Awesome video! I'd love if you'd be able to do production remakes of any of these :-) Dua Lipa - Cool Loote - Tomorrow Tonight Carly Rae Jepsen - Run Away With Me Jeremy Zucker - always, i'll care Billie Eilish - My Future NIKI - Selene Jacob Collier, Daniel Caesar - Time Alone W U Hope you get to do one of these!! Haha
I love these "Producer Breakdown" videos by guys like you with great chops. Thanks a million for taking time to share. This one is fantastic... I learned some REALLY cool new tricks watching this. The white noise sweep is a big one!!! Not sure if you collab on projects but would love to discuss some of the stuff we're doing and see if you might play a role.
just want to say thank you for that vid and all the information. In terms of production this song is a masterpiece and you done so well apart that you dont have dua´s voice but i wish i had your experience, quickly picking the right synths and samples :D you are so chill and everything straight to the point. Did you ever lose some work or a track you made yourself bc you didnt save it and the programm crashed or something? I wonder what kind of stuff happens over the years to producers :D
Yes, I absolutely have lost a track to crashes, hard drive failures, silly stuff like accidentally recording a track too loud and it irreparably distorts. It's easy to get really discouraged when stuff like that happens, but you just gotta move on to the next thing.
The bass and guitars in the song have each note individually chopped up and pasted along the grid, very cool. I have the original pre mix pro tools session of this song.
@@simona9217 yadi.sk/d/rawYg4KqP9Cn_w?w=1 To open the pro tools session you'll need all 3 rar files downloaded (they contain all the audio files for the session). Enjoy!!!!
I know this video came out a while ago, but your voice is genuinely quite good. The autotune definitely helped haha but it was a decent performance when it was within your range!
Hey man, this is a great video. Question: could this be achievable in Pro Tools, or is there some special functionality to Ableton than makes it a better tool? Question #2: you programmed the drums really quickly. Did you have a pre-existing midi pattern, or did you program them from scratch as you have demonstrated in some of your other videos? Thanks
Great question! Yes, this is absolutely doable in Pro Tools. For whatever reason, I tend to use Ableton for more EDM/Pop-leaning tracks, and Pro Tools for rock and metal (with the exception being that I do _all_ my vocal tracking and editing in Pro Tools. It's more just a comfort/workflow thing than anything, and there's nothing really exclusive to either in terms of what they can really do, just in what I'm used to.
Are you using the same string library? Make sure the articulation is definitely set to Portamento. Then, when moving from one note to another, try to "overlap" your notes a bit, sort of messily moving from one note to the next.
notes on point but your guitar sounds lack quality?... better to use a VST than a real guitar and show the NOTES for guitar pluck and chords too... i want to learn how to create this guitar pluck and chord sounds with VST because i dont understand or like guitar.
What song do you wanna see me remake next? Any questions about music production? Leave them here and I'll get back to you!
If you could do justice- we are your friends that would be awesome. You are seriously like Bob Ross to me. Thanks for putting up your hard work

Dude this is a great video, but what's going on with the clipping? Sounds like you're clipping OBS or something, I thought my speakers were blown lol

hey i keep trying the portamento trick to get the string glide but it doesnt ever do it.. is there something im missing?

@@longestsoloever yup.. i realized it was actually just that i wasn't overlapping the notes! rookie mistake..
How is it possible to be this good? Love it :) How long have you been producing?
Haha thank you. I've been producing for 17 years. Professionally for the last 10.

Absolutely.
5 months & no new video XD
why is this clipping as fuck?

The producer of this song doesn't use midi instruments. Andrew watt is his name.
