For the chord progression behind the lead, Hardwell actually uses the Big Fifth preset and he just automates the cutoff. He said he uses it a lot

Try using the ASIO4ALL drivers, then open up the ASIO panel and crank the buffer length to the right. Then go back to the audio settings and change the playback tracking offset to be all the way to the right as well. If you don't have ASIO4ALL, just max out the primary buffer length and make sure the buffer length offset is at 0%. That should minimize underruns :)

well for one, i wasnt on asio, i had primary sound driver active to record my mic, and second i had 10 minutes and barely got in the melody.. how am i supposed to worry about mixing in that constraint?

The Sound Bank AND Preset for the MAIN Chords go to... Factory Vol .. the go to Preset 42 - LD Big Fifth.... Go to Filter A turn the Cutoff down just a little bit... go to filter control and turn cutoff all the way down... you will start to hear that it sounds like spaceman.. so once you get it in the settings you can mess around on how you like or thing sounds good to you... if you want that sound where the sound starts to open up.. just turn up the cutoff and it will bring that opening up sound!! Have fun!

at 3:58, you switch from Hov royale to z3ta+2. When you click on piano roll you can see the notes from Hov royale still there. When I do the exact same I get a new piano roll but I can't see the notes from the Hov Royale. How can I fix this?

One of my teachers told me if I want to produce music I have to Know lots of math to get all the keys and measures right.... I dont know alot about math I just follow my heart... I dont create the music my heart does :)
MizoryOfficial You really don't need to know so much math. You just need a 6th sense. It's called rhythm, and not every one has it.
you dont "need" it, but it does help when you know what you actually doing instead of wasting ur time on trial\error.

Well my best advice to you is to play music. Like piano is the best option for producer hence why there is a piano roll in fl studio (just an example) but yeah the best solution would be to play an instrument and after a while you'll get the ear for this kinda' stuff. :)
