Omi Island (Omijima) is located in Yamaguchi Prefecture of Japan and is part of the Kita-Nagato Kaigan Quasi-National Park. The island has a circumference of approximately 40 kilometers and can be reached by a bridge from the city of Nagato. The rocks on Omijima Island have impressive shapes and are the result of erosion, with some of them reaching around 40 meters in height. There are also caves that can be seen from a tour boat. Thank you so much for such a nice comment! :) Yes, actually this place is located in the mountain area, but there are some ways to get there. The easiest way is by car: from Okayama City it's around 1,5h of driving. If using public transport: From Okayama Station by train (using JR Hakubi Line) to Bitchu-Takahashi Station around 50min by train and from there by public bus around 40 minutes to Fukiya Village. It's important to check timetable before, as buses are only few times per day. Have a nice day! :)
