"Hey, Vsauce! Michael here. This cookie sure tastes great, but what is inside a black hole?"
Michael Stevens in a nutshell.
+Gamer340 And politicians
+David Schultz +100000
+David Schultz Bernie is the biggest "politician". He is pro-extremely huge government
Lance Smith Yes, but he doesn't act like a politician. He rarely lies.
I can feel my IQ increasing exponentially...
Or can you?
HAVE YOU OBTAIN KNOWLEDGE
How is it now?
*same vibes as watching Rick nd Morty*
Suddenly, everyone here is Michael.
And as always, thanks for reading.
Hey Jsauce, Jack here.
"As always, thanks for watching!"
filipinordabest I read this at :36 in a Michael voice and it was truly great
@no, you are mistaken lol
there is litterally a video about Can you become Micheal Stevens?
does anyone else get super nostalgic when listening to this music? For me it is really that way because whenever I had a stressful day at college, i'd always come home and put on some vsauce and be happy.
same here bro
same.
Rip IMG and LUT you will forever be missed in our hearts
He still makes videos today.
me too ;(
hey vsauce, Micheal here, but what is here
(16 minutes later) and thats how cold fusion works
Typical vsauce!
Lol so true xD
this comment actually made me laugh out loud! good one
His name is spelled "Michael"
And as always thanks for watching
Hey Vsauce, Michael here. And porn is pleasing. But what if you watched it from inside the sun?
+Jacob Nair Dude! That was too funny! Made me laugh out loud just now!!! :) Well done sir!
OMG that was funny.
lol
lol
because you touch yourself every night.
Cool :)
Flan and turquoise are my favorites :)
Edit: I forgot Going Down!
Brilliant.
I fuckin' love you.
You are the best!!!
OMG I LOVE YOU DUDE!!!
Thanks for the saucey music :D
But, is grass ACTUALLY...Green? Well... Not quite. See...
"Most Tree Are Blue" ~Jaiden smith
Scientifically speaking the colour of anything is every other than the colour we see
What is life exactly? What if we are all just random clumps of matter traveling throughout time and space?
Quinn Murray That sounds about right
And as always... thanks for watching. 8:45
Moon Men (5:15) definitely imposes the Chudnow effect on the listener.... But what exactly is... the Chudnow Effect? I mean, sure we all enjoy Jake's music, and the soundtracks do give an eerie feeling to the Vsauce videos, but... do we all experience this effect the same way? When Michael pontificates on a deep contemplation of our existence and very nature of the universe... is the feeling in my gut inspired by the background music the same for me, as it is for you? There may not be an answer, because nobody currently has the ability to literally get inside the mind of another. But the Chudnow Effect is still very real, even if it cannot be quantified... it cannot be disproven, either. And as always, thanks for reading.
I agree that it gives me an eerie feeling in my gut, and a certain wonder of the universe seems to hit me no matter what is being explained. I suppose it could be a learned reaction... We remember having that feeling when we first watched Vsauce and heard that music, and now we always feel that. The Chudnow Effect is definitely a perfect name for this, and I do experience it with other TV shows, games etc. For example, listening to the second episode of Night Vale, listening to similar music by Disparition, playing Portal 2, or listening to its soundtrack. I suppose eventually everybody becomes a druggie to that existential feeling, may it be through media, or drugs, or something else. More people need to watch Vsauce. Michael is better at teaching than all of my science teachers throughout my life.
***** Yeah, it give me a much scarier feeling. Like the feeling of impending doom, or something that's played as the world ends. Reminds my of stuff decaying, buildings burning, anarchy. Really gives you the chills... *shivers*
+Ernest Werbel Your profile image is very elegant.
I agree with what you said but "it cannot be disproven" is just bullshit. The idea of proving something isn't to prove it false but to prove it true with facts and evidence, you don't set out to prove something wrong and if it can't be proven true then we're to assume it's false. Religion got em
...Or is it?
Going Down is my favorite one. I think it's the best "thinking music".
Gavin Warner It tends to provoke a long trip of philosophical thought, for me.
Gavin Warner Going down and Shona
+Gavin Warner Going Down reminds me of Minecraft Music. ^^
It's the only song I know that makes me tired.
