Well I think this will be one of my favourite videos . A beautiful kite matched to a beautiful peice of music. This must be a first on You Tube for this colour variant of the Bow kite and you captured it flying at its best. I look forward one day soon to see it up close.
Finally got one 'pre-owned'. Had to replace a vertical leading edge spar ( as had a crack) and this is 5.5mm carbon. Unobtanium now. Luckily had a piece in my spare spar bag that was 20mm too long. It's usually the other way round ha ha. Now all good !!!!
I have the blue one....I think they're identical except for the color. I've had mine for years now but plan to fly it at a local kite festival next month.
Michael, for a long time the blue one was all that was available, until it was "re-issued" in the yellow version four years ago. That seemed much more popular than the blue as it's much brighter, of course, so it makes me wonder why they didn't have it available all the time. I hope you have fun at the festival and that the wind cooperates.
I really like this kite. It may be my last purchase. I have so many novelty kites now it's bordering on mental, but this one is a truly unique kite that can't be overlooked.
+lionharehart I hope you can find one. I heard that HQ Kites only brought 8 of them into the USA, of which I had one, but I guess there will be more available in Europe where HQ is based.
I have this kite; it's beautiful against a blue sky. I'm having trouble getting mine up; as soon as it gets up a few meters it wants to spin like hands on a clock. I've tried with the included weight and without, tried adjusting the connection point of the line to increase and decrease the angle of attack, but still get the same behavior. I suspect the problem is one of two things: 1) The lines on the sides used to keep the horizontal planes evenly spaced are uneven, 2) my flying location has too many cross-winds caused by trees and buildings. I need to take it to the beach where there's a good laminar wind off the lake with less turbulance to rule out #2.
Erik, it's definitely a kite that prefers smooth winds. I do most of my flying on the beach in on-shore winds, and it does well. The weight bag can be adjusted by removing (carefully) some of the contents to allow more fine-tuning. When you hit the sweet spot the Bow is a good flier, but certainly not the easiest kite.
That's a unique one for sure.
+The Basicbill Channel Sure is, Bill, and a real beauty.

+Kite flying DownUnder.... Carl Gillard You really want one of these, don't you, Carl? Maybe you'll get mine when I'm gone.

Well done! I hope you have a lot of fun with it (when the weather allows!)

+Jim Nicholls. Didn't take very long and now I have my own Sunrise Bow!!
Well done, and have fun flying it!
Looks great
It's a lovely kite, Ken. I must fly it again soon. I've had it in my car for months without using it.
I would absolutely love to fly this but its out of my price range. Very cool kite though
It's a lovely kite, but can be a bit temperamental - it really needs smooth wind to do its best.
Mer-Sea ............ 👍

the answer is 2, i have similar cross winds hampering my bow kite, so we both need a beach with smooth even winds, :^}D
