My RMR type 2 is just fine. On my rifle I have a Steiner MPS I got on sale for 349 this past July 4th. I just mounted it yesterday on my badger condition one setup. If the RMR was on sale for the same price I would have got it instead. The whole “enclosed optic fad” seems kinda overrated at this point. The RCR may change my mind. Hell the Steiner may change my mind, but it’s going on an SPR 556 so it’s much different than a reciprocating slide.

ive had 5 friends purchase the acro at different times throughout 2022-2023, all 5 had to RMA the acro due to them self destructing. Delamination, Fog inside the lens, de-purging, buttons stopped working, Battery cap lost pressure on battery. Aimpoint has been transparent that it has been their 'worst' optic in terms of RMA numbers. I would not run one due to inferior specs compared to the competition, and its track record of lifespan
Granted I don't live where it rains (South West), but my Trijicon RMR has gone strong for 10 years of duty and CCW carry... and roughly around 100k rounds through it by being mounted on different guns. I still think the RMR is the gold standard. I wish Trijicon upped their game and released some dots with more updated features, but I'm still happy with the simplicity and reliability of a RMR. I was eyeing the ACRO simply because it's supposed to be the "latest and greatest", but I'm glad I came across this information. Saved me some good amount of $$$.
"More updated features" I would like to introduce you to the RCR and (what will be my next pistol optic after a string of Holosun 509's that I've been super happy with) the RMR HD.
@@CatholicKitRifle dots is where aimpoint excels at, but that being said I see holosuns being thrown onto the used market ALL THE TIME. Can’t help but wonder why lol
I had one of the early p2s, only red dot I’ve ever had that experienced a catastrophic failure (emitter popped out of the housing and the dot was offset by several feet at 7 yards) The replacement has held up so far, probably 5k rounds at this point but I don’t keep great track. One thing that is pretty nice about acro is night vision usage, which doesn’t matter for most folks. But the glass is very clear and the brightness settings are nice.
I have Holosun, Trijicon, Aimpoint, Leupold, and even Steiner. I like all of them. From all the above, I’ve only had to send my Holosun back for repair/ replacement. Personally, from all the optics above, I like the Acro the best because it is a close emitter optic with the largest window I can find. Second place is the Steiner. I’m done with open emitter optics and hate small glass with a narrow FoV. In a perfect world, I’d have a closed emitter SRO or Leupold DPP.
“Enclosed emitter with largest window you can find” What?! It’s literally a smaller window than micro dots 😂 It’s like one of the smallest windows of any dot out there. Acro P2 - 16mm x 16mm = 256 Steiner MPS - 21mm x 16mm = 336 Holosun EPS 22.8mm x 16mm = 365 TriJicon RCR - 22.4mm x 16.3mm = 365
I carried the Beretta for 28 of my 32 years, primarily as an MP in the Marine Corps and Security Forces/CATM/Raven in the Air Force. I maintained a SF Armory both CONUS and Iraq. I personally saw very few broken M9's, more parts wear in Marine M9's because of poor maintenance. The M18 in the last 2 years before my retirement was absolutely a mess.
I have a Holosun 507C X2G on my Staccato XC -- somebody at the shop told me I should have boughten American and specifically an ACRO. I did what I wanted instead -- to each their own.
@@thatonedoood I love telling people that Aimpoint is a European company that builds optics using components bought from China lol, to be honest I don't really care where my optic is made as long as it's not marked up 50+ percent of the manufacturing cost like everything AImpoint sells
I keep telling people this,it’s cheaper I wouldn’t use it in duty,me:so it works everyday at range which means it’s working and u probably will never use in self defense but buy a trijicon and it failed at range 2nd trip wth make it make sense for the money
Holosun fails, trash Chinese optic. Rmr or Acro fail, “their customer service was great”. These optics fail just as much if not more in some cases then Holosun optics.
The acro p2 is failing at an alarming rate. I don’t know this personally but I’ve heard this from more than a few shooters and i mix it up with lots of shooters. Oddly i didn’t hear this about the p1.