Which one?
u know shit gets serious when michael puts this bad boy on 5:15
This is around the time he switches to the 4th topic
Roronoa Zoro No one can derail from a topic and yet seem to explain it as good as Michael
Rasmus Sjösten Slättås yep
and you know shit gets creepy and terrifying when michael puts this boy on 8:45
Hey vsauce, Michael here. You can touch me, you can feel me, you can smell me, you can even see me. So I exist.
Or do I?
Tongggggg
0:00 Flan
2:07 Banana
5:13 Moon Men
6:47 Going Down
8:45 145 (Poodles)
11:32 192
13:10 Rainbows and Rainstorms
Thank you
You're the real hero of Endgame, timestamp guy :)
it's in the description, guys
@@petergriffin8767 u can't click the description timestamp when you're in a mobile
@@petergriffin8767 it is, fuck you
Track 4: Going Down = 6:50 - 8:44 gives me a sense of how science answers can leave some people with a sad feeling knowing the the things we normally experience make us feel small and weak compared to massive solar systems and we can be easily whipped from existence as easily as we where created from materials.
+Arkzyk sounds like something I'd say while high.
+|Jake|C| lol
+Arkzyk I can completely agree with you. That's exactly what I think about when Vsauce reaches a conclusion. I am just left in complete "awe". Great job in expressing my feelings :)
***** I have also used it when I'm in deep thought for projects or studying for AP exams in general.
"Compared to a star, we are like mayflies, fleeting ephemeral creatures who live out their whole lives in the course of a single day. From the point of view of a mayfly, human beings are stolid, boring, almost entirely immovable, offering hardly a hint that they ever do anything. From the point of view of a star, a human being is a tiny flash, one of billions of brief lives flickering tenuously on the surface of a strangely cold, anomalously solid, exotically remote sphere of silicate and iron." - Carl Sagan
06:50 classic, classic!
That's my favourite song of this lift Vsauce 1.2 and 3 use it a lot at the end of their video's now but, they didn't before well not so much.
"Hey Vsauce! Michael here. We all know the feeling of anticipation... Or do we?"
But so fitting
Flan rocks me with a wave of awesome memories of learning and science. Like a mental orgasm that eventually spreads to my whole body. I've found my meditation music.
I hear these tracks, and I'm instantly brought back to those first moments of watching this channel. A warm feeling of comfort and nostalgia washes over me and it makes me feel like nothings out of my grasp, that knowledge is everywhere, and all it takes is for you to reach out for it and make it your own.
Thank you Vsauce, for being there when I needed you.
Same
Word
and as always, thanks for watching

Lol I love how this music makes everyone who listens to it a Michael, as apparent from the comments.
+prepareuranus It's awesome, looks like Zelda Inversed
puru .com
But what *is* music? And what *is* sound?
the "going down" one is so... makes u think of life and space and shit...
That about sums it up i guess x)
It's somewhat a scary song I don't know why.
So true.
Omg yes
Hey VSauce Michael here, or am I over there?
5:15 "But, how do we know?"
6:58: when ever I hear this, I prepare for a thanks for watching.
And 13:09
8:45 142 Poodles .. that's revolution number 9 for the Beatles creepiest song ever
yeah i know but it's a significant part of the song with the same effect on the keyboard and the same tune but just alternated to fit the techno style !!
It's a piano backwards. What's so beautiful about the song "142 (Poodles)" it's that it is listenable backwards. It kinda makes you wanna listen to that beatles song backwards. >w>
I was thinking the exact same thing.
145 not 142
I think that 142 (Poodles) is the scariest song here and makes you think about the universe and everything.
Congrats
congrats
Uxcis are you gay :)
congrats
you are too
Uxcis good comeback
Bananas are fruit...OR ARE THEY?
+Matt Hansen Berries are a fruit bam... Bananas are fruit confirmed
+Matt Hansen berries are fruit

And as always, thanks for reading
I just love how nostalgic these tracks feel
Going down just makes you think about life itself. Jake Chudnow has a very creative imagination to come up with these songs.
The start of it kind of reminds me of 9/11 for some reason.
