    It's has been a few decades since this happened before... Parked on a hill and running, it finally died on a not full tank. Got air in lines no doubt.

    Forgive my lack of knowledge but why not just start at the furthest point at the injectors?

      If the air is trapped way back by the filter or pump, it can take a long time and a lot of cranking to push that air all the way down the line until it clears out through the injectors! But you can do it that way

    I did not run MY DIESEL out of fuel I had to remove to FUEL TAKE to clean it out then it did not want to start after that

      Sounds like you ran it out of fuel