By this logic Aimpoint = Vortex. "Vortex customer service is awesome. I've sent back 8 scopes and they sent new ones everytime". Can you hear yourselves? 😂
@HWG-wm8ld most of the people that have actually extensively tested them have found the Acro P2 and the RCR are failing more (mostly the seal failing) than the Holosun EPS and EPS carry. The Holosuns are the only micro-optic Barrel&Hatchet haven't had fail.
I ain't rich. I do have one premium handgun and one premium black rifle. When I show up to a class with them I always get questioned from guys with top line stuff why I have holosuns on them, implying they are inferior. I just give blah blah answers but at the end of class some times I'm tempted to tell those guys, hey look, I shot just as good as you, maybe better, with holosun. I've had the same dots since 2020 too, none have gone down. All holosun, because that was what the good deals were at the times I was buying.
Beretta problems were only because the military decided to use way overpressured ammo in the beginning. Not unlike the adoption of the m16 when they disregarded the manufacturer to save money and had the ammo making the guns malfunction. Except in the case of the m16 the ammo decision caused people to lose their life
Well, since only one unit used the 226 in the navy, it’s numbers. If 10 out of 100 pistols had issues isn’t news worthy. If 1000 out of 6000 pistols had issues, that is. It was early on, same time as the beretta issues.
I don't know much about the acros durability. But I think they are just too bulky and big for such a small window. That's why I like the EPS full size. Decent size window and closed emitter
I ordered one when they first came out. Had the front interior glass brake. I called and told me to send it in. 4 or 5 weeks I was like where is this thing. I called back and they sent me one right out. I then ordered another one in case something happened to the new from Aimpoint. I got the replacement and within two weeks of using it something little black plastic was rolling around inside. The new one I had ordered I have been using it ever since with no problems. It was definitely a surprise.
What environment, what batteries and how long did they last at x brightness level? It'd be nice to have some rough data on the Acro p2s and the CR1225.
I’ve got an ACRO. Never had a problem with it. I’ve got an RMR, never had a problem with it. I’ve got a 507c, never had a problem with it. They all do the same thing and I can definitively say, for me, there is no difference besides a little bit of dot clarity on the ACRO and RMR, and the ACRO gets really bright. It’s all good man, buy what you want but at least go out and shoot with it.
@@onpsxmember the ACRO is a p2 that I bought about 6 months ago. Has about 1000 on it. My RMR probably has 5-6k on it and it’s on my 19 carry gun. It’s probably 4 years old. The 507c, I have no idea. It’s on a 17 that’s my practice that also doubles as USPSA gun when I get the rare opportunity to do that. I do understand that I don’t have nearly enough on the ACRO to be really objective about it.
So I've only ever owned 4(5?) handgun dots. A gen 1 ACRO, that guy went 30k rounds for me, it would fog under extreme humidity but I'd just bump the brightness up one setting and move on with shooting, a gen 2 ACRO which is still pretty new to me and I got it for less than the other dot I own: the Steiner MPS I've had 2 or 3 of these things. The uncertainty comes from my having to send one of them in because one of the tabs that hold the battery in broke and it would cause the thing to flicker off, not sure if they sent me a new one or fixed the one I sent in. It's not some wonder optic, I've just had good luck with them.
I agree with this. I've enjoyed my time on the Acro. I have 3. Two are on pistols and one is an offset dot on a rifle. I understand why people don't like them, but as you stated in the video; it's just an option for the enclosed emitters. I've never had issues, but I understand that others have. I bought them because I've had a great time with them and for no other reason. Thanks for coming to my Ted talk.
As someone who has actually had things like snow and torrential rain occlude my optic im going to add another hot take in that closed emitters are overhyped in general. A bunch of people who will never suffer from having an open emitter have real strong opinions about them.
But there is no controversy. When they first came out, a bunch of LE and military shooters at my local match were already bitching about fogging and dot failures within 3 months of release. They've always been trash. They're still trash.