Well technically these aren't songs, these are instrumentals since a song is music with singing, and for the parts that I've listened so far I haven't heard any vocals. Apparently most people just call any music a song, but I don't blame them since they don't really know better, and even I used to do it and still do sometimes.
+shiptech2k9 thanks i didn't know that
@@dylanwalkerphotography2812 same
Vsauce and its sister channels (2 and 3) are AMAZING. When they come out, I can't get enough of them. The only part that makes them better is the music that is paired with them. It's now so iconic to me that I love just listening to the tunes. Thank you to the artist for their inspiration, and thank you to the teams that make the Vsauce channels possible. I hope to meet you all one day.
Smoked 2 blunts louddd. Then listened to this lovee it.
your stupid
***** :') Is it really your business? no so stay out of it little nosey child.
***** ~pats head~ its okay.... now lets go get some ice cream before your mom notice you left the house
Brian Seward the fuck? nigga you weird.
Anon AlphaNBravo Person... you need jesus i do not take ur language very kindly please exit this post and move alot sire
142 (Poodles) comes from a Beatles song called "Revolution 9" at least the little hook that starts at 8:45 does.
Listening to this reminds me of happier times, watching Vsauce videos and gaining knowledge, feeling like the possibilities of life and the universe were endless
.com
These songs are the most multidimensional, beyond time, something very psychedelic and nurturing to the soul somehow... transcendental, ominiversal, epiphanic.
It always sounded very familiar, as if I knew it a lot from previous times when I was conceived and born in this life.
I felt that at the end
Track 4 is easily my favorite, it creates this feeling of nostalgia and wonder. Perfect music for learning
hey Vsauce, micheal here, We often eat food, but what if we could drink it? (10 mins later) and that is how a black hole is created
The ice cracking in Rainstorms and rainbows really adds a powerfull feeling to the song
i wonder if vsauce has done one about time yet. just imagine how this sounds:
"hey, vsauce! michael here, and i'm so glad you showed up just now. in fact, it's about time."
5:18
"what IS time? it's constantly moving, our lives are scheduled on it, and it's everywhere. but, what exactly...IS it?"
.com
Time is a tool you can put on the wall or where it on your wrist
well you see, IT is the pronoun we use in english when referring to an object, not something with personal value to be attributed an unique name
but it also is the name of a pretty bad movie
8:45 is always super creepy....
HoustonProductions1 ikr
Jake should put these on iTunes. I would totally buy the entire album
6:50 makes me feel emotionally uneasy.
"And as always!....:have a nice day"
No you.
+Mr.Bane Damn it... the ol switcharoo.
890five Troll is bad
+890five The fuck XD
Mr.Bane ... for you
I've come here January 2021. Because I miss Micheal, Kevin and Jake.
You search for the one with the massive drum in (these basin, not sure if this is the right translation)?
8:50 is what you're lookin for trust me
Robotripping. Pure trip music
I feel some serious nostalgia overload listening to this music for some reason. But why do we feel Nostalgia? 5:17 **go watch the "Why Do We Feel Nostalgia video"**
Listening to this while playing Universe Sandbox :D
tf2
while im coding, especially the first one.
moon men
I always love when 142 (Poodles) plays, it's just got such a creepy synth.
Haha it's a piano, backwards
Rainstorms and rainbows is a master peice I listen to it and it just make me think of life this crude and bleak sound progressing on and on it's fantastic. Love you Vsauce best channel on youtube
There is all but ONE. That song with the deep humming like thing.
Edit* I Think It's Called Turquoise Yeah I Think So.
Jake Chudnow
Said Sanchez Thanks dude, that's the one I've been looking for
Listening to this while star gazing hits different
Agreed.
Flan is my favourite song

Vsauce brings us great information all the time, always to these tracks and we still can't get enough of it. Thanks for being the greatest thing on RUclips, Vsauce :)
The music is really excellent for his program.
Darude - Sandstorm
Thats why he chose it lol!
The rude sandstorm
Uxcis that sandstorms a dick.
yup
I didn't know Jake composed these songs himself. These are awesome!
