The Atlantic is going on fire!. 24 May 1941. A two ships German battle group attempts to break off onto Atlantic on its mission to raid Allied merchant convoys. The Royal Navy decided to send a group of warships to blockade that two ships German mission to protect the convoys.

Bismarck, the most overhyped ship in the world. The one ship to have pretty much everything go right up until she fired her fourth salvo of the war. She gets shadowed by a pair of royal navy heavy cruisers who lose contact in a fog bank, one of the heavy cruisers proceeded to close in and just as it exited the smoke would be fired upon by the German ship. Whilst the cruiser makes it away undamaged this one event would lead to the single greatest loss of life in the history of the royal navy. Due to the Bismarck destroying her own radar with the first salvo fired at the heavy cruiser the Prinz Eugen escorting her would take the lead position of the formation and due to the confirmation the event gave regarding the Royal Navy now knowing where they are, the two ships would pick up speed. Upon the fateful meeting at the Denmark strait between the Bismarck and Prinz Eugen engaging the Hood and Prince of Wales, the British ships would find themselves out of position and would try to rectify this, Prince Of Wales would strike the Bismarck early into the battle causing an oil leak whilst Prinz Eugen would strike Hood starting a fire on the port side four inch gun mounts, Hoods guns would initially fire upon Prinz Eugen, unaware at the time of the German formation change. Soon both British ships would be firing upon the Bismarck who remained silent for a while until the gunnery officer ordered the ship to fire after indecision from the captain. 3 salvos later on her fateful fourth salvo, she would have a lone shell fly outside the usual grouping and score her first hit on a naval target, destroying the stern magazines and in turn the entirety of the Battlecruiser Hood and killing all but 3 of her crew. Prince of Wales would continue to fight but her guns were still going through trials and were knocking themselves out of action as well as the fire from both German ships getting ever closer if not hitting her. At the time there were I believe up to 400 civilian personnel on board the Prince of Wales to help with the guns but eventually they had to pull away for repairs, the cruisers shadowing Bismarck would continue whilst the rest of the Royal Navy wanted blood, the first ships called to join the hunt following Hoods loss were the Revenge class battleships, their names showing exactly what the British wanted. The aircraft carriers Victorious and later Ark Royal would both launch strikes upon Bismarck with only the Ark Royals succeeding due to the torpedo arming systems. The Prince of Wales would also rejoin the fight every now and then to keep Bismarck's crew on their toes and more importantly awake and the same would be done by a destroyer squadron, one looking after a very angry Polish ship by the name of the Piorun whom closed within 50 metres of the Bismarck firing everything on board and blaring music whilst repeatedly sending the message I am a Pol and singing the Polish national anthem. And then finally she would be caught by the battleships King George V and Rodney who would finally sink her, Rodney scoring the only battleship on battleship torpedo hit in history as well as having been the one to destroy all of Bismarcks fire control within 40 minutes of the battle, later on both shadowing heavy cruisers would join with their 8 inch guns and torpedoes and would hit the Bismarck with more torpedoes ultimately ending the ship. And that is the story all be it heavily shortened of the Bismarck. Overhyped as she may be she did have a hell of a couple days of sailing.

Prinz Eugen survived the war pretty unscaved. She was later captured by the U.S. and later used in the Nuclear Tests at Bikini Atoll.
She ate both bombs like a champion and sunk 3 months later for the damage reported when her structure finally gave up.

Есть маленькая ошибочка когда крейсер худ переломился пополам от взрыва Как матросы открыли огонь. Орудий главного калибра там всего три человека выжили и крейсер худ довольно быстро пошёл под воду к тому же матросы на борту должны были скатываться вниз поскольку он тонул с двух сторон то есть ну когда он подорвался а матросы должны были из-за того что ну он так поднимался когда тонул скатываться были должны и на ногах стоять или сидеть у них бы не получилось
