- Learn about a report I built that will connect to any local (PBIX) file that is using a live connection, and extract any report-level measures from that file. Live connections include (PBIX) files connected to: SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) models, Azure Analysis Services (AAS) models, and Power BI Shared Datasets.

Reid, this is awesome! Thank you for making such a valuable resource available to the community! Love what I'm learning from your channel.
Thanks Heather!
Nice stuff! Thanks a ton :)
Ohh, this is a saviour!
can this extract measures of Built-in power BI 'Usage Metrics Report' which gets produced from power bi service?
It cannot as you can’t download that file, and those measures aren’t report level measures.
@@HavensConsulting Thank you for your prompt reply. Is there any way to read the measure function they are using in those auto-generated reports?
Not that I’m aware of, sorry. Those reports are under lock and key for now
Hi
While trying to run this I get following error (The field 'modelExtensions' of the record wasn't found.)
Note this error pops up after I select a powerbi file into the parameter)
Please help
Hi there, is your model specifically a live connected model? Import models do not work with this.
Can you make the report you showed that actually draws out the dax formula ?
This should help solve that for you :) databear.com/how-to-view-and-retrieve-all-measures-power-bi/
Not free anymore..
You're right! It was free for two months as a promotion for when I recorded this video back in 2020. It's now part of the File collection I sell in my store. This one has a promotion for half-off (25 dollars) right now. :)
