just found the song yesterday and it's wonderful without doubt, like everything from RA, but isn't it terribly sad (lyrics) compared to all other songs : o? ~ but I get closer everyday to letting this world win
They posted it on facebook, the interview is like an hour and a half and he only says it near the end, but this is the link. ntwha DOT c0m / episode - 032 - tim - mcilrath /
Also I think "letting this world win" and "cant this all wait till the morning? I cant think straight right now" are the correct lyrics, rather than the ones listed.
Just in case anyone was wondering, Tim stated in a recent interview that he will be releasing a solo album. He's not made any comment on when or what the album will consist of but I assume it will be mainly acoustic songs such as this.
I'm just confused as to if this is stuff for the new Rise album they've reportedly started working on, or if this is just something for Tim to play by himself live. It's a huge step up from Endgame lyrically either way.
I believe it's not 'We kept the lights of a thing that should've died', rather 'We kept something alive that should've died'. Otherwise decent lyrics, great song.
I can't figure out the "Like a ____ ____ regrets" lyric and it's driving me nuts! I know it's not "death row cigarette" because it doesn't sound like that and that makes no sense, and Tim's lyrics almost always make sense.
I love Rise but I would totally buy albums for all Tim's solo songs too
i hope you know i have been listening to this at least once a week for 3 years straight
The best of the new songs Tim has written... no doubt!

tomzjamz still waiting... I want an acoustic RA album this and other new stuff with zach and joe and brandon with some subtle backing vocals/melodies
Nice video! Did you record "What are we gonna do"?
It was on a podcast that Tim was on the name of the podcast is escaping me though :/

Nope, Ghost note symphonies is out now.
If anyone has a guitar tab or chords and shared it I would worship you
do you have a link to the interview?
I think it`s "boxing us in" rather than boxing your sin. Amazing song though!
is there a stuido version of this?
Can anyone tab this?

"Like a dead rose staying red" if youre still wondering or forgot about this song.
fightclub1537 to me it sounds like a dead rose stained red. Instead of staying red
