This movie is by far the greatest dragonball production they have put out. The movie starts so amazing with the history, re-writing some parts and re-establishing the nature of the Saiyans. Then it builds up slowly but with intensity into the most epic combat scenes. The way they built it up through every transformation and with the music is just phenomenal.
To be fair, Angels in Dragon Ball literally are not allowed to intervene in mortal affairs. Even when Broly directly attacked Whis just before Gogeta arrived, he was simply evading and redirecting Broly's attacks.
This movie really showed how strong Goku and Vegeta are together. In old broly movie they barely beat him, here they just simply kick his ass as Gogeta :D

Broly is essentially an infant when it comes to fighting and that's seriously scary considering it took a fusion with a powered up form on top to best him i can't wait for him to start training to perfect his potential and to see his future story i'd also love if he fuses with Goku at some point i want to see how that turns out especially with UI and his Legendary form combined

With the way things are going it's more likely that Vegeta gets to be god of destruction and Goku gets to be "his angel" - granted that will never happen because Angels are born angels, and Goku isn't. It's more likely that something like Jiren and Toppo will happen, where Jiren was stronger regardless even when Toppo become a god. Probably Vegeta will become a God of destruction but Goku won't follow the "divine path" anymore and just be content in improving.
This is where you gotta turn up the suspension of disbelief. Realistically, any and all of their serious battles after Namek should've been utterly devastating to the earth. The first time I had trouble suspending my disbelief with Dragon Ball was when Dr Gero built a robot that could beat a Super Saiyan. Even as a kid I thought that was just careless writing.

I like to think of how fate stepped in, if it wasn't for broly's friends being who they were and taking compassion on broly they wouldn't have risked their lives to betray Frieza and save broly at the very last second. Gogeta entered an improvised creative mode during this fight and came up with impressive effective techniques, with each powerful blow gogeta gleamed more ways to take his techniques further, like "that last punch I hit... There's something there... I'll try that again but I'll do it differently like this instead..."

Extremely dumb question. Ofc Super Broly is far more powerful than Z Broly. Z Broly was about onpar or under SS2 level. I think Perfect Cell could have legit beat him. SS3 and Ultimate Gohan would have definitely wiped the floor with that Broly. Dude was most certainly not above SS2/SS3 level.
Still impress that battle inexperienced Broly can stand up to Gogeta a warrior with the combine power and a lifetime of battle experience of 2 greatest saiyains ever.

Oh my god, it looks so tragic. The animation style, the characters, the fight choreography are downright embarrassing. It's a huge drop compared to the Broly movie from DBZ. It's hard to watch this garbage.
It was good tbf but the only complaint I have is that it's too fucking fast, sometimes, you barely even understand what's going on. I get that it's supposed to portray the speed they're going at it, but it still takes away from the animation.
