8.5/10, Performance 8.5/10, Speaker 10/10, Battery 8.5/10 No issues with fingerprint or heating so far. I prefer the compact size. There is a fantastic exchange value option. For me it's a no brainer under 35k. Scrolling is very good even at 60 Hz. Camera needs no mention. I haven't used it much

Great Observations. Google won't have any market share in India if they keep up with this. They can't demand halo pricing like Apple does. iPhone for many Indians is a status symbol, Pixel, not so much, many people I knew would be surprised that Google even makes a phone. Good luck to Google for launching pro models with exorbitant price like this.

Nice genuine video. I think you have been spot on its issues and pricing.
There is a genuine problem with finger print reader on 6A. Exactly like you mentioned, register one thumb, and open with the other thumb. And it can't be opened with any of the other fingers atleast for me.
Overall the phone is decent, but pricing wise it crossed the comfort factor.
For everyday standard usage it's good. I have been using a 4a so have a different comfort level with this phone.
Although the camera is old, I think it's still the best in this segment.
I have used a Moto for the UI and vanilla Android, but the camera is a shame.
Most of all I think Pixels are usually meant for a different audience and Target group. If you're like me, uncomplicated, mostly care for the camera quality and stock Android with timely updates, 6A is a decent buy specially during big billion days.

Personally my experience has been different.
Haven't faced the FP scanner issue. I asked friends and family to try it out, and they couldn't unlock it.
4G infra in India is substandard. By the time 5G gets remotely up to par, this phone will be old.
The display and speakers are good enough for me.
The processor is snappy, and although it heats a bit sometimes, it's not something to be "concerned" about imo. Battery life (after adaptive battery kicks in) has been good.
The quality of life features are really awesome.
    The camera is top notch.
The display size is just right for me.
Who worries about the back? Normal users use a case 99.99% of the time.

    3) when it come to no bloatwares and pure Android experience pixel 6a is an OG

For those of you now more confused because of this review, consider these options:
Pricing a phone under 35K compared to what I got with Axis Flipkart card at 38K (don't buy it if you are having to pay 44K which is where it comes under Premium category), it doesn't seem justified for me that just with 3K of difference, you expect so many things. Of course, there are phones with some mind boggling specs but is it optimized or use all of those resources - NO. On paper, those might look good and "theoretically" justifies the price. Another important thing to consider here is the price you are paying for the Brand Google.
I didn't face any issue with Fingerprint sensor even after 3 days now and coming from a 60Hz phone, I don't notice anything or in the need of 90/120Hz but if you are gamer, go for those options. The only thing which was a downer for me was the heating issue but as I said it's from Google, I can reply on it to bring some updates to fix it in the future or make changes to how adaptive power control works with their fine chip Tensor. Same goes for Battery management.
    -------------------------
So ask yourself, if you need The Brand, camera, non-gaming phone, non-vlogger/reel maker for 4K selfie videos, and getting this below 40K, this is a great option!

    • @ashyouknow7420

Not having 4G+ is the main reason I won't buy this phone! Standard 4G is much more slower and tbh is at true 3G speeds not 4G.
Edit: Going for the "Brand" for Pixel 6a will leave you disappointed when you expect support from them the most, only 1 service centre in a country as huge as India is really bad, they don't care about the Indian market and you shouldn't expect things from Google either. When you are going for brand you expect things like good overall experience, service, etc. Now for the camera, Pixel have always been camera phones but just for photography! The video is not good at all, looks so overprocessed and unnatural, just the stabilization is good. For such a phone with no 4G+ in 2022 when we are talking about 5G, only good photos (especially at night!), no official service whatsoever, severe security issues like with the slow fingerprint scanner, etc are not the things you expect when going for a brand at all.

There are no bad products, only bad prices.
Software issues will be solved with time. Google will extract more performance now with the CPU because they will be able to optimize for the CPU a lot considering the CPU is their own. Just look at how many optimizations Google was able to do with the 5 year old Sony Camera sensor and the pictures are so good even today compared to other high megapixel cameras.
This is what happens when instead of just giving high performing hardware, companies actually sit & optimize their software and code.
I do believe that the price of Rs 44,000 due to tariff in India is very high but this will soon force manufacturers to start making their mid & low end phones in India which is what GoI's intention was with tariffs which in-turn will reduce the price of such phones. It is a long term solution but a good solution because consumption in India is very high and hence companies cannot just ignore India and its price sensitive market.

This fingerprint scanner issue might not be fixable by a software update. The fingerprint sensor is kind of isolated from the rest of the device on purpose, to prevent malware from collecting your fingerprints. Maybe the firmware of the fingerprint scanner can be updated nonetheless, but I doubt it. Maybe that's why Google is not communicating about this issue (as far as I know). They should either fix the issue, or tell people to disable the fingerprint scanner, or offer to refund people.

2:55 - There is that slow walking movement but no jitter or unnecessary shakes. It has that natural walking movement. Most phones don't do any stabilization and the footage looks unusable. Comparatively, this is far more usable. Ofcourse, stabilization will work far better in 4k-30 but it does work.

@@pratikrai6407 I call that "proper" stabilization. Who needs the kind of stabilization that makes running look like walking?🤣 There really isn't much different from the regular Pixel 6. I expected them to cut down on a lot of internal features.
But then again, if the regular 6 is available for 45k, why buy the 6A for 43k?

@@Farhan_049 Maybe you don't and it's your perspective. Agreed!
Of course, as I said the Pixel 6 is better than the Pixel 6A and if you are fine with the 4G+ and no warranty clause, one should buy a Pixel 6.

@@pratikrai6407 I'll be buying the Moto Edge 30 anyway since I find this year's Pixels a joke!
But since I was a Pixel fan up until the 6 series came, as somebody who might potentially buy a Pixel, these devices don't make much sense to me. The price tags, the bugs, the unreliability - these things push me away from them.
Especially now with phones like the Phone (1), Edge 30 and A53/A52s. If one learns how to root, even the Poco F4 would be a great device!

Everything is ok but ops one thing hits me more then the phone itself. The consistency of Google's service in India. For me it's bigger question mark then the device itself.

FYI I see you added an outro for end cards but I didn't see any of those cards. Might be just a bug of the YT app but check if it got disabled or some.

What is 4G plus? Is it that useful?
Does pixel 6 support 5G Indian bands (though most of us may not use (or have access to) 5G for next few years)?

4g+ means carrier aggregation. Multiple bands of 4g are combined to give you faster internet speeds

@@bobbrysonnthank you buddy for your answer. I have a related question. Are these bands from the same network company? I mean to ask that is I have airtel network, will carrier aggregation provide faster internet speed on it? If yes, approx what may be the difference in speeds of with and without carrier aggregation?

@@humtum7983 Yes, the bands will be from the same network. They will combine giving you higher bandwith. Your network speed may double or even triple with carrier aggregation
