You are both such a beautiful example of love and Faith❤
This was nice story telling and great photos. I really enjoyed this. Thank you for sharing.
Sounds like a wonderful trip, thank you for sharing it with us all! Enjoyed the pictures so much!
I live in Georgia now but I was born and raised in the Panhandle of Texas. My mama still lives out that way and fights prairie dog issues all the time. I remember my daddy taking us up on capulin volcano when I was about 10. Sounds like you had a great trip!
I have cousins who live in
New Mexico.
Glad you had a great time.
One of my favorite drives is Dumas, TX to Raton, NM…except for the time I drove through the Capulin Volcano area…60mph white out blizzard & 15 degrees. Beautiful area. We thought those were Pronghorn instead of Antelope. So glad you enjoyed your trip.
I BELEIVE THEY ARE ACUTUALLY CALLED PRONGHORN ANTELOPE AKA SPEED GOAT
Thank you Pa. What a Blessing to hear you tell of your adventure. May you have many more.
So glad you got to go, and I am happy you got to set down and tell us all about it. What a wonderful trip. Your sons no doubt will want to go next time. Thanks for sharing with us. God bless.
In my limited travels I have found that when we are nice to people they are nice to us, as well. Thank you for giving us a report of your travels, Mr. Brown!
I have been all over the world and I have found the same to be true. People might be different with different cultures and foods but treat them with respect and they respond likewise.
Thank you Ms Lori for having Mr Brown share his adventure.Very interesting & sounds like so much fun hunting these prairie dogs. I can’t wait until my husband of soon to be 44 years (this August)retires . He is 64 & still works 60-100 hours weekly. Sadly I need health insurance. But he claims he isn’t ready for retirement. GOD BLESS FROM WEST CENTRAL INDIANA FARMLAND
I'm glad you had a good and safe trip.God bless ❤😊
Thank you pa. Sure enjoyed the story. Glad you all went to help those folks. God bless
Mr. Brown, that sounds like the most coolest trip ever!!! I'm so glad you had a good time.
Blessings from Eastern Kentucky
Mr. Brown, the pictures are beautiful of your trip, looks like y'all had a good time. Glad that y'all made it there and back safely.🙏🏼🫂❤️
Thank Mr. Brown, sounds like a grand time. Texas is a big State. My father was from the panhandle of Texas and there is a lot of land. I am happy y’all could help out the ranchers with the over run of prairie dogs. We don’t have prairie dogs, but we do have moles. They have done so much damage and they eat all my earthworms. Scoundrels. God bless.❤️✝️🙏
Wow, I had no idea, thank you for sharing. Sounds like a good trip and a fun time.
So happy you enjoyed your trip! Thanks so much for sharing your journey with us!
So happy for you. Glad you had fun!

Enjoyed your story! Am so glad you got to do that.
So glad you are enjoying retirement. Everyone once should go out west❤ Love the pictures! It is a different world out there for sure. My cousin and i spent a month traveling that area.
Thank you for bringing us along on your hunt journey! Made me feel like I was actually there. Glad you also got to do a couple of kills at a longer range. Take care to you and Mrs brown!
Just for your information there’s a lake in South Texas called Lake Amistad basically on the Texas Mexico border I have never fished there but pretty popular lake in case you’re interested
Thanks for the story! I hope you get to go again!
Love you both Mr. & Mrs. Brown😍😍💕💕💕💕! God bless the both of you!!🙏🙏🌈🌈🌈🌈💐💐💐💐🕊🕊🕊🕊
Glad you had a good time!
Glad you enjoyed your trip. Thanks for sharing.
Boy oh boy, I sure learned a lot of stuff I had no knowledge of before watching this video! Very interesting. I've never been out west, never saw prairie dogs other than at a zoo. Glad you had a cool trip and met so many new friends!
Loved hearing about yourtrip, and really glad you enjoyed it. My husband and I love New Mexico. These east Texans go west every chance we get,
I was born and raised in Colorado. My Great Grandfather and Grandfather homesteaded in Northern Colorado. He went off to WWI in France, then came back to Colorado.
The animals here are the Lords critters.
Mr Brown So Glad you Could Go on this Trip and Enjoy Yourself I am Sure Miss Lori Enjoy yourself Her Self At Home😊 🙏
Your A Good Shot💪🇺🇸
Sounds like a great trip! Makes me want to go west.
Glad you had a good time.
Great Story 😊❤
I really enjoyed hearing all about your trip so much! What fun, a guys' hunting trip. Too bad y'all weren't up for getting some coyotes..;) Very cool about the antelope and elk. Both my sons live in CO. I've seen the mule deer, but no elk or mtn goats yet, but I keep looking.😊 That made it so interesting that you went to a fund raiser and bought 2 $200 pies. I hope they were good, lol. God bless and look fwd to seeing more of y'all's travels. 🚌🙏🏼💖
We stopped in Oklahoma and stayed overnight on a ranch with our RV. The ranchershared they have to cull the Prarie dogs or the cattle can fall in the burrow and break a leg. He said they throw bubble gum back in the burrows and the Prarie dogs eat it and they can't pass it-so they die.
