ive got one. its an excellent bit of kit. i advise everybody to get one .life gets way easier when you're working on cars or bikes.
Godfather I love it I am a pipefitter/welder and this problem comes up more than you would think I want to get one of these shifts to have in the truck at all times That's a good little idea another one I do is spray it with break liquid overnight then hit it with the torch but that's perfect for spots where you can't get a torch in what I appreciate it and I'm grateful for you Adam thank you brother!
That laugh when he got the first one off. Like
That tool works amazing great video
thanks for the video on the induction heater pretty slick way for the stubborn pocket bolts
You bet
Adam, great video as we all have trouble getting pockets off the cutting wheel. Great tool to add to your tool inventory. Keep’m coming brother, Fran
Thanks 👍
Great video as always... and thanks again for showing us an option that we can use... as I'm still learning and your helpful hints and information and tips really help...
Thanks again and have a great day
You are so welcome!
Nice little tool thanks for the heads up on it.
No problem 👍
Great video Adam thanks for showing that tool to your subscribers. I have seen one before. My adopted uncle Mark used a tool just like that when we had to do major repairs on the first chipper I ever owned to break loss all the rusted bolts. ( He actually was my equipment technology professor in college and adopted me like his own son and to this day over 15 years later I can call him if I get stuck on a problem on any equipment and he will help me get it fixed and back working making money.. )
He is what we call good people
Great tool!
Thanks for the video. I have to get an exhaust manifold off my truck. I think I will get one!
I have some button head fasteners on a custom chopper i used locktight on that won't budge loose. I need a tool like that good informed video.
I love this tool great video
Thanks 👍
this helped me. thanks for posting.
Glad it helped
Just picked me up one similar. No use for it at the moment. But me like anyone in some trade or works with tools. Eventually you cross pain in the ass nuts and bolts. I’ll be ready the nest time around. An half of my time being on the road this is still easier than a small torch pack
Taken the cutting torch , to a few bolts/ pockets, on my rayco. But, can't complain, the abuse it goes through. I actually arc weld a little hump on the pockets sometimes, so the dirt goes around the allen head, instead of direct contact, wearing it out so fast.
I just bought one, saved my bacon when stripping down a turbo off of a Cummins ISX. A 24mm flare nut was giving me fits. I slipped the induction coil over the line to the flare nut, within a minute it came off like melted butter. Damn good investment, and no tanks to lug around! Not that I would use an oxy-acetelyne torch on a turbo, and that is the beauty of these units, very little if any risk of damage to surrounding parts and pieces. .
Thanks for the feedback
Nice to see the 252 getting some love.
I put a link in the description to your video brother
? I have found slop in the tongue sleeve by front wheel and will be taking it apart ..have you dealt with that issue
@@mustangrebuilder Thanks brother! Received lots of views last time you did that, hope I helped a few folks. I should make others that are informational, more detailed, more thought out, pre planed even. Made that last one on a whim cause I thought I had the answers to a few questions you had asked.
Working on a chip plow for my 252 now. Already made a couple short videos on it that just show the progress, no instruction or me actually working, not really informative. My typical intention with you tube has been to share the things I think are cool or are proud of with the world as I choose not have Facebookery TickTockery, FLickFLock, MySquare, or any typical form of social media.
@@mustangrebuilder I live with it myself. If you mean where that square stock bolts into the other square stock. Tried tightening that nut a little, didn't do anything. I believe its caused by abuse or severe use to the machine prior to my ownership, at least in my case. I'm certain that mine was flipped prior to my ownership, there are other signs. Not sure how much that did or didn't have to do with the slop in my tongue This guy Mr Corley has taught me much about 252's, he had 6 at one time, he sometimes comments on 252 vids on youtube. He had said to watch that section of tubing all the way up under the machine for rot and/or elongation from heavy use, once that blows out its a mighty repair to re weld in the main frame of the underbelly of the machine. You can see mine is pretty swollen right up to where the boom attaches to the frame at the up/down pin. Sorry for such an inconclusive answer on the matter but that is what I know if I understand you correctly.
@@mustangrebuilder I made a video of how bad mine swollen frame issue is that creates the tongue slop, at least I think in my case. If you have the same thing going on, let’s compare!
great review, hope this tool will last
Great video ty
Thank you too!
Well you are this weeks sticker winner send info to mustangrebuilder@gmail.com and which one you want
@@mustangrebuilder ty! Am I too late? Just got my brand new sg40 yesterday
@@raymorriss ck your email I got you
For the job you did, i think the pad style of the coil would have been more efficient. I don't think the copper coil is supose to glow almost white/melting. The fan is suppose to cool it down but having the coil snugly on the iron cut all airflow.
Imo, just a tool design flaw but still very useful!
Thank you for the input ...I value it
This video is a couple years old now. How's the tool holding up? $180 on Amazon for the Solary sounds a lot better than other manufacturers running $400-500. However, the dissatisfaction rate on the reviews for the Solary is higher. Looks like about 10% get a lemon.
I dont use it everyday but so far so good ...it works when I pull it out of the draw ... but you can maybe find one on alliexpress or venvor
Appreciate the response!
Well I'm not a skeptic on the induction heater, Well... maybe just a little bit Lol... But If you use Never seize on the studs they shouldn't freeze up ?
Your right but that machine was bought used and I always replace with anti seize
I’m thinking about buying one. I’d like to know if it could silver soldier 7/8 copper hvac lines. Make a video if you read these.
Buy it off amazon ..try it and if it doesn't work return it
That's a good idea Adam. I'll need to get one of those.
Does the package indicate how long you can have it turned on without damaging the unit?
And, does it say how long the unit needs to cool down between uses?
And lastly, have you tried it for removing the carbide on worn grinder teeth?
God bless.
Will look into that
two minutes on fine minutes rest.
Hey is it still working after all this time?.
Yes
I know this has nothing to do with your video and mabey you have already answered this but I was watch another one of your videos and you said you were doing 6 plus jobs a day...are you going out in person and bidding each job or do you have an agreement with everyone you sub for i.e. hourly or flat rate
I show up and they never ? my price
Well you are this weeks sticker winner send info to mustangrebuilder@gmail.com and which one you want
