Adverse weather, nonsense. Bird strike, yes. But the landing gear has manual levers that a hydraulic failure wouldn’t effect. The Pilot’s didn’t lower the gear. Did they freeze and stop communicating? Sadly it seems like one likely factor
If you look EXTREEEEEMMMELY closely (I had to slow it down & zoom in), you can see that upon impact, some of the debris you see flying through the air are people. Very sad.
It wouldn’t from my amateur eyes there is multiple things wrong here. 1. Too fast 2. Was there an alternative longer runway. 3. Didn’t dump fuel 4. No foam on the runway 5. No flaps The list goes on… Most crashes like this are initial things goes wrong, pilot freaks out, compounding human error, boom.
@@MrHappyQuasarYou are correct as per my amateurish opinion as well. The bird strike caused the Pilots major series of setbacks that ultimately distracted them from lowering the gear manually. I suspect they had a major communication breakdown.
This is speculation but it looks like the pilots forgot to lower the landing gears as they were busy trying to establish and figure out the birdstrike on engine number 2. Let’s not forget they also got the vectors for landing on the other runway due to a “birdstrike” alert on runway 01.
Landing gear not showing up as down and nobody watching it? I can see it but it is odd. Obviously no warnings from the control tower or the plane otherwise they wouldn't have landed it. Very sad. Boeing🤷♂️ too early to tell but this seems like a trend with these planes.

pilot panicked
May the survivors be okay, and the deceased rest in peace. This is horrible.
Sad 😢

So sad 😭
Same thoughts from here. 🙏
why would a bird strike prevent the undercarriage from operating?
A bird strike and adverse weather conditions were cited by authorities as likely causes of the crash according to officials.

Yikes, rest in peace 179 people 🙏
