Really amazed and inspired by your approach and design!! I am just getting into consultancy after having used Notion for my own projects for the past few years......the future is looking brighter, thank you
Appreciate it Nathaniel. Honestly, using Notion for my own client projects has increased the workload I can handle dramatically. Looking forward to hearing how it goes for you!
I would like to take some bits from your template, I've already started working on a client portal for my clients but need some direction. I was excited to give yours a try but when I looked at it the layouts section and template buttons on the left are not there... how come?
Hey, thanks for the comments. On the first point: the Layouts, Components and other template widgets in the left menu are actually part of our tool called ‘Flotion’-it’s what I used to build this Client Portal which is why you can still see it in this video! Flotion itself is one of our paid products, while the Client Portal template you should be able to duplicate with the link on this video
@@landmarklabs YESSSS it is! I’m currently watching the 2.0 and working on my build THANKS SO MUCH! --Everyone buy his Template! Game changer for all NOTION USERS!
Amazing work on your website. So much work has gone into your content. Just wondering what is the difference between Client Portal 2.0 and Client Project OS: Shared Workspace? Is Client Portal 2.0 the latest and best option?
Hi Dan, appreciate it! Client Portal 2.0 is, I believe, an improved version of the Client Project OS. The menu navigation is cleaner and more consistent, and there’s an invoice tracker added which wasn’t in the original. Core databases and ‘content’ is effectively the same though 👌
Also, at the end there when you showed how to invite people to use the portal. Do you suggest having a template and duplicating and tweaking to suit the client and then inviting them via email? My original plan was to have them duplicate the template and then send me the link after they named their template/new dashboard and made it public and editable. That would be better if I wanted to have it more automated maybe for a low ticket plan with less back and forth, I'd still want to have their dashboard/profile link and save it in a table to reference. Do you have any videos showing this? Thanks
I don’t have any specific videos covering this, but it’s a good point and a good topic-will add it to my list of future videos! If your clients are comfortable with Notion, then yes I’d recommend what you’ve outlined-have them duplicate it, then invite you to the workspace. That’ll also mean you don’t have to invite lots of clients to *your* Notion workspace and get hit with Notion team limits. What you can also do is create a database template from this Client Portal and generate new portals all in the same gallery. See this video for a demo on how to do that if helpful! ruclips.net/video/aARyU-HyUtw/видео.html
Second option would be for if you wanted to invite via email from your workspace, and keep an overview of all your client portals/create new ones very quickly
@@landmarklabs yea... so I was wondering about that. I was looking at the pricing. Will I get charged after a certain number clients/"Team members". Yes on the template page I'll embed a video showing them the process. If they're inviting me, then they won't need to make their notion public? Or do they still need to do that? Thanks for the video demo
Yep, so you’ll be able to invite 5 guest users at a time to your workspace before being charged, after that you’ll need to upgrade and pay Notion for seats. If they duplicate and invite, on the other hand, they don’t need to make it public, they just need to free up one seat for you as a Guest with Full Access and invite you by email.
To clarify, if you go the route where the client duplicates and invites, you won’t be limited to 5 seats for free as ‘your seat’ will always be individually counted on the Client’s side/Notion account-and I don’t know of any limits as to how many workspaces you can be invited to 👌

You’re a GENIUS!
I've just updated the description to include the Client Portal 2.0 template built in the vid. Hope you find it helpful!

Hi Yakov, thanks for noting this. I've updated the link, hopefully that's fixed it now!
