This thing legitimately terrified me as a kid. When it transformed I panicked and started flipping out. IT'S TOO DAMN INTENSE. It's a terrific boss though and really deep when you research the connections between Cepheus and Andromeda in mythology.
This is the only final boss in the Star Force series, heck, any Mega Man game, that transforms without getting a new body entirely. Reminded me so much of Transformers. Favorite. Boss. Ever.
This theme is actually ingenious in context to the game. When it first starts playing, it gives off the ominous and suspenseful vibes that would make Andromeda even more intimidating then he would be. However, when it shifts into the climax of the song, it shows how confident Geo has gotten over the game and will use the power of the starforce to stop anyone who will threatens his friend and family.
+BaconCheezeBurgerz And for me, its starting to invoke some kind of feeling involving Mega too. Like you are going up against the very thing that took away EVERYTHING from him. His race, his home, his family(wished they touched on that), everything he hold dear was lost because of that essential embodiment of loneliness. It caused him to suffer the agony of being alone for all those years.
Probably one of the bosses that scared me the most when I was a kid Not because it looked scary But because god damnit that music made it so stressful !!!! And it was one of the best boss ever :)
Let me take ya'll back to 2009, when I fought against andromeda. I was severely under leveled in terms of HP. I was garbage at battle. And what's worse is I didnt know how to change out cards in your folder. Which means I was stuck using the same damn cards from the start of the game. Needless to say the buster was my friend throughout this entire fight
Awww, man!!!!! Don't say something that harsh to you, man! When I played this game, it reminded me of Megaman Battle Network alot. I know the skills, using the right battlecards, editing folders for stronger foes, combos, weaknesses, and the opponent's fighting style. Once when you lived and learned over certain things, then you'll feel lucky.
I just beat this thing for the first time, and I didn't have LeoKingdom SP equipped D: The pain was almost physical, because I was at level 44. What made it hurt even more is that using the transformation chip is a GREAT way to get hit by meteorites >:( 9/10 game, the final boss is ACTUALLY HARD XD
This theme comes in two parts that can actually loop pretty well if done right and each fit well with Andromeda. The first part seems to be a sad tone that derives from loneliness, complete with a distorted choir, or whatever it is. That choir is the reason for the first part. It sounds like Andromeda is lonely and sorrowful and all this is even proven by Omega-Xis' statement, and I quote "At its center is a ball of loneliness" of course referring to Andromeda. The skull-like shape of Andromeda definitely represents that sadness and loneliness. When Andromeda transforms into its stronger state, the second part kicks in. The second part gives off more of an enraged tone that is represented when Andromeda becomes stronger, definitely giving off the fact that since its attacks are so strong, and the kinds of attacks it uses, Andromeda is in an enraged state after being attacked by Geo and Omega-Xis and all it wants now is to destroy, destroy, destroy. Anyway, these are just my thoughts on the piece. No offense to any of you that think differently.
+CadCreCachoo And it gives off some kind of feeling for me too. Involving Omega-Xis. Facing off against the very thing that took away everything he hold dear and made him suffer the agony of loneliness for many years.
@@cadcrewcachoo +CadCrewCachoo Think it can also reflects a bit on how Omega-Xis is facing off against the thing that caused him to be "alone" for all those years? Like the fact he probably thought for a long time he was the last remaining AM-ian(until he found out about the Satellite Admins). Kind of wished they showed us visually on how things went for him in the past. Like how he reacted about when his home planet got destroyed.
I restarted my game after losing to Andromeda repeatedly. Reasons? 1: I never realized I could swap the cards in my deck. 2: I didn't know I could switch Mega's buster. 3: I didn't know that by pressing Y I could fucking block.
Jesus crist I honestly cannot believe I beat this fucking thing on my first try I was so low on HP because I just kept getting hit by everything and also keep forgetting that blocking is a thing in this game, it was a complete mess for me and I somehow won.
Andromeda was supposedly the hardest boss..... but, I took a dump on it- crushed it better than I did ANY of the SP bosses, with the exception of probably TaurusFire Sp.
Yeah, I just beaten Andromeda today, and all that I did was just use a fuckton of my strongest chips at it and only save my Star Force card (I'm playing Leo version btw, if it helps) when Andromeda was close to dying; even had time to nail him with a SFB for a more cinematic finish haha it did hit pretty hard tho, not to mention it was pretty hard to dodge his attacks at times; I may have cheated a bit too by using save states, but then again I've used them so much that I can't really control myself, even when I don't really need to save state :V also, I haven't fought his Infinity version yet, and if I do I'm doing it after I beat the other two SF games since I'm mostly playing to see what I've been missing, especially when it comes to the story and characters lol
@@heycunt7186 I did too lmao; he may seem hard, but if you have strong enough cards (or whatever they're called; I still just treat them as BattleChips since I'm too much of a MMBN nerd lol) and use the Mega Attack thingy if you have enough Sword cards, he's easy it can be hard to dodge it's attacks and all, but he also has a fairly readable pattern which, like all Megaman bosses, can be exploited once you manage to figure it out ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

CactusErebittsu i guess Cepheus & Andromeda in mythology are husbad & wife
If you know what i mean
*english are not my primary language*
It is a nice connection with Andromeda being the daughter of Cepheus in mythology

Actually, andromeda it's cepheus' daughter

Crimson Dragon in Star Force 3 transforms... sort of. Grows more heads, more like.
@@LightStreak567 It grows and regenerates its head, not transforming.
@@LightStreak567 I was today years old when I realized Crimson Dragon is the Hydra constellation

A little detail about this track that I really like is that the melody sounds similar to the FM-ians theme, like from 0:14.

That's character development if I've seen it.
How do they even come up with themes like this, seriously its crazy the effort and love that went to MMSF

This boss... I was down to one flipping card because of this thing.. and it was an attack plus >:O
I feel you
Keep fighting! Trust in your bonds!
Trust in your buster.
I know your pain. I didn't have the LeoKingdomSP and every battle card I used made me a target :(
This was a MASSIVE spike in difficulty. At least it was climactic for a final boss. (and I had 700 hp!)
