- Planning a flight? Boeing’s 737 Max-9 is back in rotation, weeks after the US company came under fire for a near-catastrophic incident aboard one of its planes. Alaska Airlines 1282 was forced to make an emergency landing when part of its wall blew off mid-flight. It’s not the first time a 737 Max has had problems. So what’s being done?

no. that turnaround time for planes built so evidently badly is implausible, and the FAA has completely failed to reestablish its credibility. the delay for the MCAS-related recertification was strangely long, but there is no way they have now taken apart and reassembled those planes as thoroughly as the evident level of negligence in that spirit aerosystems factory calls for. they are basically testing for other faults on passenger flights, because they have only checked the planes for the already proven problems. the planes partially built in that factory will continue to be much less safe to fly than probably any other airliner in america.
There is only one reason why this has happened, greed. Boeing knew it would cost them billions in potential revenue to go thru a complete design overhaul so they cut corners. They didn't even tell pilots about the MCAS system. That's absolutely criminal. Shame on them putting profits over lives
How was this down to greed? how did they know it was going to cost them billions in revenue? how did they cut corners? Not telling pilots about mcas is absolutely criminal? shame on the industry putting profit over lives heh
@@Begeye-bh5ux this just happened out of the blue.
Lol, this comments guy defending boeing is in way over his head 😂
Anyone seeing this after feb 11th.. let's hope my flight went good 😂 anyone seeing this before.. keep your fingers crossed for me
Just don’t take a max
@@DWoodsII my flights booked and it's too expensive to buy a different flight...
I'm alive!
From a former airline pilot in the U.S.,
...thanks for a well researched and fair report.
...the report refers to the plug door as a "part of the wall".
I like how they say the “737 is the most popular aircraft”. Thats kind of like saying “comcast is the most popular service” when its literally the only ISP option on your street
Boeing 737 Max, the flying Russian Roulette...
Flying American roulette
The woman saying " We literally thought we were going to die". What a horrifying experience.
And these are the same companies lobbying to only require one pilot per flight
At Boeing, safety features like door bolts don't come with the original sale, you only get them with the extended warranty ...
Sounds like it's never safe to fly and never was.
If it's a Boeing, I ain't going!
good for you
Well, now they probably making more money by producing a netfix serie regarding the 737 MAX drama instead of selling this jet.
I just flew on one last night and it was 70% empty 😂
Think of it as being 30% full 😂
As traveller's can we choose our airplanes that u fly in.... Max737 is literally a Coffin ⚰️ 😢😢
yes you can. More often that not, when you search for a ticket, youll see what aircraft youll be flying on. Sometimes they do change it at the last minute for operational reasons but thats rare.
not just them, spirit aerosystems also produces parts for other boeing types and for the airbus 350.
I had a flight recently from Bangkok to Taipei, and the cheapest OK airline flew 787s. I paid $100 more to fly on an Airbus.
@@aluisious @@aluisious 787 is apparently very nice when it works, but is also partially built by spirit. I don't know what the cutoff date should be, but I would absolutely trust older boeings, including older 737 models. I think the NG models were still fine, but don't quote me on that. as far as we know, boeing basically let spirit be responsible for all the shoddiness, so it appears like the reasonable thing to do if you don't think that the definitely very elevated risk of the max models and such is still low enough (since it may not be higher than the risks of other transportation methods) is to look up a complete list of all airliner models using parts built by spirit aerosystems, and avoid those. optionally also avoid all boeings newer than spirit aerosystems (unrelated to spirit airways btw, they must be livid xD). oh, and of course some airlines have renamed their maxes to something else.
is it common now for boeing flights to be discounted? that would be pretty funny.
no you cant choose what to fly on. if you think its a coffin go tell boeing
"Never in commercial aviation history has there been a series of events like this with one aircraft type.' Maybe Alex should google the de Havilland Comet...
manuals and traings are not great we had to inspect deactivated fuselage parts or sensitive ones and inspected more then instructed look further
Pakistanis are so lucky, they have just 45 working planes of which just 2 are max 737 planes, ❤❤❤, extremely lucky guys.most of the other planes are more than 18 years old though.
Banned in all of world except Asia and Canada.
I am never gonna step a foot on these death tubes.
how are they death tubes
Just watched the netflix documentary on this plane yesterday and I'd not feel comfortable flying in it.
then dont fly
@@nickolliver3021 thanks for the advice
@@reallymakesyouthink dont worry by the media. They make everyone feel scared flying on it. We need to sedhow tbe year goes on if things pick up
The 737 Max is the modern age DC-10, reputation wise.
I would take a bus before I would fly in a 737 CRASH series plane
thats any plane
I'm flying with Airbus all day🙂
U flight attendant?
I have never been on the plane as I don't feel safe on any of them.
drive instead
No they are likely not

