AC-12 (according to some sources, AC-31), also known as Losharik, is a Russian top-secret deep-sea nuclear submarine (according to the official Russian naval classification - a nuclear deep-sea station), which does not carry weapons and is capable of diving, according to some sources, to a depth of up to 6,000 meters (diving was practically demonstrated the device to a depth of up to 3000 meters). In 2015, NATO experts concluded in their analytical materials that such Russian deep-sea submarines as the AC-12, capable of being located on the ocean floor of most of the world's oceans, can be upgraded into a "submarine on wheels" capable of moving along the seabed. According to experts, this effectively eliminates the possibility of detecting such devices by acoustic and magnetometric means, so such a device can imperceptibly approach protected objects and carry out a surprise attack.
One important thing to note is test depth is not the same as the maximum depth a submarine can operate at. Virginia and Seawolf class subs can go at least 1000m deep but the number is likely even deeper
What about Trieste ? In 1960, it became the first crewed vessel to reach the bottom of Challenger Deep in the Mariana Trench, the deepest point in Earth's seabed
@@ralfhtg1056 I once read the recollections of a participant in that dive. He wrote that at great depth, the submarine was filled with loud, frightening sounds of metal bending under pressure. At some point, due to the pressure, the bolts in the joints started shooting out, and the crew decided to abort the dive and surface.
I love how everyone seems to know what depth a boat can go. This is classified information and one of the most important pieces of information that the enemy must not find out. Pointless video. Sorry!

Assuming the seabed floor at that depth is navigable and somewhat level.

Absolutely incorrect information!
Not even close

Or the Deepsea Challenger in 2012.
Russia has the coolest sumbarines
Half of these Russian subs are out of commission
tell that to the crew of the kursk

Orzel was from Poland, not Netherlands.

Good video about depth of submarines😊
Atmospheric pressure left youtube
Very good video 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
The Komsomolets had a diving depth of 1300 m, not 1250 m. The German Type 212A is missing (400 m diving depth, 700 m destruction depth).
In reality Komsomolets never dived below 1027 meters. So 1300 max depth just on paper.
@@IlyaSinitsin good to know. Because Wikipedia states 1300m as max. Diving depth

Most are in Russians scrapyard. Do you really think Russian would be able to maintain these at seaworthy levels?
South Korea?

Hi everyone , i would love to hit 500 before my birthday , so i can get. a professional led light for recording
India has also indigenously developed submarines why didn't you added them.
False, Borei submarines can more dive deeper than 400m. Maybe 600 or 750 m, same as an Oscar 2 sub.
World happiness country list❤
There are plenty of Russian deep diving subs. They just never surface again. 😐
bathyscaphe is not a submarine...
I thought the Kursk was able to go deeper…
