The only planars I can tolerate the upper mids and treble are my S12 retunes the Nobody and my FatGlam by Michael Bruce. The Nobody is definitely TOTL for any driver configuration. The FatGlam is more of a specialized set to satisfy my by bass head needs when I feel the urge to go into that territory. Great review. Keep the great content coming…! 🙏
@@fiddlix I have the full S12 collection but haven’t had the pleasure of trying any of Micheal Bruce’s S12 Mod Line. I have tried EQing my S15 and S08 to the FatGlam graphs though. So much fun.
Can't wait for the artti-t10 and s08 comparison. Also smart choice with the dac amp review, it's come to a point that every cs43131 dac amp sounds good that you won't go wrong in picking the lowest price or the most aesthetically pleasing in your eyes. I've already stopped at the onix alpha xl1 since the ka17 barely made any difference in my ears.
I also feel that way about Dongles, which is why I don't have a ton of interest in them. T-10 review will be the next planar project. It should be a good one.
Thanks for another great review! Appreciate that even if the tuning isn’t for you, you still provide a comparison to other similarly tuned planars so that people who like the sound on the Dudu or the Dioko can evaluate if this is a good value for them. I’ve also tried both the Dudu and the Dioko so easier for me to know what my opinion on this one will be 😂
@AudioAmigoReviews you're going to be pleasantly surprised, Letshuoer listened to all of the feedback on the Pro and put together a great set. I look forward to your review.
when the review started i felt like you did not have the energy for it. i was starting to suspect that you were disappointed at it. you had more energy with draco andni get why. i had high hopes for it as well since the shell looked amazing.
Yeah this was a tough one to script and do listening tests for. I don't LIKE talking bad about sets, especially when I had high expectations, but I also try to keep things real.
I think it would be interesting to open this, the Dudu and S08 up and compare the internals. I suspect only Letshuoer dampened the driver with foams, the other two probably not
The T10 will be my next planar review. When it’s on sale for under $50 I think it’s the best value for money planar period. Thanks for the comment and all the support!
I personally don’t find them to be sibilant. They have a little bit of metallic timbre to them, probably from the PZT, but I personally don’t find them too fatiguing. To my ears, the 500LM has more treble energy.
In the recent Luna-madness, HzSound's is sadly the loser out of the 3. It's a hard sell when old but gold options as well as the likes of S08 are in the same price bracket. Feels like they try to sell you on accessories, design, & presentation but with half-baked or simply a quick copy-paste(from Dudu) tuning. No bueno on this. Hope the next planar contenders (mainly Fiio's upcoming FP3) and some hybrids would be a lot more enticing & of actual value 🙂
@@lordlopes2424 I’m pretty excited for the FP3. As long as I can afford it, I’ll try to pre-order one as soon as they become available. I don’t know too much about the Simgot Planar outside of some rumors that it might have been cancelled. If it comes out, I’ll jump on that one as well.
@@AudioAmigoReviews From what I see the FP3 will be 90 bucks, the design is great and will have 2 pin instead of the common mmcx used by Fiio. The Simgot planar from what I see may come, looks like HBB has pre production unit of it.
@@lordlopes2424 $90 is an extremely crowded price bracket. I hope it’s tuned well. Can’t wait to listen to it. I did see HBB had the simgot planar, but he was going to give it away and judging by the tone in his video I don’t know if simgot is gonna bring it to market. We’ll see.