There is only 1 thing premium about the Acro... and that is the optical coatings Aimpoint puts on them. I've shot virtually all of the red dots under night vision and the Acro has by far the best light transmission besides maybe some of the new Sig stuff. I own both a P1 and P2 and besides inconsistent battery life I have been happy with them and their performance. But I agree that Aimpoint has had a ton of QC issues with them in the last 2 years so unless you're a hardcore night vision user it would not be my first recommendation.
@@onpsxmember Aimpoint is behind the curve on cutting edge and efficient LED manufacture. That's where Holosun has cornered the market. My P1 has really poor battery life if I leave it on. It will barely make a few months on an normal daylight setting. The P2 is much better but still struggles to get to a full year with constant on. In the end Aimpoint made the optic for professional military end users who routinely change their batteries out before every operation. The Acro was never designed to be a concealed carry or competition optic - period.
In reservist circles the holosuns have good rep but aimpoints have better. Ofc, the T2 is incredible. My C1 has been to repair once for some clutter on the lens and just in winter I noticed it was fogging up. So they ruined it during repair... But neither problem really stopped me from shooting. I bought aimpoint because it tends to rain often (water or snow or both) and mainly because we have a lot of negative degrees that we shoot in and I suspect the chinese products may not last there. I have neither never had a positive experience of a product made in china. But nowdays with global companies owning everything along with DEI and ESG you can get crap from anywhere.
@@DavidLLambertmobilelol bro you're poor if you're online talking about or debating an item with a difference of a few hundred dollars. I've worked for billionaires and they don't bother with these miniscule things.
@@DavidLLambertmobileyea I was gonna say I just picked up an XC recently but you’ll probably just “flex” some other ultra premium double stack 1911 to make sure I know I’m still a “poor”. 😂. The previous gen ACRO wasn’t for poors either, especially if you couldn’t afford to change the batteries once a week. 🤣
So my understanding from a friend that is an aimpoint dealer is that there was 1 really bad batch of ACROs that had issues, especially with the glass coming loose or not staying sealed and allowing the moisture issues. I’ve had nothing but good experiences with my ACROs, but I’m not emotionally attached to my pistol optic. I went with it because I saw tons of people talking about issues with their 509T that kept having moisture issues, even the replacement they were sent by Holosun.
That’s why for duty I recommend the trijicon RCR and for serious civilian (and maybe duty on a budget) the Steiner MPS. For ccw I’d just go with holosuns EPS line.
I have an acro p2 on one gun... because it's cut for an acro. I won't be buying another. I don't have a bad experience with it, but its window is a bit small for my liking and I can't get it to conceal for crap no matter how I carry the gun because the enclosed format makes the rear of the optic print. Not all enclosed optics do this. The holosuns don't, for instance. Really just a problem with the acros, mps, and their budget copies. I can give the mps a pass since it cost me like $175 when everyone was blowing them out. I just can't justify a second acro though, even through it makes a pretty good offset rifle dot.
I have 2 Acro P2. I recently sent one away because of the “grease” leaking down on the inside glass which you obviously can’t wipe off and it obscures your view. I still like the Acro very much but I think I will go with the SRO on an XC I have coming. That being said the Acro is a great dot for me so I would recommend them with a caution. Thank you
i’ve had 2 acro p2s, on a g19 and g47. the one on my g19 sheared off at the locking bar randomly at around 2500 rounds, bought the FCD reinforced locking bar for both of them. performance and distortion wise this is my favorite pistol optic i’ve used but seeing that made me question the aimpoint “indestructible” title. definitely not a t2…
I got a blem sig romeo 2 for my first "enclosed" dot after I heard of people having issues with fogging and debris in their enclosed dots. I like that if there is an issue of moisture or debris (which hasnt happened yet) that I am the QC and don't need to send something to the factory. Been doing well so far.
I agree with this assessment. My experiences with them have been about the same. If I could do it all over again I would go with Holosun and save me ton of money especially since I have about a dozen red dots.
