Ahoy all, we're aware of a couple of errors in this one: Recaro seats are optional, 120km/h is achieved in second gear rather than first, and the colour is Orange Fury rather than Grabber Orange (thanks @espaudio). Cheers! - Mike Stevens

You mentioned you were in race mode. You were in sport mode with the exhaust in race mode. If you had the drive mode in race, driving aids would be off. Scary thought. Enjoyed the review though. Well done for getting an external exhaust note. Sounds a bit like a Shelby, maybe better. For a car that’s so out there, it seems quite refined and understated. Bit of a purist or drivers car.
No whine, no pop and bangs when switching gears. He said the mic was right on top of the muffler but to me it sounded like your typical 5 litre. But what got me was 1st gear got you to 120kms. PWOAHHH! Now that's absolutely craZy!
you should only do that if its not your car...

Wow we don’t get this here. Certainly we have many options for aftermarket supercharger kits but this is glorious looking. This would do well here because our factory blown mustang is the GT 500 and it’s only available with a DCT sadly

Track days, drag strips, skid pans and unobserved back roads... all those things are available if you know where to go. Also there’s plenty of 115km roads.

The same size tyres as the NA GT - which wheel spins - the extra 250hp would provide too much wheel spin - needs 335rear tyres but can only fit 315.

The 2020 Shelby GT500 does 00-100km/h in 3.2 seconds and does the 1/4 in 10.5 and 10.6 seconds with trap speeds over 210km/h. It has 760HP and a dual clutch transmission by Tremec.

2020 and Ford is still using a prop rod on the bonnet, yet my 1988 Toyota comes with factory gas struts...

500 made for aussies? They need to make you guys some more EcoBoost versions so you guys can swap Barras in them. The T4 EcoBoost 6-speed transmission can handle a Berra if It can handle a 2J.

R Spec and no Strutt Tower Braces?? Lol. Bet they are didnt do the anti roll bars. (Ok my bad) This is more like drag spec, not race spec. No circuit cars are automatic. Also given this is a 2 star crash rating car, they should have really made it a complete underbody brace from chromoly. Would feel stiffer and safer with this in place
Standard USA car, big power but falling apart. Check the carpet in the boot or trunk for the yanks. sagging and already come away.

The gearing on this car is too long. Just like all porsches it ruins the fun. Put 411 gears and it will feel like you have 1000hp
Yet i will be saving my money for a C8 Corvette when they hit in RHD. :)

Great car but all I saw was frustration... get a light handler with low power and have way more fun - so old :)

There's something also called a gearbox and its ratios. This is a drag car only. Its shit. How can you call it R Spec and not stiffen the chassis ie braces or sway bars.
Also just because BMW say 50/50 is best doesn't make it true! You want more weight over the driven wheels
I don’t think they’re marketed at people who want to race flogs in flashed autos.
The 2020 Shelby GT500 has a dual clutch transmission which helps it achieve 10.5s and 10.6s in the 1/4 mile. Transmission does make a difference.
