I think the TTC should do what the MTA of New York City does for our Select Bus Services , pay before you board through fare machines with Presto or with coins or whatever, and keep the receipt as proof of payment, trust me, people will abide when you threaten random fare inspections and actually inspect for fare skippers

I don't get the whole proof of payment thing? Why don't they just leave the fare stations on the streetcars? Not everyone will have a Presto card by 2014.
TTC is taking forever 510 line only has 3 on line right now they were suppose to have over 40 by now. TTC cant be snail pace forever and let riders suffer by the poor service of the old ones. By July, The Pam Games will come and TTC will be FORCED to roll them out QUICKER! Hopefully by July 2015: 510, 509, 511 streetcar lines will be fully equipped with all new streetcars good riddance to the old streetcars.
More fare inspectors please. Too many people not paying, too many homeless people riding it and sleeping. Those 4 seater areas facing each other is a huge disaster with no leg room. This might be good for families but they are usually taken before a family gets on and strangers dont like facing each other. I would remove this for the next round of streetcars.

'they were pretty dirty before so its a nice change'... folks... dirty streetcars have absolutely nothing to do with the fact they are old. they are dirty because the employees in the yards (this goes for all buses an all YRT buses and beyond)... its a RACE TO FINISH WASHING BUSES AND GO HOME. sometimes they power wash the insides. old or new, they half ass clean the vehicles.
i like the old streetcars >.> they were cozy to me. on my ride to the CNE i can stick my elbow semi out the window and feel the breeze in my face . these ones are all like..meh
I like the Bombardier trains, but I wonder what the Siemens trains would have been like and if they would be on time. Probably. Germans are good at building amazing shit on time. Who cares anyway. These things don't belong on 2 lane roads where unfortunately their routes are located. Why are these streetcar things even being built? They're a total pain in the ass and a relic of the 1920's, when unfortunately, toronto didn't have the balls to dig subways by hand using shovel carrying Irishmen. Streetcars are a sad, lazy, pathetic improvised subway. They are more like a tourist trap, or carnival ride compared to a means of sustainable transportation which is a subway. This is the 2010's and we need Subways, subways, subways, and we have the ability to build. Build a diagonal subway along the power transmission corridor between Flemingdon Park and Malvern. This would service 100's of thousands, and require the least effort and traffic interruptions. Also, modern boring equipment can replace these annoying antiques along queen, kingston, gerrard. Put them underground where they belong, and give the roads back to drivers now, you useless, god damn carriage riding fuckin' pricks!
So I wonder how much are those lazy fare inspectors who check people's tickets are getting paid? Must be a very hard and educated job. So you have a drive and a fare inspectors. LOL.

They did, they ordered a bunch of custom length Novabus Artics.
Why couldn't they just build the damn Presto system into the doors. POP doesn't work, you'd need an army of workers going around.
They are built by the world leader in Transportation Technoloies, None other then Bombardier inc.
Bay Area Rapid Transit or BART in San Francisco recently received new train cars from that company