Acro owner here. I wanted a gun with an optic that will work 100% of the time. I chose the Glock 19, and the acro p2. Glock because well... it's a Glock And the acro because of my experience in the military with aimpoint (comp m2, comp m4 and m5). I thought the acro would be the obvious choice. Now seeing all this surface up does make me doubt my decision, so far the acro has been good to me. The biggest problem tho, I'm from Israel, couldn't buy it here and I imported it from the US, so basically, I got no warranty which means, if 1 thing surfaces up, I'm screwed.... So, anyways, in your opinion, what's the most reliable and rugged optic?
@@SuperAbsolute yeah 100% My top priority in an optic is reliability, other than that, I guess most dots basically do the same thing and there's not much of a difference. Thought the acro would be the best. Btw, here in Israel, optics are sooo expensive. Importing the acro from the US costs the same as the holosun 509
I got em all, I like enclosed and I’m a big fan of the 509, but I did have to send in the 509 I carry daily because the plastic on the buttons peeled off and reveled electrical board . They fixed it fast , but the material and design of the ACRO and Trijicons is definitely higher quality than Holosun. That being said , I love Holosun and recommend to everyone
I've had people look down on me for putting 507 comps on an infinity and atlas. I just laughed thinking why do you care what I put on MY gun? This one guy went on to get very emotional and claiming he was military etc. I have military friends and they don't throw around being in the military to put people down for the decisions they make. I remember making a comment asking why he's being so emotional about the SRO and he replied by saying the military trained emotion out of him, but he wouldn't stop being emotional about why I have 507 comps on my guns.
RMR mounted atop my SDO (and every IAR) during my time in the Corps took a proper beating. Their glass was umm….not great condition…but they still functioned strong; no issues
Thanks for the info, I'm wanting to pick up an Archon Type B Gen 2 and trying decide on which red dot slide cut I want. Acro P2 vs RMR. All the stuff I was reading and reviews I was watching had me leaning RMR cut.
From all reports I've seen and heard from people who have more experience with ACROs than just the one they bought, they seem to have a lot of QC issues. Plus they are huge. For ccw they are too big and a waste of money. IMO the only enclosed emitter red dots that are a reasonable size for ccw are the EPS/SCS Carry. But the fogging issue is why I went open emitter. You can always at least wipe the lens on both sides and see through it ro use irons. Since there is no way to immediately remove a red dot from a pistol maintaining the optical path for the irons is more important to me than the tiny chance a rain drop or speck of dust blocks the emitter since I can use irons in that case. If the inside surface of an enclosed lens fogs, your have nothing but point shooting.
Ben gotta ask, Are slow motion reps still valuable? I noticed in some of your very first videos you incorporate slow motion reps for draws and reloads. In a lot of your recent videos talking about speed of shooting you mention how the qual mindset of “slow down and get your hits” can be detrimental to shooter development because you’re not pushing yourself, just teaching yourself to miss slower. Using just one example; am I hurting myself or wasting time by doing 40 slow motion reloads (say about 50-60 percent of full speed) and then trying to hit my desired par time with another 40? Curious what you think.
In regards to the Beretta handguns; you were buying new and we’re maintaining it properly, the military ones suffered due poor upkeep and cheapening on poor quality magazines.
My P2 got dust behind the glass. Not in the actual nitrogen purged part, the sacrificial lens part. Warrantied it, got a new one. Dust got behind the glass again. I’m just rolling with it. I really do think the fogging and dust is because of the sacrificial glass. Get rid of that and they’d be fine. Question is, if ACRO isn’t premium, what exactly IS premium? RMR? Does premium exist when the conditions the red dot is under are so harsh that the optic is going to fail no matter what?
The only thing it’s a step up in is cost 😅, I don’t think they’re awful but I also think the Holosun EPS is a contender with a better track record. How’ve almost all of the enclosed dots are not issue free. They take a lot of abuse and it’s a manufacturing struggle to keep them air tight. I also wonder if the type of pistol they’re mounted on doesn’t contribute depending on how aggressively the slide reciprocates.
Have an ACRO, kind of fell into one. It's fine, I prefer my SRO and 507C more. It's a smaller T2 and has the same benefits and risks associated with the T2.
