That prayer at the end of his concerts was God sent 🙏🏿
I got the honor of seeing him in concert and the prayer at the end was everything
Maaannn I witnessed it myself many years ago at a Ruff Ryders & Cash Money concert! To Hear the roar of the arena recite the Whole Prayer Word for Word 🤯 then the concert goers put their arms up in the air to form an X!!! 🙅🏽♀️🙅🏽♂️🙅🏿♂️🙅♂️ Straight Goosebumps moment! I was in awe of how he captivated everyone & how they Felt him! It was dope! RIP to the Hood Disciple DMX. 🙏🏽❤️💪🏽🏍
@gomikago I witnessed and participated too. Didn't know I was crying during the prayer. Looked around & grown men were crying too.
Man I’ve cried at one of them prayers, Studio72 in Atlanta…. Most powerful thing I’ve ever seen
DMX was God sent. That's why he's the Dog.
Dmx was the Bernie Mac of rap: people’s champion n no matter the stage you didn’t wanna follow him up
It’s funny you say that because I was thinking the same thing DMX is equivalent to Bernie Mac and Jay-Z is to Steve Harvey! X and Mac were real true artists of their craft until Harvey and Jay stole from other artists! Never was original and were willing to do some snake shit to people to get to the top! RIP to X and Bernie
Great analogy
man this the best way to put it
R.I.P. Bernie Mac and DARKMAN X ✊🏾✊🏾
Ja rule and dmx were at their peak during this era I remember riding to story to tell by Ja and where my dogs at after the bass in my car was loud
I LOVE how they are all so honest about how Great D was.

No jayz and DMX was not a friend to jayz.

DMX was Sic!!!!! Poured his Soul Out in his performances. Everybody related to him
What soul
I didn’t. I hustled and was gettin it. I related to Jay. There’s no way your square ass related to X
@@etx_jayDEEZ NUTZ!!!
Which made him 10 times realer than Tupac ever was...... Not to mention DMX was way more lyrical than Tupac was.
@@kennethwilliams8240Foolish statement. Pac mastered all flows & styles; he did it his way and X did it his. Both great, but Pac is lyrical when needed to be but got his message across
DMX made me fall in love with hip hop as a kid. No one came harder and with more heart and passion than X. One of a kind voice and tone. One of the all time greats. RIP Earl Simmons.
I didn't fuk wit rap till I heard it's dark and hell is hot

Big facts. That concert was epic.
Will remember it forever
Yes I remember , when I saw it it was Meth and Red then X came out and shut it down , half the arena left before Jaye came out . I think I only stayed for a song or two and I was a Jay fan back then but X took the oxygen out of the room . He had a whole arena holding hands and praying 😂 wild
@@AfricaGeo no sir Hov killed it too. I actually wasn't a huge fan until I saw him destroy after X and Method Man. I was the biggest Red fan and Red killed too but lesser than the other 3!

Irv gotti and Ja rule found x if it wasn’t for Irv helping x to get on top
We would not be blessed with x
You can dislike Irv gotti or Ja but they both gave us dmx

DMX understood something most artist don’t, the music has to make you feel. You gotta take the crowd through an emotional roll coaster. Stay Focused!
Yes, and showmanship. DMX had charisma and genuinely put everything he had into his songs and it was obvious he actually felt the things he was saying. Some artists think rapping/singing is just a job and don't think much of the fans.
FACTS
That was him and Pac's gift that made them different. Some are real dope with the way they put the lyrics together or just got a lot of charisma and energy and get you hype but them two in particular made you FEEL what they was saying...
DMX and wu tang clan
Mann..a Pac and X song woulda been epic🗿
DMX was a beast in rapping, every verse he rapped was 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥! Rest well my brother, you are truly missed.🕊️
My 1st concert was Cash Money/Ruff Ryders. DMX was the last to perform. He did everything exactly how Method Man is saying. When he started they had lights off. You heard the bells. He growled. Crowd went nuts. When the lights came on he was in the middle of the crowd in a cage rapping. They lifted it to the stage and he had the cage rocking the whole way there. Was amazing. Ended the show with a prayer and everyone was crying 😭 I enjoyed every minute of it.
Mine too!!! I thought the “Hot Boys” coming out in the helicopter was the shit, but when DMX came over the crowd in the cage we all lost it!!!!!!
Yes. The HotBoyz with the helicopter was crazy. But X stole the show. That was also the first time we Birdman showed off the platinum teeth 🦷
One of the greatest concerts ever all of em killed it but DMX was something different

Gone too soon. DMX was the real deal.
A Prayer heard & felt around the world RIP DMX
I had the pleasure of seeing DMX perform live twice in my life. On the Cash Money/Ruff Ryders tour in ‘01 in Philly and 20 years later with his own show at the TLA in Philly. Definitely was a showman and it was an honor to watch him do his thing one last time. Rest In Peace Dark Man X 🙏🏾❤️🐕
TLA is a great venue. Hands down best VIP section.
When he came out lowered from the cage smoking blunts. The best. I was like 14

DMX for life. Rip King 👑. Bless you Earl. 🕊️❤️
Even before I knew his story, X's prayer made me cry. Just listening to him talk about his struggles made me cry. He was a true talent.

