I could watch them talk all day, they could have a 2 hour long conversation about peanut butter and jelly and I would still be interested. I saw Within Tempation for the first time in Chicago opening for Iron Maiden and they were incredible!

Besides what they said, in greek mithology, hydra represents one's dark side, their inner demons, their flaws. That's why the hydra lives in a cave, in the darkness, and one of the few ways one can defeat it is by bringing the hydra into the light - the same way one can only defeat their inner demons by actually dealing with them, bringing them into the light. The fun thing is that many Hydra songs (and songs from other WT albums, also) fit nicely into that concept. It's a really good title for the album and for the band itself.
