This is a coincidence. Just yesterday I was catching crappie in the rain using 4 lb. Line. While reeling in an 11 incher, a largemouth ate it. I actually landed it 7.2 lbs. Nice fish for western N.Y.
Hi Ty My name is Glenn and I ‘ve been always following and enjoy your vids… I just have to say that you got it Brother and it always surprises me when you catch fish with a very light rig, It’s all you brother… As always awesome video brother… Thank you…🙏🙏🙏
Very nice Ty the county is locking up most of the ponds in the area. I just found a new one and same thing but the guy locking it up told me a back way to get in.
White crappie jigs with white grub worms with procure trophy bass are a good setup I've used to catch nice smallies in the summer. Also, gold plated Panter martin spinner. These are my go-to 😊
I once hooked a 4-4.5lb bass on 4lb line. It was my PB at the time. It was on an ultralight ugly stik on a 1/32 oz beetle spin while targeting big bluegill in a small pond. The next day I caught a 5 pounder on 12lb line on a Texas rig, which to this day is my PB
2:02 that’s some good eaten right there…. I love camping out in my singers backyard her house overlooks a beautiful lake here in New Jersey. I bring my boat up. We play music all afternoon in the backyard and I’m out late at night and early in the morning ripping fish at the lake nothing better than coming home with my limit of crappie and fire them up. Awesome bass too by the way.
Outstanding on the light tackle! Correct me if I’m wrong but the TX state record was caught by a guy crappie fishing on lake fork too right? Monsters will eat the tiny baits 👊🏽
Hey Ty, got a question. When you walk out on those pipes and such doesn’t your footsteps / vibration spook them? Or are they too big and bad to be fearful?
I take it easier on the like metal round pipes, i think that transfers alot of noise. the concrete, I honestly dont know, The crappie dont seem to mind, but the big smart bass probably do. I always try to fish the sides from the bank first, then walk out to fish the opening. that being said I might not have done that this time!
So weird cuz all of mine have been 110+ top waters with 30-50 lb braid Just goes to show that it's genuinely what your confident throwing. No magic technique or bait, just throwing what you know how to throw.....kinda like woman.....throw that bait with some confidence and they'll eat it up 😂 tight lines ty
I've caught a 9 ft gator on a medium heavy Walmart rod with 20lb braid. 3-hour fight but I finally landed him. It's not about the line and the rod. It's about the drag and the pace
That's awesome! I catch you a fair amount of Bass on crappie jigs. I'd be about as worried about the hook bending out as I would be worried about the line to be honest. Nice job with that
I have a 2 acre pond that we've been raising since 1999. There's 3-4 10+ pounders in there that I can go catch anytime I want if I wanted to. I know one of them is 12 pounds. Loaded with bluegill that are constantly harvested to keep them from getting to big and harder for the bass to eat.
Big bass are caught on a splitshot 8 inches above a fly with trophy bass by procure. I got snagged on grass I gently popped rod tip a 5lb smallie hit my fly an splitshot and she broke my line. 😢

That’s a monster for this far North! Nice fish!
@robmangeri777 thanks bud.
That's a monster for our neck of the woods! Plenty of nice smallies on Ontario and Erie though.
@gp205 yup. I live 5 minutes from the upper Niagara. Tons of huge smallies. Take care. Go Bill's!
💜🎣
Awesome! Love fishing drains like that! Tight Lines 🐟🐟🐟

Very nice Ty the county is locking up most of the ponds in the area. I just found a new one and same thing but the guy locking it up told me a back way to get in.
We got kicked off a few days ago too. sucks. hope your spots are producing! did you fish the recent rain?
@@TyPigPatrol No we had a couple of doctors appointments. Company came in from out of town also
Great job being patient with big ole bass on 4lb.

Wellington lake in Wellington florida. Year was 2003.

@TyPigPatrol I let her go as soon as I landed her. And she didn't put up a huge fight. Thought I snagged a snapping turtle lol.
What a beast!

Thanks brother!
Was that around 10? I’ve never seen one that big in person! Great catch!
In the spring when full of eggs yes! In this video no!

Just never can see how big the fish is bc you hold it so close to the camera. It could be a 10+ and you still hold it so close.
Fr
That's a friggin tank man
Most of my big fish have been caught on light lines and small baits. Awesome Video!!!
Crazy how that happens. Ive lost way too many big bass on those small baits!
So weird cuz all of mine have been 110+ top waters with 30-50 lb braid

Thanks man, i just always lose them on the jump, Lately ive been catching more by fighting them on tighter drag than I used to.
Hey buddy and hey to your friend
Theres Randle! Hope you are doing well my friend!
I’m moving to the Houston Area. I need to collab with you!

Might of been a 4lb line class record fish
Not sure, im sure someone has caught one bigger but the question is, did they certify it? probably not.
2:16 Careful with those croc’s in the water lol
I was just wondering why I hadn’t seen you in a while and I checked your channel….. I wasn’t subbed! You know I been here for a long time.

Whats up ty
Thanks for groovin!
Not gonna lie i fish with a light rod a 4 pound line and the big ones always gulp and drop down. The smaller ones ALWAYS thump in my experience 💯🤙🤙
Wow. 4LB
Thanks Divan!
The head on that bass was more like a 7 pounder.. probably a older fish in decline.. But one heck of a fight on 4lb line..
You did it again?!
haha thanks mate!
Giant
Thanks CoCam!
It has been a dream of mine to fish in Texas and you and this fish are one of the reasons why I love your content 🔥video
Fish go pale in muddy water especially perch family then change dark again once it clears especially around autumn. In uk .
Don't no why !
And on 4 lb line : )
Thanks brother!
That bass was leftover from the "Dracula" Bass on Halloween!! That's why he was so pale and white. Did he have any fangs? LOL!! Dig, DmGrk
haha wasnt he crazy light? kinda cool! Thanks for watching greek!
The bass had shoulders 😂
Bro what state do you live in cuz I want to fish there
I was winding in a Bluegill & a 12 Lbs Bass Ate it😅
geez one minute
Thanks for watching!!
@TyPigPatrol love yah man
👍🏻
One of the best crappy baits here down south is a white Beetle spin with a red dot.
I was looking through the vid looking for the big Fish, guess im used bigger fish as a pike fisherman
You have more nerve than I have lowest i would go is 8lb line
haha youre probably the smarter one!
Your killing me, get a scale please😂😂
Thanks Cade!

So pale, looks like a zombie bass😂❤