Oh wow
Really enjoyed this video. What a cool trip that was for you, retired man.
Yes it was!
New Mexico in the house 😊
Glad you had a nice time !
Hi Mr Brown. I loved your video and talk about your hunting trip. Very interesting and entertaining. More please. Watching from New Zealand. Didn't know about Prairie Dogs❤
THANK YOU
We don't have ground hogs. But I do get my pellet gun out and have my mother inlaw run around in the field sometimes....
FUNNY BUT NOT FOR THE MOTHER INLAW
The Folsom Museum is fantastic!
I love the West, too.
Did you happen to stop at the Capulin Country Store? That’s my parents place.
Stopped in folium
Isn’t’t Clayton near where the NRA has their shooting range is where they hold national matches
I AM NOT SURE
Thank you for sharing all the beautiful pictures! Absolutely gorgeous scenery.

Mr. Brown and Ms. Lori , you have both worked so hard!!!! I am so glad you are both living your best lives. Your channel is such a blessing to me.
Always a treat when a new video from you two pops up! I know I will enjoy it 😊
Not that I mind y’all sharing the Whippoorwill Hollow channel, but this is exactly why I hope y’all get Mr Brown’s channel up and running. The novelty of the channel and the stories he could tell… keeping the old ways alive…the insights and perspective… amazing!
Mr Brown, I enjoyed hearing this! I was in the Air Force many moons ago and spent time in Alamogordo, New Mexico. I have actually been in that "volcano" so your story hit home for me. I'm 62 and would never make it back out today! I applaud YOU!I'm glad you are able to travel and enjoy your retirement.
440 yards! That was quite a shot! Your photography was beautiful and thanks for sharing your stories!
Great report on your trip. You did an excellent job of painting a picture in our minds of what it looks like out West. A 440 yd. shot is a huge accomplishment in any man's book. Congratulations!

Thank you so much ,Mr. Brown for sharing your amazing trip with your youtube family ,
I loved listening to everything you spoke about and my husband Doug enjoyed listening and looking at all the pictures you shared .
We are so glad you are enjoying your retirement sir.
Doug my husband wants to retire next August 2025 when he turns 62 ,
We both are saving and paying off everything, which is now on his Truck and just about the home ,as my 2019 ford festa we paid off & got the title ,
Once we get those done he can retire God willing .
We even turned our cable off in 2016 - which saves us over $200 a month ,$2,400 a year , also we eat at home and since he was diagnosed with diabetes this past November 2023 we both started keto - So alot less junk in the house ,saving on groceries and growing alot in our gardens , like 317 sweet onions & red onions from hoss this past November.
God bless you & Mrs Lori .
I listen to yall alot , Doug does when he is home from work and relaxing.
Enjoy your evening and week ahead .
Big hugs

Greetings from Los Alamos,NM,
Mr. Brown! Many thanks for acknowledging our beautiful and often forgotten state.
Taos, NM is a popular tourist destination and has many beautiful sights to visit with stunning views including the Rio Grande Gorge Bridge.
As a reminder New Mexican's will commonly ask "Red, Green or Christmas" when you order food. Your choice...
The Chili here is both flavorful mild/medium/hot and amazing! A freshly made Sopapilla hot drizzled w honey is an experience within itself. Wishing you much Love, Happiness, Perfect Health and Joy in yours years to come :). Keep them videos coming!
Thank you Danny for taking us along with you on your trip out West. It sounds like a wonderful trip and getting to know so many wonderful people. You all certainly did all you could to support their causes. Congrats on your shot of 440 yards Also what was the flavor of your $200.00 dollar pie? I know those dear people loved meeting you. Great video.
I'm sure it was good but not as tasty as a Miss Lori pie.
This was very enjoyable. I’ve been to those areas in Colorado and Texas and can really appreciate what you are saying. However, I never saw the volcanoes. Thanks for sharing this with us.
Thanks about the video to buy an iron skillet from Family Dollar! I LOVE MINE!!!!! Love u guys!!!
I live in NM. Going to my Mom’s house in a rural part there was a Prairie dog colony in the land under an overpass. I always thought it a good place not to be disturbed.
Thank you for sharing your interesting and fully packed active trip with us Pa Brown! Congratulations on the LONG shot! You are a great story teller.
Love.you.to.have.fun.❤❤
Hello from SE New Mexico - enjoyed your video and glad you had a great trip, good food, met new friends and helped get rid of some prairie dogs. That 440 yard shot was a great accomplishment congrats!
