  • In this episode of DtC Tom travels back in time to investigate a pair of daggers that may not be what they seem. Guest starring The Wreath I Got From Upstairs and Stuffy Squirrel.
I'd like to thank each and every one of you who take the time to watch DtC, and am very grateful to everyone who takes more time out of their day to comment. In a perfect world there would be endless time for either Tom or Ob to engage with everyone, but alas the world is far from perfect.
    FAQ & A
Q: I have a burning question about something in the video! What should I do?!
A: An email sent directly to Tom is the best way to get your question answered, because while he most definitely reads each and every one of your comments, he hasn't quite gotten the hang of replying to them in the comment section, and is not likely to in the foreseeable future. Or ever.
You can also call him if you prefer (856-866-8733) between the hours of 9 AM and 4 PM, EST. This may be slightly more difficult because he's forever running around away from his desk, but it's worth a shot.
Q: I have a amusing anecdote, scathing criticism, or heartfelt compliment that I deeply need to express and I require / demand / long for a personalized response! What should I do?!
    A: See "A" above.
    Tom's email is: herrwittmann@gmail.com

What he doesn't like his middle name Felix? Embrace it! That is my first name and I carry it with honour! I was named after my great-grandmother's brother Felix Z, who left Germany well before WW2 and married a Swiss lady, he settled down in Basel. My middle name is Engelbert, named after my dad, (not Humperdinck) , and my dad was named after my great uncle, another Engelbert, who died in WW2 (Luftwaffe Field Division unit) during army group north's retreat from Leningrad. He was shot in the neck while on patrol outside a German held munitions depot, 9 days before his 21st birthday. My grandma always had a picture of him on her nightstand. They are not forgotten! Thank you for sharing your stories and these great collector items. Wishing you and your family choicest blessings this Christmas and in the New Year! Frohe Weihnachten, Felix from Canada

A small note from a German Person. When in german words or names a ,ch' appears, for example Reich, this is not spoken ,k'. The ,ch' sound is the noise, an angry Cat makes, but slower and softer.

I'd like to say thank you for all your content ? However I really do miss the Wittman story's ? I am very well aware that some viewers don't like them but they can always forward the video ? But for some of us we are very fortunate to still have you here and all the stories albeit extreme hardship or unbelievable amazing things with the most amazing almost unbelievable connections with history in the making ? And you Mr Wittman have managed not only to bring your joy to us but you somehow managed to stay a really nice & kind man albeit a little bit tropical ? I loved every single story and I looked forward to them ? Even the walk through your garden & your wife's crazy handbag ornaments and all the Christmas trees ??? So please please can you at least put a story in every second video ??? Afterall you are an extremely interesting caricature & I imagine that in a perfect world I would have loved to experience some of the things you have shared with your family ?
So again thanks for all the content and I would like to hear from your sons experience on your adventures ? He seems very knowledgeable and I'm sure I'm not the only one who would enjoy a story or two ?
Many blessings to you and thank you wholeheartedly
    Peace James

WW2 German military it's an investment 100% ,I remember back in the guns shows in the 1980s you could buy a nice Luger or German daggers in the lows hundreds today it's in the thousands of dollars and every year they just keep going up, the only thing is there's lots of fakes out there so you have to buy from someone like Tom you know your getting the real deal your not going to get scammed.

If its worth unwrapping then it's worth a bit of time. The tunics and documents were not given enough time in my view. Variety is a great quality of this channel but please give each object equal detail. We can see hundreds of daggers here but tunics are a rarer treat.
