The name means “market at the mouth of the canal” because the area firstly started as a floating market in the 18th century. Later it was a fish market. And from 1950s it developed into the flower market. The vendors sell mostly local flowers. We can also buy imported flowers, traditional Thai flower decorations, accessories, fruits and vegetables.
