I’ve been running a Vance and Hines Pro-pipe 2 into 1 on my 12 road-glide for years now and it’s never disappointed. I get good performance and it’s a nice deep throaty tone. It works for me. ✅ Your Thunder headers are banging!
Thunder header is the best sounding pipe out there, but quality control has gone down and chrome peel and black fades purple after about year or two. I recommend ceramic coating it.
My buddy's down at moonshine horse power are a huge fan of both. The dnd billet cat is a little more tame then the big boar baffle. That is in my opinion the loudest out but damn your ears after a long ride.
First pipe I put on my 12 Road king after getting rid of stock pipe was Cobra headpipe with VH Twin Slash Rds, wasn't impressed. Swapped that out for VH True Duels and the VH muffs. I liked the sound, wanted something louder so swapped out VH muffs for Cobra Neighbor Haters. Really like the sound and the bike runs good, but I still wanted to see if I could get a little more performance. So this weekend off goes the True Duels and NH's and on goes a Bassani 2 into 1 mid-length Road Rage. Hoping this will be the final exhaust on this bike....
I can’t speak for the thunderhead… but I had a 2018 road glide special with a 2:1 D & D that I took out everything around the baffle and the only thing around the baffle. There was no packing around the baffle. It was a steel cylinder. I had to cut out and separate from the baffle and yes, it was a big boy baffle… ceramic coated the baffle and inside the surrounding areas I put the baffle back in that was it and talk about loud, dark, ominous and ferocious sounding and loud it was right now I’m torn between that in a thunder header for 2024 CVO ST
I’m running a D&D Fat Cat on my 09 SG with a S&S 124LC. I called D&D about upgrading to a Boarzilla . They said the Fat Cat was fine, wound make good torque but I’d lose a little top end numbers. I’m good with that. Love the sound of the Fat Cat. Still loud as hell😂. I’m running the dummy pipe cause of my stretched bags
Did you have to use the stock middle bracket to support the new Thunderheader? I was only able to support mine at the heads and at the tail end under the bag. Will that be enough?
Bike sounds amazing. I'm leaning toward the Thunderheader because I love the sound. I just wish they offered a stainless option. What cam are you running?
I have the same bike with a 472 reaper cam, rinehart mufflers/ cat delete header pipe, thinking about a 2 into one header pipe, was curious if you're running a cam or stock, your bike sounds great 👍
Was your d&d the regular billet cat or was it the big bore? I've got the big bore and mercy it rings my ears after I've had it on the interstate. Around town it's loud and aggressive but out cruising it gets annoying.
Sorry I don’t know how it compares to the thunderheader. But if kromewerks is your preference I don’t think it would be a bad purchase I’ve seen the 2in2 perform well on big bore kits
@@officialmac Thanks for the response. Here in the next couple of months, once winter comes, Im going to making the trip down south to All American Cycles to get me some serious highway HP! They have definitely been making noise on these hogs and i need that HP!
Thanks for the video! Did your thunderheads come in black? Or was it stainless and it came with the black pieces held on with clamps? Ordered mine last year. Still waiting on it. Thanks!
Try taking everything out of the D n D and leave only the baffle inside in tact… also have the big bore baffle… now you got a LOUD dark deep tone monster
@@officialmac I ordered the big bore earlier, hope its not obnoxiously loud. Compared to the Thunder Header which is louder the Thunder or the Big Bore baffle?
Bassani RR 3 2-1 mid length or full length not just for sound but performance. I love the sound of Thunderheader but it does not perform as well ( proven on Dyno)
I've always loved the sound of the Thunderheaders.

I've always been and always will be a
THUNDER HEADER guy. In fact they are on my 21 RGS.
Fueling anti-reversion 2 into 1 full exhaust is nice also
Iv been looking for a Thunder header for awhile to fit my Indian Scout. I love the sounds of that pipe!

Your bike sounds amazing thanks for letting us hear it.
…..And Jackpot from fuel motto as well as Hpi. Totally agree with the exhaust you’ve mentioned, having said that 2 into 1 full exhaust for sure.
The jackpot RTX 2-1 is a top performer but I thought it was too quiet.

Jackpot, also. Fuel moto has it
How loud is this pipe comapted to others? Ok for touring?
21 road glide torque cammed thunder headers tab 4.5 50 cal. 2.1 with a dummy sounds great
I been looking at the shark road 2into 1 turn out with a torque cam on a M8 114

Nice ride I have a D D Fat Cat with the Big Boar baffle on my Zippers Stage 4 107 Twin Cam I ware ear plugs shes loud ride safe 👍
What’s the diff in the slip ons and the added money for ghost pipe on D&D website?

Sounds good can’t wait to see you run it.
Do you know if you can run a 130cubic inch 158 HP and 140lbs of torque on a old school 2006 flhrci classic HD with a engine brake
I love thunderheader
How do super trap exhaust work
Khrome works does it all looks sound and power

Now that you have had both (thunderheader and d&d) which one do you prefer. Which made most tq?
Thunderheader made more power D&D has a better sound!

How does length of the header pipes play into making HP/TQ?
Moonshine HP recommends full length pipe for maximum horsepower. They have dyno ran all size pipes on the M8 for their data knowledge
@@TEXAS_BAGITO full length as in overall length or do the pipes with longer headers produce more ?