@@nickolliver3021 because Boeing is a horrible company that knew about all the flaws that resulted in deaths. The Boeing 737 MAX passenger airliner was grounded worldwide between March 2019 and December 2020 - longer in many jurisdictions - after 346 people died in two similar crashes: Lion Air Flight 610 on October 29, 2018 and Ethiopian Airlines Flight 302 on March 10, 2019. They knew of these flaws and pilots repeatedly told the company there needed to be better training and more resech about the miscommunication between the software and its autocorrection aka over correction of the pitch of the plane in relation to a hardware piece that physically measured the pitch. These design flaws were brought to their attention and they decided it was worth the liability cost wise to lose a few planes than ground the whole fleet. In the end they killed hundreds of people and their company never really suffered much so they were correct this economic and government system rewards these choices.
Mrs Richards: "I paid for a room with a view !"
Basil: (pointing to the lovely view) "That is Torquay, Madam ."
Mrs Richards: "It's not good enough!"
Basil: "May I ask what you were expecting to see out of a Torquay hotel bedroom window ? Sydney Opera House, perhaps? the Hanging Gardens of Babylon? Herds of wildebeest sweeping majestically past?..."
Mrs Richards: "Don't be silly! I expect to be able to see the sea!"
Basil: "You can see the sea, it's over there between the land and the sky."
Mrs Richards: "I'm not satisfied. But I shall stay. But I expect a reduction."
Basil: "Why?! Because Krakatoa's not erupting at the moment ?"
DEI affecting airlines now too? 🤔
Bruce Springsteen if I fall behind
I like how this podcast did not answer the question of its own title 🤣
Boeing needs better-quality passengers hahahaha.
I wouldn't risk it. Give me Airbus every trip!
the A350 uses parts from the same garbage factory spirit aerosystems. as well as some other new boeing models not called max, including the 787.
just dont risk flying then
Flying Tesla's...crash and burn 😂
Amazing❤❤❤🎉🎉🎉
European quality is always better as compared to American. Airbus planes fly safer and smoother.
Money over lives

A year from now no one will remember what a door plug is.
weird title for an AJ Boeing video - watch your BROKEN DREAMS video and you will be reminded that nothing Boeing is doing now is safe
Freedom Palestine
No one is looking at who was seated there in the previous flights and if could one could have messed with it
Their QA QC is the flying public.
You want to sabotage Boeings? Ask what type of plane you’ll be flying in, before you buy an airplane ticket 😂
ask who?
@@Oceansta well really you don’t have to ask no one. Nearly every airline in the world lists the type of aircraft that flights will be using during the booking process, you’ll typically find airplane information displayed just below the flight details when selecting your flights.

Is it safe? It depends on where you are seated !!!! 😂
if its boeing, im not going
good for you
Ryan Air's boss would menace to buy planes for North Korea if they had some to sell and it could turn him a profit.... I don't believe what he says in the video has anything to do with anything but negotiations with Boeing.
I understand flying was never the safe way to trave in case of an emergency….
