- 1963 Thunderbirds are very familiar to me. When I was a kid, my grandma drove one in a pale pinkish shade of beige. Riding in it was always a thrill. Occasionally she would say "HOLD ON I'M GONNA FLOOR IT". All 390 horses under the hood would push us back into those stylish seats and the force field of speed would over joy us every time … we’d LAUGH everytime !!! … So sit back and enjoy the JOYRIDE !!! …

Imagine how many more T-Birds would have been sold if Ford had Charles to do the commercials!
63 is one of my favorite Thunderbirds Charles. Very low production of the limited editions like this. It's Magnificent.
Can you imagine cruising along the California coast in your new Thunderbird with its optional 345hp / 390 cu inch engine? Settle in to those comfortable power adjustable bucket seats and tune the all transistor AM/FM radio to listen to your favorite music for the open road. The elegant Thunderbird touch surrounds you as the miles drift away.
This Thunderbird is gorgeous!!!! 👍👍
Charles we had a 1961 blue with black interior all the same bucket seats and so forth the car was amazing one of the best we've ever owned
Charles, you are such a good salesman! When you focus on a model car that I only had a mild interest in, suddenly I realize how beautiful it is! Always a pleasure to see a new vid from you.
I love how he points some detail that I have missed or not paid much attention to. Charles' car vids are the best, right up there with Leno, only with a bit of a different take.
Wow, thanks!
@@_charlesphoenix This is ideal. Not only are you royalty like Princess Grace but the taillights remind me of your nipples.
What a GORGEOUS, GORGEOUS car! Imagine seeing one sweeping through the streets of Monaco in 1963 with all the windows down, Princess Grace at the wheel wearing white gloves, a scarf, and her Renauld Spectaculars! Sigh.
No one can match Charles for how much drama he can pack into a 1:38 car video! The 1963 Principality of Monaco special edition (mid-year option, 2,000 made) is one T-Bird that I have always admired from a distance, I've never seen one in person.
I drove one, the guy was selling it and I have no place for it. It may very well still be in the barn he was storing it in.
I Knooow!
This limited edition is one of my favorite Thunderbirds of all time. My understanding is that it was essentially a tribute to the beautiful Grace Kelly, who is (coincidentally) one of my favorite actresses of all time. When this car was offered to the public Princess Grace would've been 32 or 33 years old...at the height of her beauty.
Our neighbor had a 1963 like this only it was a convertible, white with a blue interior. I used to sit in the back and wave to people like I was royalty. 😜
Hey Charles, where's the rest of the 2/3 of the overview? With your storytelling and ability to match the (essentially) stock footage to a later voiceover, this could easily be a 5 or even a 10 minute video before you even open the door and get in.
This car is beautiful! I just love them tell lights that’s why I love the 64 galaxy
What a beauty. Classic interior also and the swing-away steering wheel!
I knoooooowwwww! 👌🏼
I was a little boy in the early sixties and had one of these as a model. I still love them. I find the a/c installation fascinating and of course the Lincoln Continental for these years shared that location. I prefer the rounded front wheel opening on the '61-2 models over this squared off one, but OTOH the '63 was the first to get an alternator. Thanks, Charles.
Charles. You have a way of finding some of the most amazing automotive works of art. Thank you for bringing us your wonderful channel.
I don't think Chris likes this car very much.....He's absolutely SPELLBOUND by this "creamy beauty!" That rosewood interior....OyyyyVeyyyy! Always love the Thunderbird emblem. Lovely video Charles.
I love it, and the car, too.
I had a 62 in college. I didn't realize what I had and I am still kicking myself 52 years later.
I have to agree! That is an epic looking T Bird!
Be still my heart! I loves me some T-Birds!
We had one of these when I was a kid - my Dad's car! It was a lovely dark cherry red model which sadly was involved in a bad accident, but no serious injuries! I LOVED that car! 🤩❤
What are your thoughts on the 1966-1967 Dodge Chargers?
LOVE EM
Beautiful Bird............... 👍👍
Creamy
Just a beautiful car, thanks for showing it.
The '61 - '63 T-Birds are probably my favorite style next to the '55 - '57's. They have such a clean streamlined look.
Rear Mounted Jet Engines. Later copied by McDonald Douglas for the DC-9
Rare is the bird that survives
I have an opportunity to look at a 1961 black on black this week it's a bit of a rust bucket but it runs very well and I don't know what it's worth at this point but if I can pay for it you bet I'll own it 1961 Ford Thunderbird black on black interior is perfect
Love the style of the 1961-1963 ‘birds. No wonder Chrysler designers took a queue from those T-Birds to model their Turbine Car of the same period.
Biggest mistake Ford ever made was changing the two seat Thunderbird into a four seat Thunderbird.
Really? You don't think maybe the Edsel, or the 4-door T-Bird might have been bigger mistakes? Because sales figures for the 4-place cars don't quite bear that theory out..
What a glorious color.
I know...I love my '62 T-Bird
Bullet Bird!
My first car was a ‘62. I got it when I was 16 in ‘78. Same color! License plate number was EOH 921. Where is it?
Thanks for this Charles ! Perfectly presented. A joy to watch. = Jeff H.
Very welcome
@@_charlesphoenix Do you have an email address? I would like to ask you some questions. However, I don't have Instagram. I'm special. = Jeff H. Are you on FB?
“I know!” Too!
AWESOME!
The "jet rocket" styling is hilarious combined with the Ye Olde Carriage scroll do-hickey on the fake vinyl roof. Oh brother!