TBH I run the Steiner MPS and I think it’s way better. I have both the acro.p2. I bought it cause it was the hot thing on the interwebs. But using both I def prefer the Steiner. Cheaper too and smaller foot print. Although the acro does look real good on a Glock slide. Aesthetically it fits the profile of the slide. It’s hard to deny the fashion involved in the gun world.
steiner is amazing only issue with it is the non existent shakeawake and yeah the acro looks great on glocks I assume thats one of the reason the hype is so great on those optics and while trying to meet demand aimpoint is neglecting their QC at least thats my head canon
Just got your book Practical Pistol in the mail from Amazon for myself and a new shooter friend as a gift. He wants to know what guns you would recommend for a new shooter that wants to eventually do competition for fun/hobby. Would you start on the Beretta 92 today, if you had to do it all over again?
I can say from experience that the replacement parts and mags to e military used for the M9 were often out of spec and made by the lowest bidder …… causing the M9 to gain a reputation it does not deserve
Dead serious the reason I trust Canik and Holosun over other brands is because I’ve experienced them just run under harsh conditions. I’ve never had a malfunction or failure.
@thinkharder9332 Scott Jedinski is on record dropping an SRO several times before breaking. It's not that fragile, but I wouldn't use it for LE or Military use.
May want to check the new sig Romeo X enclosed. I use a Holosun EPS myself and I’ve never loved an optic so much. I’ll never use a non enclosed on a carry gun again.
I have the rmr and love it. I also love the 508t holosun. I have the eps carry and it’s great as well. I thought about going and getting an Afro but from this video I doubt I will. I am not paying a premium if it’s not a step up or bomb proof I am extremely rough on my guns and optics. I don’t need and expensive mailbox 😂
I’ve seen them broken and regret every holosun I’ve bought as they’ve all broken. Bit the bullet on a RCR and it’s the only optic that’s really held up well at all. (So far/for now lol)
@@onpsxmember likes is that it hasn’t worked its way loose like my 509ACSSs did. It’s just rock solid, no solar gimmicks etc just simple done well. Dislike is the reticle. The awesome reticle options from Holosun play really well with my eyes as I have an astigmatism. The RCR’s dot is relatively small and when I get it bright enough for my liking/ to be visible in the wide range of lighting in my era it is often pretty far from a nice crisp dot. But again that’s just my shit eyes. So yeah dot size I could see people, especially competition oriented guys, not loving it.
@@onpsxmember also the finish on the Trijicon is much tougher. My RCR gets the same treatment as my holosuns and doesn’t look beat up at all. Large buttons are good too.
Only thing good about the acro is the mounts work with my two MPS dots. Crazy also that I get a way better military discount from Steiner than aimpoint and I deployed with an aimpoint
I commented on the ACRO IG post and I said that I know instructors who have 4 broken ACROs. Guys started talking about just send it back to Aimpoint and they'll fix it. How many times does Aimpoint need to fix/replace your optic for you to finally can it? Is it every 5000 or 10,000 rounds. The ACRO is supposed to be a duty/combat ready optic and I don't think it's ready for prime time.
I have 2 of the Steiner MPS red dots (you should test some of those out) but the glass is super clear and they’re *at least as reliable if not more reliable than the acro for around half the price.
How much did you shoot with them? How long does the battery last? The one thing that holds me back is the weight and less day brightness settings. I'll mostly use it at range days so having one too bright and one too dim might annoy me. I only had them in hand at a fair, so hard to say under different lighting. NV is not important.
@@onpsxmember I’ve got probably 2,500 rds on one of them on my Glock 19, and at least 1,000 (maybe closer to 1,500) on the other on my m&p 2.0. I haven’t had any batteries die yet. Steiner says the battery life is 13,000 hours so, like a year and a half. If you change the battery once a year like any other red dot, I doubt you’d ever have any issues. I haven’t had any issues with dot brightness during day time and that includes facing towards the sun, away, and at noon when the sun is right overhead. No issues with brightness and I’m not even at the brightest settings. I’m actually very happy with both of them. I really haven’t had any issues out of either (yet) we’ll see what happens when I get through 5,000 rds and closer to 10,000. Maybe we’ll start seeing some problems then, who knows? But for real, the MPS is a little more than half the cost of the Acro P2. I got both of mine for like $375. The acro is like 6-700 depending on where you get it from. And for what it’s worth I’ve seen a lot more Acros failing online than I have MPS’s.
