I told you! My favorite Prof song. Ever. Hands down. It's why i get mad when people call Prof a parody rapper. No. Just because he's hilarious doesn't make him a one trick pony.
Can’t agree with you that this is his best song (awesome yes), but totally agree with you about the parody rap thing. I swear it’s like some people have a human with a sense of humor?
Yep, you were right on the money. It's definitely top 3 for me I've heard so far. And no, he's so much more than that.
Been listening him for many years it’s awesome seeing everyone starting to listen to an artist you like no one knew about blows my mind. His old record labels bet they should of never let him go 😂
All of this footage was shot in Minnesota during the summer of 2020.. after George Floyd died here.. there was crazy riots and fires and looting and our state was in chaos. It was all happening right in Prof's neighborhood in Minneapolis.. he experienced it all first hand. The fires were right next to his house. It had a deep affect on him (as you can see from this song). His talent and passion are evident here... people truly underestimate him - their loss!!
Flower Boy, Tough Boy, Whiskey, he's multi faceted. And his shows are some of the best!❤
Prof lived on the block with that police station that was burned down. At one point, fires came so close they melted the sides of the home next door to his. He's talked about sitting out in his yard with a gun at night during the unrest and riots. So many traumatic things beyond this turmoil happened in his life and career in 2020. It's good to see him having so much success and happiness now. Prof has multiple series of live performances that are stellar (Live from Powderhorn Suites, Live from the Gallery, Live and in Color)
Makes me really curious about the Prof/Ren collaboration coming out this month! Can't wait ❤
Same, I still don't know how that's about to go and work at all lol but I'm here to find out!
Gonna be 🔥
it was meh.
the energy and intent of the whole package brings me to tears... a masterpiece for sure, he's such a great artist. His "Tombstones" is close to this level but not quite.
This all went down in his neighborhood. This footage is from where he lives.
Thanks for taking the time to do a reaction video to this! We love reaction videos to our music. Let me know where you're from and if we are coming on tour near you, love to hit you up with a couple of guest list spots.
Hey I already messaged you on FB but man that's so kind and so cool of you. I'm here to stay for the Prof journey so we have more coming! Hope you check out and like my reacts to Squad Goals and Horse as well!
Amen brother! This song cut me to the bone and brought me to tears. And I am from Melbourne, Australia… a world away from the troubles in Minneapolis - but Prof’s emotion, his raw artistry made me feel. Helped me to understand. This is the same dude that raps “fine dine the hymen” in Horse!?!! Talented individual. A certified real MFer. And dude, you didn’t let us down - your goosebumps gave me goosebumps all over again. Thank you!
I do what I can man, and I'm glad you and everyone else seems to be feeling this one right along with me. We appreciate the love and support no matter where you are!
Prof is 100% my kinda silly… but when he gets in his serious bag… it’s whole other thing. You should check out some more of his stuff where he gets personal. Tough boy is amazing- tombstones…. And I’ve never made it through flower boy without tearing up. 💜💜💜
Now do the Live version PLEASE!!😮😮
Seen him 2 times live and he is unreal. Best concerts I have ever been to.
Same way I felt when I heard this for the first time last year... Opened up a different side of
Prof for me. Then saw him live... Game changer. Why aren't more ppl talking about it?
No idea, sad you have to basically dig for good music yet trash is right in front of your face at all times. Shit is so ass backwards.
Music has always been the voice of the people, a way to be heard and we have some really amazing voices coming out between the talent and innovation. Music teaches and helps in so many ways. Whether its some ragey Chelsea Grin to vent some excess aggression or some nasty Ghostmane beats to vibe into or some of Profs shit that makes you unable to hold still or this... its how we cope and balance our emotions and feel connection to one another in a world intent on dividing.
These hybrid mfers like Prof, Ren, Childish Gambino, they are just raising that bar, people will catch on. Artists like this are going to help change things, I hope.
Music has legit saved me, informed me, shaped me. I love the way you love it ❤️🔥
Man, I’ve been trying to preach the gospel to you and everyone else, I’m glad you finally found them
Haha hey I've been on him on. Dude is stuck on my radar at this point.
I still tear up everyone I hear this song, it's one of the most beautiful songs ever written
And yes, i feel you. How are songs about booty holes and drugs and killing getting millions and Prof being overlooked? Love you dude!
Boy got some soul.
You have to check out "Myself". It's the first real like personal deep emotional song he put out. "Fire" would be first, but it's a bit more cheeky than Myself is
Love that you finally got to hear this and see the video
This is it. This gets it.
Tough Boy, Flowerboy, Whiskey, Be Around... Prof got levels
So many, I've learned that about him now.
his best song yet no close second. I love your face while you’re watching it, you can tell you have goosebumps lol
Thank you for checking this out! Please check his and Ren's song, Pain Salesman!
Damn dude. That’s a powerful song!
Hard hitting song ❤️❤️
I love some Prof.
It’s BOTH!
prof. is. prof.
LITERALLY
got a song with brother ali called daugher.... I think it touches on his step dad and his childhood home being burned down... great song as well.
