Draem was to clean. Other guy transitions were horrible but that’s what sets jookin apart from other glide footwork styles.
thats cuz memphis dancing is organized and makes sense, it correlates to the rhythm and transitions of the song so the transitions look smooth with it

Camera man. From one to the other. One wide shot. Entire floor. Middle of room. No need for the fancy two shot angle when the dance floor is not arena size. Also we don't wanna see feet. We need to see the entire dance move. It could really be simple.

I know exactly what I am talking about. No one wants to see tight shots of feet in battles like this. Both dance cultures use their entire body.

bruh. this is a lazy comment. Jookin and Turfin are completely different. TFA doesn't look like anybody from Memphis. Both Jookin and Turfin were built from the ground up around different styles of hip hop music. They literally can't look the same. Every style of hip hop dance uses similar standard moves like gliding. Whats different is how the styles go about gliding, the way it looks and how much they use it.
If people were banned from using standard moves because of copying, nobody would be able to do anything.
Jookin and Turfin use tutting, but neither created tutting. Poppin and locking were doing it long before them. Do you see where i'm going with this.