Very glad you both are enjoying retirement and enjoying life. You both are such wonderful Christian people
Sounds like you met lovely people & had a fantastic time 😊
We enjoyed listening to your Clayton adventure. We love NM and have headed west from Northwest AR on 412. It's a pretty easy drive that way, just always a long way across OK! My aunt and uncle lived in Raton, which is a quaint little town. Check it out when you go that way again. Around July 4th they have a hot air balloon rally. We've enjoyed so many interesting sites/adventures all around NM. My husband's favorite is Red River.
Best wishes for a fun filled summer and wonderful retirement. We have a few more years to go, but we can't wait!🎉🎉❤
WE ACTUALLY TALKED ABOUT COMING HOME BY WAY OF 412 MAYBE NEXT TIME
We saw a lot of prairie dogs,it was 50 miles south of Grand Junction Colorado
That was very interesting! I enjoyed the pictures as well, and congratulations on the shots you made!
I’m so glad you have a good time on your trip out west. It sounds like you encountered lovely folks on your trip. Congratulations on being a 440 yards sharp shooter, that’s impressive! Thank you for sharing your trip with us. God bless you and Miss Lori. ❤
I am so glad you had a wonderful trip...You're photos sure are nice .
Really enjoyed hearing about Danny’s trip to N.M. & Colorado. Glad he’s getting to do what he wants in retirement.
Very nice trip! Thank you for sharing! NM is the southwest, born there. Beautiful sunrise and sunsets!
This sounds like a wonderful trip. The visit to Capulin Volcano sounds wonderful.I have been fortunate to make 4 trips to New Mexico and Colorado and those trips are some of my favorite memories.
Congrats on your 440! Fantastic job!!!
Mr Brown. In 2011, we had terrible flooding on the Missouri River in SE Nebraska and NW Missouri. I was an Engineer for a Class 1 railroad (just retired today-June 1). They had to reroute most of our trains and they picked engineers out of a few impacted areas and I had the pleasure of being picked and got to run mountain grade terrain my first trip from Trinidad Co to Denver. Most of the time we ran into NM. All the places u mentioned I got to see and brought back memories. That area of NM is gorgeous. If it were closer I would have transferred my certification and moved there. If in Trinidad (if it’s still there) u’ll have to go to Luna’s..on the west end of main street. They have the best wood fired pizza I have ever eaten.
Glad u had an awesome time and happy retirement-Lorie M.
Thank you Danny! I’m glad to see that you’re enjoying your retirement !🙏❤️🇨🇦
Travel 🧳🧳🧳 while you can. It will be a time when you won't feel like going 😉😉😉❤❤❤❤ There are nice people everywhere. Love from NC 💗❤️❤️❤️❤️
PS: Red Chili/Green Chili or combo of both equals "Christmas". Ms. Lori you could master them in your kitchen!
Such a lovely , calming , interesting and soothing video . Thank you 🌺
I loved this video! Just made me smile and warmed my heart! 😉 Mr. Brown and Ms. Laurie, Google Western Colorado, and specifically Ouray, Ridgway and Silverton. We live 20 min from Ridgway, 30 min from Ouray and 50 miles from Silverton. I know we don’t know one another, even though you’re on RUclips. 😉 Of course, you’d be MORE than welcome to stay in our home but……we also have full hookups for a camp trailer or motorhome. We believe we live in God’s country! 🤣 We moved back to our home state and chose to move about an 1 1/2 away from our home town because of the San Juan Mountains.
We LOVE the south and have family in Florida as well as Louisiana. My husband’s uncle (by marriage) is a proud Coonass Cajun! Being Southern, I’m sure you understand that’s not a derogatory term but something he’s VERY proud of!
I’m so happy your trip to the “west” was good!!! Our state has gotten a bit off of the rails politically. 😬 Stick with the ranchers and farmers and you’ll be just fine!!! ❤
I have been thru Clayton and husband did some work on the pipeline south of there. We had a cabin southwest of there in the mountains at 7100 feet! Love the no humidity!! We live here in humid Tulsa but go to the cabin in the summer! The big wildfires 2 years ago burned down our summer home there but with the Lords will, I am rebuilding!
Love NM.
Sounds like a wonderful trip for all. Thanks for sharing with us.
I also lived in Amarillo for a while and I went to Amistad school threw sixth grade.I also lived in Dalhart Texas., and MT Capulin, when I was a senior in school a friend and I walked the rim of that, that was hard, we didnt go down in it I don't remember any pavement, it was in 1970
Great shooting, Mr Brown! I love your sharing that everyone was so nice to you on your trip. We need to hear more of that; to know there are still many good people in this world...
Thank you for sharing your experience! It is a real different setting out here in NM when it comes to hunting. No trees or bush to hide behind particularly. I’m real glad you had such a good experience here.
Congratulations on your long shots! My dad used to go shoot groundhogs out of farmers fields as a sport, I still have the rifle he used.