Damn…. you cannot only hear it in his voice but, I can feel it.
It’s one am and I’m in Louisiana.
Going on my playlist.
Never forget.
Yeah, this hit me differently too. I still listen to this song in my head at times. Glad you felt the same way.
@@TheBlackSpeed without any doubt I absolutely do.
Thank you for introducing me to this artist.
Of course, and we have more Prof coming. Take a look at the other Prof videos on the channel. The man has range.
Yeah man!!! Was hoping you’d find this… bro ain’t just a vibe he’s real ass ppl… he signed my Guisseppes😎 do “cutthroat “
'Myself' is another worth havin a wee listen too
Oh we for sure got more Prof coming down the pipeline.
Check out gasoline -live
Prof is amazing in concert from what I’ve seen
I’m too old to probably go to one of his shows but I can bet they are a true ride!❤ total energy 💥
Dope reaction. I'm going to check out some more of you're reaction. Respect
Aye, that's what I like to hear. Hope you enjoy 'em. Feel free to leave me a comment to let me know which ones you saw.
Looking forward to the Prof feat. Ren drop. Thought it might be here by now..
Same, I'm more curious about it than anything else ha. Can't wait.
This was just shared in one of the main PROF groups. He very well may see this
Is it the Stophouse Squad group? If so, I just saw that and got a few tags in there. That was so dope to see! I hope he does too.
@@TheBlackSpeed that’s the spot! His whole crew is on there
That's pretty dope, they've been nice. I need to join the group at this point, especially since I'm going to keep reacting to him and spreadin' the good name.
still doing a great job sir, seen you follow through on the nf song as well..ty appreciated and looking forward to your journey with his others. you are alright man, keep introducing everyone to these artists that should def be heard more.. i missed this one as well, ty for sharing
I always do what I can, promise you that. Glad you're sticking around and been enjoying this journey with me. Really appreciate the kind words.
payday gets me hyped regularly,, hi priced shoes is another great 1i too don't know of a bad prof joint.
Jeezus, I was sobbing. What a powerful song. 💜
He good
Listen to treat you right, spellbound, tombstones, myself, Andre the giant
We have much more Prof to do, just so many artists to get to. We'll get to him!
Yea this track always gives me those goosebumps, the passion and harmony he carries through the song is perfectly pleasing to so real shit being said.......dude has layers ,my first track that got me tuned in was "rocketman" he's a youngin and it's just a shame he didn't get the light he deserved years ago,or maybe he did and was content with the success he got, cause you never hear in his music any bitterness, definitely my favorite track is Louisiana as well..... 🔥 Vid homie, always real one
Song was made because of the Minneapolis riots 😢
Minneapolis Minnesota and Colton is his videographer
Ohhh I like this ❤️🔥
If you liked this, I highly recommend you watch PROF's Live & In color version of Louisiana. Goosebumps from the album version are one thing, this is another level.

Yes, I also saw you asked for this on FB haha. That was cool of you. I got you as soon as I can. :)
I ran here so fast when I saw this notification ❤
Hahaha. I bet. I'm glad you came. :)
Shit dude...listen to Flower Boy Live from Powderhorne Suites next...for sure.
I may have to grab that one next. It was going to be that or Tombstones.
Maybe you done this already since I'm late to your channel but criminal would be great
I haven't yet, so I'll keep that in mind when I can!
🖤🤍
I've only watched the LIVE version of this and simply didn't understand it was meant to the death of George Floyd. With Prof's history of speaking and singing on his family history I assumed it was a story of how he imagined his family escaping SOMEWHERE, ANYWHERE even as far south as Louisianna...to get away from his father's abuse. Now watching this reaction I see where its coming from.
BTW you don't carry the accent of folks from "down south". We don't know...WHAT WE DON'T KNOW. ✌
Yeah, I was pretty entrenched in all that while it was going on so I understood it immediately. But it makes sense. And haha, no I don't. No one has ever thought I was from Mississippi as I don't carry an accent AT ALL. But tis my home!
Generation is cooked.
Very. It's a shame.
This video just git you a new subber bruh bruh...so check out that Flower Biy live PUHlease! You won't regret it. More sad/depressed Prof.
I'm glad I could earn ya sub! I appreciate you rockin' with it, and we have more to do. And yup, that one will come soon enough for sure. I can maybe do one or so more sad songs than I gotta do something happy/funny haha.
His Live & In Color version was possibly better.
Yeah I've been told that and I'm definitely going to check that out.
Can you explain it a bit 4 the Brits here? Why is he off to Louisiana ... specifically? As I reckon it as one of the most racist parts of the States. What am I missing?! Thx!
I'll be honest and say I don't know why he picked Louisiana specifically, but it may just have to do with the fact that he's tired of being in Minnesota, where these things are actively happening, and would rather flee as far away as possible and join in on the fight elsewhere and fight fire with fire, so-to-speak. Someone else may come in and read this and correct me, but that was at least my take on it. Being fed up with where he's at and wanting to go far away to fight and have it be all-or-nothing (hence him saying it'll be a one-way flight).
Check out Vulnerable God by him you won't be disappointed
