"Living Hope" How great the chasm that lay between us How high the mountain I could not climb In desperation, I turned to heaven And spoke Your name into the night Then through the darkness, Your loving-kindness Tore through the shadows of my soul The work is finished, the end is written Jesus Christ, my living hope Who could imagine so great a mercy? What heart could fathom such boundless grace? The God of ages stepped down from glory To wear my sin and bear my shame The cross has spoken, I am forgiven The King of kings calls me His own Beautiful Savior, I'm Yours forever Jesus Christ, my living hope Hallelujah, praise the One who set me free Hallelujah, death has lost its grip on me You have broken every chain There's salvation in Your name Jesus Christ, my living hope Hallelujah, praise the One who set me free Hallelujah, death has lost its grip on me You have broken every chain There's salvation in Your name Jesus Christ, my living hope Then came the morning that sealed the promise Your buried body began to breathe Out of the silence, the Roaring Lion Declared the grave has no claim on me Then came the morning that sealed the promise Your buried body began to breathe Out of the silence, the Roaring Lion Declared the grave has no claim on me Jesus, Yours is the victory, whoa! Hallelujah, praise the One who set me free Hallelujah, death has lost its grip on me You have broken every chain There's salvation in Your name Jesus Christ, my living hope Hallelujah, praise the One who set me free Hallelujah, death has lost its grip on me You have broken every chain There's salvation in Your name Jesus Christ, my living hope... Jesus Christ, my living hope Oh God, You are my living hope
Wow, this is so beautiful. Not just your voice and the accurate harmonies, but the spirit of worship with which you presented it. I was looking for a tutorial, and I was caught up in worship to our great God. Thank you for sharing your love for the Lord and your heart of worship. This is what "worship leading" is supposed to look like. Blessings!
This was such a lifesaver!! Thank you so much for posting this! With such excellence, broken into all parts & joining them all as well. This is the best vocal tutorial I have EVER used👏👏👏We were thrown a new song to learn for the Easter program the day of & I didn't know this song. So God bless you for your hard work!! Keep doing what you do, you've made a difference for our team, I sent it to all the vocalists to learn in 3 hours😁
Praise God! I'm so thankful you were able to use this with your vocalists for your worship service... and that you all found it helpful. Thanks for sharing!!
Wow, your videos are one of the BEST to learn harmonies and you have an awesome voice. Thank you!!! With this song, i was wondering if you have any way to share how to sing the upper harmony for the verse parts as they are not as audible (i think the melody sounds stronger in the video so it was hard to pick up the upper harmony). Thank you again...
Hi! So glad you like it. Ah yes, sometimes it’s hard to hear the specific part, so I actually made the individual tracks where the upper and lower harmony are isolated by themselves for the whole song. You can get access to those in the description or here: livinghope.worshiprefocus.com Hope that helps!
Thanks! Well, yes. You can sing what I've labeled as the "Upper Harmony", or you can also sing the "Lower Harmony" up an octave (which can also work). In this arrangement, I modified the harmonies for the last chorus where the melody is modified, so that changes things a bit as well. Does that answer your question?
That makes sense. The upper harmony is technically the “tenor”, but since the key is rather high, I would suggest a female alto singer to sing the “tenor”. Then lower harmony is the “alto” harmony and could be sung by a guy as I do in this tutorial, or it could be sung an octave higher in the female range just as well by a soprano. Hope that helps.
May the Lord continue to bless your ministry and talent
Thank you!! 😊
Keep posting dude!! Love your tutorials!!
Thanks!! 😁

Need solfa notation notes on all parts
are there multiple high part harmonies that can be done on the chorus? Amazing voice by the way!

Can we have a copy of the minus one?
I'm not exactly sure what you mean...
@@WorshipRefocus instrumental copy/accompaniment of the guitar (without the voice)
You lost me on the upper and lower harmony stuff. I thought you were going to do the traditional Alto, soprano and tenor harmonies.
That makes sense. The upper harmony is technically the “tenor”, but since the key is rather high, I would suggest a female alto singer to sing the “tenor”.
