As of 28.03.2024 (Patch 1.0.43.0) :
The HDR Max Luminance slider is now functioning correctly. You no longer need the FIX. if you have it installed, remove it by deleting the two files.
The developers fix appears to be working correctly.

My HDR is working only when i use volume slider overlay and when that fades colours become dull again. 3060TI W10 HDR enabled. When i put game in windowed mode i get full HDR and all colours but windowed mode is so small and i cant remove top bar.

Duuude i could feel something is off even after mod install. thats what happens to me too, my god it looks so goood when I do the windows volume UI. I literally stopped playing now because I'm ruining my experience.

I have the exact same problem!
I saw on a forum that if you decrease your desktop width size in nvidia control panel by one unit and then run the game in the original resolution you were playing before, it gets fixed.
So I tried it and it was actually fixed! But unfortunately the next day I tried to play the game again the problem was back, this time desktop size change didn’t help. But try it maybe it will work for you…

Hello gamers I bestow a fix that may or may not work for everyone.
I fixed the HDR volume bug by enabling ‘console mode’ on my AW3423dwf monitor. That setting was under my monitor Settings, Game, Console Mode, On/Off
Leaving the setting on hasn’t introduced problems for other HDR games so I just left it on.