My agency tested 3 of them and broke all 3. But I think they broke everything at least 2/3 for everything tested, except the Sig military enclosed optic.
They only fit on the M17/M18. The romeo x enclosed is lower, wider and lighter so they use a 1632 instead of a 2032. Battery cap might be an issue losing the 'top hat'.
I am looking at my first handgun optic and leaning towards a holosun 507c X2G, is there any other good choice for direct mount RMR pattern that's not ridiculously priced? I like my holosun rifle optics but paid for the higher end red dots.
I just don't understand what exactly 'Premium' means in the context of these items. Is it reliability? Battery life? Looks? What exactly is premium about the ACRO compared to any other off the shelf dot?

ive had 5 friends purchase the acro at different times throughout 2022-2023, all 5 had to RMA the acro due to them self destructing.

"Right here, on my optic"
Granted I don't live where it rains (South West), but my Trijicon RMR has gone strong for 10 years of duty and CCW carry... and roughly around 100k rounds through it by being mounted on different guns. I still think the RMR is the gold standard. I wish Trijicon upped their game and released some dots with more updated features, but I'm still happy with the simplicity and reliability of a RMR. I was eyeing the ACRO simply because it's supposed to be the "latest and greatest", but I'm glad I came across this information. Saved me some good amount of $$$.
I've been using an OG RMR06 w/Battlewerxs sealing plate on my G19.4 since 2014. Still works BAU.
Trijicon had the RCR and RMR HD.

I had one of the early p2s, only red dot I’ve ever had that experienced a catastrophic failure (emitter popped out of the housing and the dot was offset by several feet at 7 yards)
The replacement has held up so far, probably 5k rounds at this point but I don’t keep great track.
One thing that is pretty nice about acro is night vision usage, which doesn’t matter for most folks. But the glass is very clear and the brightness settings are nice.
People just want validations for their purchases...
“Enclosed emitter with largest window you can find”
What?! It’s literally a smaller window than micro dots 😂
It’s like one of the smallest windows of any dot out there.
Acro P2 - 16mm x 16mm = 256
Steiner MPS - 21mm x 16mm = 336
Holosun EPS 22.8mm x 16mm = 365
TriJicon RCR - 22.4mm x 16.3mm = 365
I carried the Beretta for 28 of my 32 years, primarily as an MP in the Marine Corps and Security Forces/CATM/Raven in the Air Force. I maintained a SF Armory both CONUS and Iraq. @HWG-wm8ld most of the people that have actually extensively tested them have found the Acro P2 and the RCR are failing more (mostly the seal failing) than the Holosun EPS and EPS carry. The Holosuns are the only micro-optic Barrel&Hatchet haven't had fail.

Beretta problems were only because the military decided to use way overpressured ammo in the beginning. Not unlike the adoption of the m16 when they disregarded the manufacturer to save money and had the ammo making the guns malfunction. Except in the case of the m16 the ammo decision caused people to lose their life
The navy had issues with the 226 due to that ammo as well.
Agreed. Battery life is far short of advertised as well. We have seen inconsistent results at best with hundreds of units.
What environment, what batteries and how long did they last at x brightness level?
It'd be nice to have some rough data on the Acro p2s and the CR1225.
I gotta use my acros more, in FL weather mine have not failed, will put them to the test soon next to the rcr

Thanks for the reply. 3-5% of dots croak early on. Maybe you're already safe or maybe after 3k? Hard to say.
Your rich friend will be moving to Trijicons anyway considering the RCR and RMR HD are more expensive than ACROs now.
Acro is premium when you’re passive shooting w/NODs.. not as much parallax shift as rmr/sro/503g etc
And you shoot with nods for fun?
