Yayyyyy! I was so happy to see a video from you today! I love your palette for spring, and you've given me some fun ideas to add to my collection (i am holding you responsible for my Roman Szmal purchases 😂). I love the idea of choosing 12 colors a t a time, i can see how you could get to know them better, and how it helps woth the decision paralysis which is my biggest problem. Have fun in Belgium, i hope you take your sketchbook!
Thanks Christine 😁 I did take my sketchbook to Belgium but I didn't use it at all, I was too busy 😂 I'm glad you enjoyed the video (and your Roman Szmal paints 😉)
Anything to reduce decision paralysis is good in my book!
I just found your channel and I'm loving it! The perfect mix of play and pigment nerding out, love it! And I love the pauses, the moments allow my brain to sink into what you're doing. 🤓🙌🏼
Ahhh thank you so much! That's exactly my aim, thank you so much for the lovely comment!
Love these colours ❤😊💖🌹🤗
Thanks Julie 😁😁
The nickle yellow is so interesting and create such fun mixes!
It does 😁 I was so surprised. I tried out some other mixes in my other video too!
If I’d seen this video sooner I’d wave from Belgium (live there)! I would love to set up and use seasonal palettes but I don’t have the stamina to paint frequently. I my dad last month and the entire time he was terminal I’ve spend way more energy on him than my reserves of energy were capable of (no regrets, so grateful for being able to have that quality time with him ❤ will never take that for granted with all my chronic illnesses and pain, however long my recovery will need to be still), so I think, hope, that after I’ve recuperated my depth on energy, my exhaustion levels will be somewhat manageable to paint frequently. I’ve bought those warm and cool special curated sets of Neocolor II’s last year, hope I’ll come around on finally using those in the next few months. I try to hold of on making seasonal palettes until them. I do have a portrait one and a nature ones (landscapes, greens and sea, not animals, it is lacking a bit for that to be called special or curated for animals, in my opinion) but again, still need to use those for that. Only have used those as props to use in a painting lol
This video was fun, love the colors and how well they go together
I'm so glad you enjoyed the video! Grief is so heavy and chronic illnesses are so unfair, I hope the next seasons for you are a little less draining. I hope you find little patches of energy here and there to just put some colours on paper and enjoy the process, I think it's really healing. I tend to just choose the colours for limited palettes that I feel drawn to at the time, since I definitely don't commit to painting realistically haha! I absolutely love the neocolor IIs, they feel so good on paper.
Fun video. I too love the yellow and AC mix!
Thank you 😁 these colours really mix so beautifully
What a lovely palette! The nickel titanate yellow is so soft and lovely. I really wish Roman Szmal would make tube paints, normal pans don't fit in my favourite palettes so I keep hesitating to invest in the brand... But they've got some absolute stunners!
Green gold is one of my favourite mixers for skin tones (in veeeery low concentration), and potter's pink is stunning for the pink of, like, animal noses and ears and toe beans (and it's ridiculously beautiful when combined with cobalt turquoise or teal, I've seen some ridiculously dreamy cityscapes using jus those two).
I think they plan to make tubes soon but they're working out the formula, so hang in there!
Those mixes sound absolutely beautiful - I think there's a Schmincke super granulating colour with cobalt turquoise and potter's pink, I'm sure I've done that mix before. Thanks for the support! 🥰
@Chromaphile There's definitely a Schmincke paint of that combo - I remember when it was first launched and it was one of like two Super Granulating that I was really drawn to, and it was so funny to realize that, yeah, that's because it's the exact combination that I'd been obsessing over for like two months before that specific launch 😂
Roman Szmal tubes will be so awesome, but I'll be in so much trouble when they launch 😅
I'll be in trouble too 😂 thankfully since I tried the pans I can just pick my favourites for putting in other palettes...
@@chromaphile oh are they 😱I hope it's by the end of this year I need that
I hope it's soon too but also I appreciate that they're taking the time to make sure it's the best formulation 😁
I wanna know where to buy that tin?? It's exactly what i been looking for. Perfect size
It's a ridiculously perfect fit, isn't it? I'm always on the hunt for that kind of perfectly proportioned tin, but they're always just a little bit off 😅
Hi, I get them on Amazon, they're by PandaHall - here's the German link but I know they're available internationally! www.amazon.de/-/en/gp/product/B09DCBWXWZ/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1
They really are perfect - I just linked them in this comment chain in case you want some!
@Chromaphile ooh, I just found them a few days ago and thought they might be it! Thanks for the confirmation, I'm definitely getting a set.
Great 😁😁
Good morning Jules! Do you know Black-eyed Susans? You might enjoy painting those. Or Calendulas? Oh! how about chamomile flowers? And what about creamy peonies? Some food I mran flowers for thought! Thanks for the post!
So many options 🤩🤩
Rose well done.
Thanks Priscilla! I'm a novice when it comes to florals :)
Is there a fall inspired one?
It's certainly in the pipeline! 😁