I went to DMX and Cash money concert.. DMX stole the show .. best performer I’ve ever seen live!
Love it! I am so thankful I had a chance to see DMX in Atlanta at a music festival before he transitioned. He was soooooo good! It was wonderful seeing him on stage again. Truly a gift to this world. Rest well! 🕊️
Yoooo! I was just speaking to my guys about this. Hearing this brings chills to my body. Went to the Hard Knock Tour in Baltimore in 99. Went to see all of the acts but specifically Red and Meth. Like Meth said, once the intro dropped the arena “EXPLODED” and then X sprinted out on stage and Killed his set. Simply Amazing RIP DMX! 🔥
You fortunate brother I’m young 😂 missed it all! I was only 9 but best believe I had the cds!!!!
Me too ❤
Love is love! Love hearing stories like this! I was at the concert in St. Louis and he is NOT LYING! DMX was the person I wanted to see the most! I went from smiling, getting hyped, Cheesing extra hard, then crying! I felt all of those emotions at the show, also. I was in the 9th grade and was infatuated with that man. Exactly. I’ve been to many rap concerts and the greatest stage presence I ever witnessed were DMX and Busta Rhymes
I never got the chance to see X but I did see Busta and you’re right, he had the whole crowd jumping. He had so much energy when he performed you could feel it, like it was contagious.
Saw him perform like 3 times, the last time like a year or so before he passed. He definitely owned his crowd and his energy was unmatched! RIP X🙅🏽♀️🕊️
May he rest in power. I always loved DMX he had an energy about him that just captured you. He struggled in life, and I hope he has found peace in heaven. He is missed.

Pure souls: Tupac, DMX
Im not disagreeing but Tupac went through hella transitions in his life portraying certain images/facades that wasnt really him. DMX was the same from the first ive ever heard to the last days of his existence. Rip to both these legends though.
@@propaganja7264 you didn't t know the man. Many who knew him said he was the same. He came from a political background, and got involved in the la scene which was difficult for any 1 person to control or navigate. DMX navigated with the ruff Ryders and swizzled, but mostly solo.
@@lynetteminuteword up and I also wish ppl would keep in mind that Pac DIED at 25. That’s mad young. Maddd young. It kinda unfair to compare someone whose life was cut short at only 25 vs someone who got to live double that.

I love love love X.... RIP X 💔🕊️ you will forever be missed
I saw DMX at the Midland theater in KC. His mixer went out, and he proceeded to do three songs, acapella, and didn't miss a beat. It was tremendous. Meth & Redman descended down from the ceiling on cables. When they reach the audience they started taking blunts from concert goers and smoking them. I'm like, this is KC, that sh!t might be 'wet'. Best concert ever.
You obviously never heard DMX story. He became who he was because someone laced his weed with wet. 😳
@khalilparks3049 Red & Meth was smoking the crowd blunts not X
You think Sherms are unique to KC?
Those were the days. Great night

Rest Up, X ..One of the best to ever do it..
A natural showman and his energy was UNmatched
I saw this live in Kansas City at Kemper Arena. Method Man and Red Man flying over the crowd. Was one of my favorite live shows I've been to.

The hard knock life tour was the best concert I've ever been to. JS
It was in 1999 I was 10 yrs old and cried boo hoo tears cuz I wasn't old enough to go. My step dad brought me every piece of merch that was there and put it on in my bed when he came home. I knew THEN lil Wayne was gonna be the greatest..but DMX was undescribable...I knew that as a child. Rip to the dark man X. Sir Earl Simmons 🙏🏾💐👑

Thank you for putting the link to the actual video in this short!!!!!👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 cause I never see that and so mad recon to look for the original videos and sometimes give up in the process!!
DMXs show was simple just him & a DJ He didn't have to have a hundred guys on stage with mics that's what I like about his shows plain & simple
His prayers were so deep and heart filled. Mane I miss that voice 😢

It's true that very first time you hear X you get touched... you felt that shit... we all moved on... X YOU ARE INCREDIBLE
First, the rappers respected X, then they love him, then it turn to jealousy and envy. Now that he's gone, it's back to love and admiration
Facts…also if he wasn’t battling all his inner demons and addictions..then a lot of these other rappers wouldn’t gotten so popular as they would of 🤔
Name them
Mef just a real nikka u luv ur brotha but still talk shit dnt mean u dnt wanna see him shine or hate. I seen tons of interviews with both together and even by him aelf and its all luv n respect. X woukda probably laughed at this shit cause he hated a dick rider anyway.
No envy. We all knew he chased the dragon.
Method man and the wu never changed on X. They still family with Ruff Ryders
I love and miss this man so much. He was someone I took as a brother in my heart. He probably never knew me from a can of paint..but I did love his spirit indeed. He was a real one ❤😢

X shows were so loud that it felt like the building was vibrating and it felt like it was about to explode real ish
That's true. When the hard knock life tour come to my city. At ten yrs old we could hear the arena shake and boom from across town. So when meth tells this story he's telling the truth cuz I could remember then the town shaking with a boom boom. Felt like a mini earth quack. That's when you knew X was on stage. That boom-boom...