@@Rubeless I do.. you don’t?
Let the controversy begin
How long does the battery last? How long in the cold?
I’ve had zero issues with my Leupold DPPs or my Holosuns. Truth be told, if I was gonna spend Acro money I’d just buy a that new trijicon hotness.

If only the rest of the optic would outlast the battery. One of mine failed somewhere between 3000 and 5000 rounds of normal use.
Mines holding up well, but enclosed emitters seem to be a total guessing game
So my understanding from a friend that is an aimpoint dealer is that there was 1 really bad batch of ACROs that had issues, especially with the glass coming loose or not staying sealed and allowing the moisture issues.
I’ve had nothing but good experiences with my ACROs, but I’m not emotionally attached to my pistol optic.
I went with it because I saw tons of people talking about issues with their 509T that kept having moisture issues, even the replacement they were sent by Holosun.
How long do you have them, what kind of acros and what round count?
I have, and use, three P2’s and one P1. No failures. Had two MPS’s and they both broke. 🤷🏻♂️
How did they break and what round count?
I have 2 Acro P2. I recently sent one away because of the “grease” leaking down on the inside glass which you obviously can’t wipe off and it obscures your view. I still like the Acro very much but I think I will go with the SRO on an XC I have coming. That being said the Acro is a great dot for me so I would recommend them with a caution. Thank you

I own a acro p2 and a eps my suggestion get the eps for half the price.
I bought a Steiner MPS over the ACRO P2 with prejudice. I think the ACRO is genuinely propped up solely by "Gucci" culture.

I wanted a gun with an optic that will work 100% of the time.
I chose the Glock 19, and the acro p2.
Glock because well... it's a Glock
And the acro because of my experience in the military with aimpoint (comp m2, comp m4 and m5).

I remember making a comment asking why he's being so emotional about the SRO and he replied by saying the military trained emotion out of him, but he wouldn't stop being emotional about why I have 507 comps on my guns.
He was probably a pog and was a shitbag. The guys that have to tell you have insecurities for sure.
Did you notice a difference in speed or target acquisition when using the Acro compared to other red dots?
RMR mounted atop my SDO (and every IAR) during my time in the Corps took a proper beating. Their glass was umm….not great condition…but they still functioned strong; no issues
The glass was rough and whooped from abuse over the years. Not inherently bad glass quality otherwise. Just from taking beating(s)
Thanks for the info, I'm wanting to pick up an Archon Type B Gen 2 and trying decide on which red dot slide cut I want. Acro P2 vs RMR. All the stuff I was reading and reviews I was watching had me leaning RMR cut.
What is premium then?
Def agree. Its fact if the product is breaking and being back more than any other pistol rds right now.
Exactly. Same with the p320, staccato, etc etc
Ben gotta ask,
Are slow motion reps still valuable?
It's a smaller T2 and has the same benefits and risks associated with the T2.
it has nothing to do with a t2.
Acro seems to be for those priorize enclosed emitter
TBH I run the Steiner MPS and I think it’s way better. I have both the acro.p2. I bought it cause it was the hot thing on the interwebs. But using both I def prefer the Steiner. Cheaper too and smaller foot print. Although the acro does look real good on a Glock slide. Aesthetically it fits the profile of the slide. It’s hard to deny the fashion involved in the gun world.
steiner is amazing only issue with it is the non existent shakeawake
and yeah the acro looks great on glocks I assume thats one of the reason the hype is so great on those optics and while trying to meet demand aimpoint is neglecting their QC at least thats my head canon

Imagine telling Ben Stoeger what dot he should have gotten lol

Thanks for taking the time to reply.
What is the premium pistol dot?
Steiner
My agency tested 3 of them and broke all 3. But I think they broke everything at least 2/3 for everything tested, except the Sig military enclosed optic.
They only fit on the M17/M18. The romeo x enclosed is lower, wider and lighter so they use a 1632 instead of a 2032. Battery cap might be an issue losing the 'top hat'.
Videos like these help us poors from buying not-so-good stuff with our meager budgets. Thanks Ben!
