This is a great video. I have watched most of your videos so I do know how busy you are and I wish you good luck getting the family all settled in to the new home. It will just take time! Please could it be possible to make another video just like this but for those new to phone logic board repair. Aimed at fault diagnosis and finding shorts on IPhone 7 & 7 Plus for beginners. You are by far the most understandable RUclipsr of explaining what they are doing but I still need more explanation and maybe a guide or steps to follow for trouble shooting and short finding. I think there are already good videos explaining basics like Ohms law but for phone repair it seems to be all just screen changing etc and then a huge jump to advanced stuff with jumpers. You are the man. Please do a more in depth version of this video aimed at beginners as if I am ever to get my head around this I think you are my best chance!

Hey Baba! whats the flux name that you are using. One that I have dries quick when hit with heat and it bubbles so it moves the damn ic components around.

Can you replace a micro usb connector? It’s on a circuit board from a drone controller and I just can’t see that small stuff anymore. The board is pulled already

Thanks. I thought so too until I seen some of the videos that Union Repair posted and then Rossmann's revisit. Some of them are looking very useful for iPhone PCBs.
I'm very new to this and finding it hard to get some good info on the basics. Really helpful video here about shorts in general, but I'm trying to fix a tablet right now, and trying to determine if the board has a short.
When I hook up the DC supply, I'm getting 0.6A going through the circuit. Is this normal? Sorry for bothering you with a question already. New subscriber here

hi, i replaced my rear case on my iphone7. since then it wont charge anymore. when the iphone 7 is turned off and i plug it in, it does turn on. so there is a connection. it just wont charge anymore. what could be wrong ?

I sent my iPhone 7 Plus off to be fixed they sent back saying it was the pmic that it was heating up immediately once power was put to it I guess so the deemed it non repairable should I get a new phone or try some where else

Thank u! It's much much brighter here. Aside from being a newer structure than before, I get a lot of sunlight coming in. The sunlight mixed with fake light can be a challenge for recording tho.

Hello, no idea where to contact you so i'll do it here. I've got à problem with my iPhone 6 plus and please, help!
Let me explain : I can not run it, when i try to charge it it goes in an infinite boot loop, when i plugged it into the PC to try to fix it with iTunes (in DFU Mode), all was good until it disconnects itself while trying to switch to recovery mode..
Impossible to run it without plugging it to charge (+it goes in an infinite boot loop)
What should i do? Open it.. check battery & connections ?

Freezespray is always so easy to find a short, but yours wasn't really freezing. And i also use airduster to do it, because its a hell of a lot cheaper to get here. your board should look like there is snow everywhere.

I don't have any Apple products either thank God. But I know somebody with an iPhone 7 with the same problem I'm assuming because they can't get their phone to turn on charge changed the battery still not working still won't turn on All the data on the phone gone. I am so happy I do not have anything Apple related.

Cormac Pyper this thing will never die! It's been making a bit more vibration than before though. When it's cooling down, it distorts the microscope some.
haha ya they are very noisy on th cool down Paul mentioned that's one of the biggest differences he noticed was how quiet the quick is compared to this, those presets r tempting to me though :D im gonna buy one at some point :D

21:56 I was practicing on an old iPhone 4S and blew out the balls on the PMIC, NAND and CPU (which was on the other side). What temperature/air combination should I use in the future to avoid this (I was using 450 degC with 60 air on a Quick).
I use 380C and 40 on airflow for almost everything. I could easily overheat the board if I held the nozzle too close for too long though.
i have a quick and i use 365c and 80 air flow,enough to get the bga and caps off but not too much that it blows stuff away.30 seconds and i can have a nand off and 10 seconds for a cap.450c has prob damaged your board beyond repair for a guess im sorry to say.

Thanks. Most duster can serve as decent freeze spray other than the taste. The stuff in this video is horribly junk tho. :D
STS Telecom I use Liqui Moly -40°C freeze spray and it works realy great and last long so you have time to connect the power and see what's heating up befpre the spray evaporates :D
