I was a HUGE fan of Scott Norton. Dude was a mf beast and should've been pushed more. Him and Buff as a tag team were great...
He huge in Japan I've heard other wrestlers say they never understood why he couldn't get over in the US
Mid at best...They wasn't gonna be beating the Road Warriors or anything,
But I respect your opinion,I like some wrestlers noone else likes like that 💯
I agree 💯👍
@@Figfinderlike who???
@@Figfinder I've seen matches of him against the road warriors in japan
I feel Scott Norton was underused and grossly underappreciated in North America.
He was never over once in North America. He lived entirely off being "he was big in Japan". He had a great career in Japan, and in the US too, despite his relative lack of talent and noticeable lack of charisma.
@@mudshowmark2143 Lol what a hater, he had great talent as a big man please watch his japanese matches
@@mudshowmark2143nah Norton had it all.
Scott Norton was one of WCW's biggest missed opportunities for a monster match against Goldberg or Hogan.
This has been my favorite interview in the past month. I could listen to Scott for hours
This dude was a legit monster who could move so explosively. He should have been revolving around the main event. #whyeric
Being a Minnesota boy myself and a big fan myself Scott is almost like a mythical legend and a serious force to reckon with, so good to see him looking good and living well with how many of the Minnesota crew has died young
Met Scott at signing on Friday. He was real cool to talk to.
Scott Flash Norton is one of those guys that you knew that the Tough Persona was NOT an act.
He was, and probably still is a legit tough dude that also happened to wrestle professionally.
Arguably the best powerbomb in the business. Dude was underused, but always impressive in whatever he did.
Scott Norton in his prime would have made a great WCW/WWF world champion! Scott was great and a pure powerhouse and was popular
I’m a huge fan of Big Scott Norton his feud with Earnest the Cat Miller was awesome, he’s the OG of hard chops! He was never utilized to his potential in WCW
Him and a lot of other wrestler's. Because of big names politicing.
Like Sumo Joe said in TNA, guys padding their retirement accounts. 💲💲💲
Scott Norton was one of my favorites in the nWo
i'd like to hear about him tell about his time tagging with the notorious tony halme, aka Ludvig Borga...
Total Class Act! Great to see Big Scott Norton and hear his stories 👊🏼
Big fan of Scotts work here in the States and in Japan. Flash can wrestle against the very best in the pro wrestling business with his power and speed for his size.
While i wish Norton had been booked higher up the card, i did enjoy his run as the one guy in nWo B-team that you didn't mess with.
Randy Savage & Scott Norton would have been one hell of a tag team. Maybe even a faction of Savage, Norton, Rick Steiner and Perry Saturn. Throw in Gorgeous George with her shock of blonde hair contrasting all these dark-haired fellows, it'd be a great look. Could have called them The Madness or something similar. A team like that would have been chaos and destruction, along with a few championships...
Norton vs Ice Train = MEGA MEAT
It's amazing that wcw was booked like this, and it was still awesome. Hogan got his. Then Savage. Piper, Nash, Goldberg, Luger, Sting, etc.
When i played wcw/nwo i always picked Scott. Best power bomb ariund and his clothes line was as good as Bradshaw's.
What the hell was in the water in Minnesota at that time?
Sure it’s the diet, fresh air, lots of heavy lifting/manual work.
Totally under used in WCW, he was a beast
Late to show on Scott Norton. Didn’t get exposed until WCW and what I had seen in the magazines. I was an instant fan. Then I discovered his matches in Japan… holy s**t was I missing out!
Scott could have definitely been pushed as a monster heel but most of his time in WCW he was simply an nWo lackey. He could have definitely been a good US Champion but as he said himself he got that there was so much political stuff to deal with it was probably never going to happen long term for him
I was never a fan of Scott as a wrestler but after seeing these clips, I'm a fan of him as a person I see him in a different light.Stand up, cool, awesome dude.
What did you not like about his wrestling? I found him intense and entertaining.
I felt the same way as Bobbysox86...He played a bully/henchman type character in the ring....and I was never a fan of those characters because I assumed their real personality was similar to that. After listening to Scott's interviews outside the ring you can tell he has more substance then just a bully@@jvharbin8337
@jvharbin8337 best powerbombs ever, insane.
WCW and American wrestling in general really screwed up not utilizing Norton to his full potential. Feuds between Norton amd Steve Williams, Vader, & Sid Vicious wouldve been great. Also wouldve liked to see Scott Norton vs the Warlord.
You remind me of the kids from Best of Best😮
It sounds like someone was backstage telling bischoff "that doesn't work for me brother".
A Minnesota nWo would have been epic.
2nd episode of Nitro. I was looking forward to that feud.
Not too many wrestlers will talk about how he was lied to about the programs he was supposed to work, then have the humility to say he understood why it happened.
It's all very well Bish complaining about politics etc., but HE fostered that environment.........
WCW didnt deserve Flash smh
This is why you don’t give wrestlers creative control. If you have a booker that knows what they’re doing, you need to let them book. So many last minute decisions made for bad matches and stuff that just didn’t make sense.
He would have done good in WWE
I'm guessing you heard doesn't work for me brother 😊😊😊😊
Sounds like a lot of the intended booking/creative didn't work for somebody, brother.
I have a feeling you're correct. It was probably done because Norton was seen as an unknown and Hogan needed a group of friends to have his back against the Dungeon of Doom, jack. 🙄
I don't believe Savage himself would've had any problems working with Norton.
Scott doesn't act like a boomer
Wish he was in his prime now.
Are you implying that he acts like a zoomer because he only says half a sentence and expects people to telepathically figure out the rest of it?
Yep he's got alot of respect, probably learned it over in japan
Scott "nWo" Norton
Eric was such a failure. I hate to say that but all the talent lost because of just his ego and high on himself 😢
One of the most charismatic wrestlers ever who cut one of the greatest promos ever should have never been in a feud with a vanilla arm wrestler.
If you don't play politics, you eventually get stepped on.
Guy talked for 5 minutes and never answered the question...
Been watching wrestling since the 1970's, never heard of this guy...
Norton had no mic skills. Very simple answer.
