I'm obsessed with fragrance and also cruelty free. I've found a LOT of misinformation on the web regarding cruelty free fragrances. The information just isn't as prevalent and readily available as skincare and makeup. While a quick google search will give you the usual suspects (Pacifica, Floral Street, other brands in this video), there are other brands incorrectly listed as NOT cruelty free, or with little information. Hopefully any of you seeing this post will find the resources below helpful. CRUELTY FREE HOUSES YOU (maybe) DIDN'T KNOW WERE CRUELTY FREE: -Elie Saab (confirmed by email) -Maison Francis Kurkdjian (confirmed by email) -By Kilian -Montale (confirmed via Facebook) -Sol de Janeiro -Jo Loves -NEST -D.S. and Durga -Brands under Parlux (parent company), such as Rihanna, Jessica Simpson, and Sofia Vergara -Ariana Grande -Clean -Juliette Has A Gun -Etat Libra D'Orange -Good Chemistry There are also some high quality clone houses that make cruelty free clones of many designer and niche fragrances. I've had the most success with: -Dua Fragrances -Be Layered -Alexandria Fragrances -Oil Perfumery -Oakcha -You can also try Fragrenza, Dossier, or Eden, but I haven't tried them yet. Also, Armaf and Al Haramain make some great clones and both have confirmed cruelty free status. The biggest issue is the sale of fragrances on store shelves in mainland China as China requires animal testing of imported products sold in stores. This excludes Taiwan and Hong Kong where this law has thankfully been abolished! (And yes, China has eased some of these laws in select cases, but products can still be pulled for after-market animal testing should the Chinese gov't deem it necessary, so still not cruelty free.) Lastly, if you would enjoy watching videos about cruelty free perfumes (especially more mainstream) and cruelty free dupes/clones, can you like or comment on this? I have been thinking about starting my own channel but I'm not sure if people would be interested enough in this topic. Almost forgot 2 other clone houses: Federico Mahora - unfortunately an MLM so be careful. Also difficult to purchase because you have to find a sales rep. But if you are interested, reach out to FragranceSpell on Instagram - she took care of me (without asking me to become a sales rep, lolololol). Also, La Rive makes some super cheap clones. This one is hit and miss because the brand is SO cheap (think dollar general/family dollar) - but they have some real shockers with decent longevity and sillage.

I keep hearing about fragrances being salty, having a salt note. I'd like a video please explaining that with some perfume examples. I just can't wrap my head around what salt smells like or how a salty perfume would smell and perform on me. Thank you, watching from California! xxx
I have a sample size sea salt and sage scent cologne from Jo Malone. It really reminds me of the salty wind when I’m at beach , and it’s like salt when you cook or bake, it enhances other flavour( think of salt caramel) . If you layer salt scent perfume with some other perfume , it makes your other perfume scent smell stronger if that makes sense.
@@catladylion5186 I really like that fragrance and I do not typically like salt, wood, or sage lol. It just smells so fresh and clean to me, like being on a Nantucket beach rather than a Hawaiin beach.
I have a video idea! Perfumes that make you think of a color, e.g. purple, red, dark brown... I think that would be really interesting! Sometimes I don't know what fragrance to wear with certain clothing.
I really like Kat von d Saint. For some reason the vanilla in it is really magnified on my skin. I think because there’s so much vanilla on me that makes me like it!

Here in Canada we have Lise Watier Cosmetics which is completely cruelty free and their fragrances are very nice.
