You should do some research on the dog tag,a lot of times when a Naval or Mariene dies,a loved one or fellow service member will toss there dog tag in to the ocean
So what's a good metal detector that's not a ton of money. I bought one off Amazon for 400 and ot beeps at everything.. I just want something that works
That really depends on where you are hunting, beach, field, parks, etc... Equinox is hard to beat for any of them and easy to use with little learning curve.

Yep, Dan drives 400 miles to dig up my honey hole where most of his success this year has come from. As for the Deus 2, he certainly is missing a ton of targets that are deep but when there are a ton of targets you really do not need to care about deep targets.

Howdy Jim!!! hey I was wondering what that platinum ring rang up as on the Equinox 900, I use the 900 and the 800 as well but NEVER dug a platinum ring before, hopefully with the knowledge of knowing the VDI number I could keep that in the back of my brain to look for when I get out to the beach.

Have you had any silver coins yet?
I have found thousands of silver coins over the years but it is become more and more rare unless a large storm pushes some up on the beach.

It was a low tone like a 9 but it is more about size and shape than the type of metal.
