Some beginners are usually curious about what books they should get and what kind of pieces they can learn. Since I’ve been following Alfred’s Premier Piano Course books, I think it will be interesting to keep a record of those pieces and also make Synthesia style videos with them 😃 what books do/did you use when you first started playing the piano? 🎵
Thanks Gv! I'm trying to find a way to create this type of content more frequently. It's a lot of fun but it's also hard to find the time for it :) how do you optimize your time?
Gotta love the set of notes/intervals that make this sound Egyptian! I don't remember playing this on the Alfred's book though. Then again I only completed the very first one
Yeah, it's cool how little things make a song/piece feel so distinct 🙂 maybe you don't remember it because this is the "premier piano course" and not the more popular Alfred basic course. I am currently changing to those All-in-one Adult books which seems to be what a lot of people use. That's interesting to know! What made you stop following the books? Got bored of them?
Thanks Peter 😉 there several details I'm not happy about in this video actually, but sometimes "done is better than perfect" and I really wanted to learn how to make something like this 🙂 btw, I actually wanted to ask you a question about the alfred books (the ones you used were the all-in-one ones right?). I noticed they all say they com with a CD, but who uses CDs nowadays? lol do you know if after you buy them there is a way to have that content digitally instead?
@@Lifetap always best just to get a piece at 90% or so at the beginning, don't worry about doing 100%. I find that (in simple terms) if it takes me 15 hours to get a piece to 90%, it would take 30-40 to get it to 100% and I will grow a lot more as a musician if I just learn a different piece. Make sure you don't have big gaps in your playing and move on :) I know exactly what you mean - some book publishers know that and have a digital version on a website - unsure if Alfred does that. However, the all in one books are so popular that you probably will find everything on youtube.
haha awesome. Peter is great!! I have been following this alfred premiere piano course but I'm considering changing to the alfred all-in-one adult books to have everything together in a single book 🤔 which ones do you use?
I’ve got heaps of separate ones 🤣I first got the Alfred lesson book 3 (Alfreds Basic Piano Library) by chance second hand and then I realised it had matching technic and recital books (and a Xmas book!). I also got the level 2 and 4s. I think the All in one sounds great, I just didn’t notice it in time haha! Oh then I noticed the series you are using here (premier piano course) and I’ve got the levels 2,3 and 4. I’m on 3
This is a very good video. Please can you upload more Alfred pieces like this from the same book or maybe lesson book 2A? I know lots of beginner pianists who would be interested in this.
Hey Alex, I'm actually planning on doing more alfred pieces videos, probably starting in a few weeks. However, I am now using the Alfred Adult All-in-one books, instead of the Alfred Premiere Piano Course. A lot of the songs seem to be the same though :) don't forget to subscribe to see those videos when they come out!
Hey Brandon, glad you think so! You have some info in the video description if you're curious, or you can read all about it here: lifetap.net/alfred-pieces-visualization/ 🙂
@@brandoncjgrimes for sure! It took me quite some time to learn how to do this, but information is out there spread across the internet. I am thinking about doing a much more in depth tutorial on how to achieve this. I gave it a try here (lifetap.net/how-to-create-piano-visualization-videos-with-particles/) but I have learned a few tricks since, and I continue to learn everytime I try to do this. Best of luck mate :) looking forward to your future stuff

Bruno M - Lifetap Piano - Alfreds Premier (the CD as backing track is awesome) and the regular Alfreds too. Love their structured approach
Alfreds premier piano course. OK! I've got it

Bruno's Piano Project I put the cd in my computer and downloaded all the songs to ITunes so I can hear all the music from my phone

@@Lifetap that TV series was most popular during my childhood 2008-2013 (approximately). At that time you had something else I suppose
The tutorial isn’t really accurate, it is harder to figure what note you are playing rather than the song itself.
