Actual, in depth astrology is really awesome
The nonsense, meme, quiz apps, astrology is ridiculous

Pluto discovered in 1930, downgraded in 2006, astrologers: WTF?

No, astrologers have not cared. Because the astronomical definition is irrelevant.

Interesting analysis. I wouldn't pay for anyone to read my chart, but cool idea

When you get a proper natal chart based on birth time, date, place, it is extremely insightful, well worth a couple bucks (of disposable income)

    Great video, thanks for sharing.
I’m a therapist in training and like geeking out/connecting with clients who are into it. I enjoy talking with friends and other people about it too :) Nothing quite like looking at a person’s birth chart 🙃

Did the astrologers ask the same questions once they saw your birth chart?

    5:00 hilarious.
I think that basing astrology off facts is missing the point.

She literally says "astrologers say, 'we never said this was a science.'" And it's true. An astrology reading is a therapy session that for some people is more accessible.

Astrology is weirdly accurate, but it's claims for why it's accurate are inaccurate themselves. Either way, it's still a helpful to tool to keep yourself in a state of constant introspection. You just shouldn't take it a predetermined

There is an earthly way to use astrology to describe the 3 ways which we experience each of the 4 elements.
Astrologers going as far as literally defining things in the sky that would require a highly psychedelic state in order to see those things, are not in it for the right reasons

WHAT! Carl Jung used astrology in his psychological practice...

Interesting topic, but I couldn't watch more than 45 seconds of it. Why does The New Yorker think that it's appropriate to feature a narrator who vocal fries?? Hiring vocal fryers as narrators is offensive to the ears and brains of many viewers, because, unlike lisping or stuttering, frying is deliberate. To me, it's equivalent to the middle finger. Not cool.

Looking for a quick horoscope overview, thought New Yorker might provide it. Definitely put off by the fry merchant's passive aloof grating. Her sentences didn't quite upsweep and land questioning marks. Was comatose/poisoned after 4 minutes. Never heard the term Vocal Fryer/frying. Perfect. UK/GB has the same problem now, esp. strident females who grate metal. The males just shout.

It can also a regional thing or just how someone talks and she did the reporting so they "got" her. Seems like a small aspect of someone's presentation to get so mad about.

Is this the National Inquirer channel in disguise? Because I can’t believe the New Yorker would give this nonsense one minute of time. I feel sorry for the writer. She has embarrassed herself taking this subject seriously.