5:21 "But how do you know?"
i absolutely love the feeling of watching vsauce late at night, the video being borderline depressing, and track 7 playing in the background softly, and then the video slowly ending and being left alone in silence with your own thoughts. maybe its just me, but i love that feeling.
"going down" sounds like the music you hear while waiting for god to finally see you and see everything youve done in life
Oh the nostalgia. Going down really made me feel nostalgic.
i love the track 4 going down
This is one of the best soundtracks for a RUclips series I have ever heard!
Holy fuck. I loved those songs
have you seen Vsauce?
If so do you like them?
Zachary Vande Wlele Duh!
Always was a fan of Vsauce but their cool background music is just awesome! Thanks for the upload!
This sends shivers down my spine :)
"going down" makes me think of happy childhood memories for some reason... Love it!
Every time I here the 2nd song I think of "vsauce! Kevin here... This is Mind Blown!" Lol
Man, i so love this music. Makes me remember some of VSause videos from years ago.
.com
And as always, thanks for watching. 7:25
Damn, listening to Jack Chudnow, Ronald Jenkees and HOME in a row at night is so good!

Listening to mr Jake's music while reading Hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy is a truly incomparable feeling. Thanks to both Sirs!

could listen to this all day
5:15 , now this is where things start getting a little interesting. Memories?
Jake Chudnow's music is a heavy ASMR-trigger for me! Goosebumps all over the body....lovin' it!^_^
HEEEYY!!! Vsauce, Vegeta here! What is music? Why is it important, and most important, why is it evidence that we will all be mutated into aliens one day?
Love all the music in Vsauce and here it all is in one video! Thanks! Great work, Jake Chudnow. And thank you #Vsauce for changing my life. :) Also the second one sounds like it would fit really well with Bravest Warriors and the third with Night Vale. Going Down with Spore, Minecraft or Heroes.
damn 6:48 really nostalgic. Even made me cry a little lel
Tom Walker the first one got me
just gotta say the first one is awesome its really uplifting kind slows everything around you and gives you a feeling of hype
Hey Vsauce, Michael here. Or am I really? Let's define "here" for a moment. The now, the present. What does it really mean to be here ? And why is it so great when "here" is near a taco ?
;)
Always when 'Moon Men' starts in a vsauce video, Micheal is going to say something smart :D
Hey, Vsauce, Michael here. Did you know that if you took out someone's small intestine and stretched it out to it's full length it would...kill that person!
Finally, I've been looking everywhere for some of these tracks
13:09
The song of learning! The song of excitement! The song of civic participation!
LibertyNerd25 It kind of reminds me of the music from Portal.
Speaking of which, is there a Portal 3 due for release next year? I really loved those games, and could do with another one.
So been looking for something like this :D
I'm going to end this video off with a quote from on of my favorite authors and philosopher, Dr. Suess. "Doing drugs and walking backwards have the same results. You never fully understand what you're doing, and for all you know, you're about to trip." And as always, thanks for watching.
"Going Down" (6:50) personally puts me in a mood when watching a vsauce video.
Going Down is a masterpiece
And as always, thank you for watching.
Perfect sounds to sync in all the knowledge. I love how our species are so curious towards the unknown
Hey, Michael here. Space, it is used to describe the distance between to objects, but it is also to describe the entirety of what does not exist on Earth. What is space as it means to you, me, and the stars?
Kevin here, scientists in Norway have discovered that the average space between you and International Space Station can be used on a program that will fuel your circadian cycle. This is mind blow!
Jake here, space, the final frontier, and also the place Aliens was filmed by Ridley Scott...Ridley, like in Metroid! Time to morphball up and check out our newest DONG!
7:25 is just so soothing, always reminds me of old vsauce days...
These songs are the most multidimensional, beyond time, something very psychedelic and nurturing to the soul somehow... transcendental, ominiversal, epiphanic.
It always sounded very familiar, as if I knew it a lot from previous time when I was conceived and born in this life.
Poodles is my favorite c:
8:50 awesomeness starts
142 (poodles) is also used in the beatles song revolution 9.
lol
wow that's a triangle party
I think I don't fit in...
I dont have a triangle, but I have space as background, do i fit in?
SomeOne SomeOne does... :p (pun intended)
5:18 what we all want to hear
