The German phrase "Schickimicki" is hilarious! Even my Mom says it and she doesn't speak a word of German. Definitely mein Lieblingssatz!! Vielen Dank, Cari and the Easy German Team!!
Hi your films are great ! i lived in germany back in the 80s and could speak german well enough ......i live in belguim now and come to Koln often .....lately i have been watching your videos and my german is coming back in order many many thanks and keep up your good work please al
I've been binging on this "Easy German" series for the past few days and I'm surprised at how much my German comprehension improved in such little time! Thank you so so much for this. It is very helpful. Now I can understand more of what my German professor is saying, which is really cool :P
Myself and a few friends were just in düsseldorf recently, also Berlin last year. I'm always looking out for places I've been! We must've just missed you guys here! Would have loved to have bumped into you on the streets! Been watching easy german for a while now! Thanks.
I agree with Peter... we need to see more of Klaus! The Emsland episode was so fun to watch. I love your videos! Thanks for putting a lot of effort into helping others learn.
Cari, you are so delightful. Easy German, beyond helping anyone learn German, is outrageously entertaining. I'm sure that everything that Peter said about Klaus is true, but what he said about him I would apply to Manuel. He doesn't show up in your videos enough. He would be great doing a Cologne episode and have it based somehow on the German television actors there.
What? I like her she's actually one of my favorites. Also her jokes are not terrible and they are technically educational. It gives you some insight on their types of humor, and HEY new vocabulary that you'll probably remember because it's funny.
I really appreciate this video, it has come at a good time for me as I am flying into Dusseldorf in exactly a months time and I will probably be going shopping there on my first day :).
I love these videos. I am trying to learn German, so I have the books and the audio stuff, but these videos really help to see how real Germans sound. Also helps to hear and mimic actual speakers. Hey could some one help be my tutor? like I mentioned I read and listen to German but the biggest thing missing is speaking it. Can anyone help? Serious people please. Great videos
I feel like sometimes the text shows words that were not actually said like in the second 0:16 (verschaffen "wir" uns mal einen überblick über die Stadt) I really cant't hear the "wir" or in the second 1:02 (soll ich dir "nicht" mal Düsseldorf zeigen) I don't hear the "nicht", I am not complaining but I would like to know if she really skipped it or it is blended with the other words or I am really bad at hearing, I'd like to know what the others think. Nonetheless I really appreciate all the work made by easylanguages, thank you.
Easy German has helped me a lot. but I think if you people could speak just a bit slower that would help us, foreign learners, We would perceive and understand some pronunciation details that we cannot grasp when you guys speak fast. Danke!
I think of producing one episode where I would ask people to answer our question deliberately slowly and distinctly :D I even did one video where Lisa and Pia were talking very, very slowly. And hardly every anybody would like it really. Recently I've been to England and there I had to call our receptionist because our fire alarm was constantly going on. I had to ask her to speak slowly and distinctly to me. She did change her speech and I had no problems at all to understand her. But if I had the possibility to train my language skills on a real life situation I would not need to ask for any help. And so I hope that people watching our videos will get better in understanding the real language you hear in Germany.
I'm trying to understand this sentence: "Also gibt's niemanden, der sich wirklich nicht ausstehen kann". The subtitle translation is "So there's nobody that you really can't stand" but that doesn't give much insight into the German version which has no "you". Could I translate it more closely as "So there's nobody who (der) can't stand (ausstehen kann) each other (sich)"?
She understood that dialect phrase (jut drupp). It makes me wonder, do you speak auf Hochdeutsch for these videos but you speak with a dialect with your friends?
never miss a single episode and now i can understand 70% of the conversations without looking at the subtitles! thank you Easy German!
Sansan Win Did you just watch and follow the subtitles? Or did you pause and study every phrase thoroughly?
Take each episode as a class. That s the way to learn fast.
Faster
This grandpa who says we ask ourselves why do Koln exist, has a very good sense of humour! Respect to this positive man!
The German phrase "Schickimicki" is hilarious! Even my Mom says it and she doesn't speak a word of German. Definitely mein Lieblingssatz!! Vielen Dank, Cari and the Easy German Team!!

Thanks Archaskal! We'keep it going, promised :)
Oh and the next episode, to be aired this upcoming Sunday is hosted by Manuel, so stay tuned :)
What? I like her she's actually one of my favorites. Also her jokes are not terrible and they are technically educational. It gives you some insight on their types of humor, and HEY new vocabulary that you'll probably remember because it's funny.
Thanks Alexandra :)

What a weird last scene kkk
Düsseldorf is so not a fancy city.
Du spriechst bischen zu schnell fur beginners, leider. Sonst ist alles ok.
Yes, much too fast for beginners or early learners. Even those who have some years experience with the language would find it a challenge.
Change the speed of the video !!!!
You speak a bit too fast in this video. I had to stop once and again to understand what you all were saying. Please, speak slower next time.
