I’m glad you did a setup video on this model! I’m running a 4S 2200 in mine, but just can’t get the battery positioned correctly to compensate for CG. I’ve adjusted the tail section (elevons) to the dimples on the fuselage so that’s not the issue. I’ve watched many videos on this model to see where others have placed their batteries. My issue is that no matter where o place my battery pack, the plane is either too nose heavy or too tail heavy. Should I just resort to lead weights in the nose section to get perfect CG?
Fly it SLIGHTLY nose heavy and don't get too hung up on cg. Getting perfect cg is almost impossible. If level and it just SLOWLY tilts one way or the other your good but a sudden drastic drop needs attention. Try to get it as perfect as you can but don't get so concerned about it that you wont fly it.
I will keep that in mind the next time I take my model up! I’ve seen the battery placement of both your 3S and 4S batteries in your other videos and noticed that I’ve been putting mine closer to the tail section for “perfect CG”.
I pretty much cover all the electronic setups for this E-Flite or any plane with similar Smart electronics.
WOW, so many great tips in this. Thanks. I really like the I button for reverse. I just set my Turbo Timber Evo. up like that.
Thanks, well the bind button is a safe route to go.
