I wish you happy days and hope you never feel the need to call them again, and if you do that they will not put you on hold.

It’s not even a suicide hotline when they just put you on hold and don’t prevent a death like what happened to many people calling? Just get more people or stop because your doing nothing other people should atleast try working
if you also noticed, before the second verse, right after the chorus, he very faintly goes “ uh no, i’ll try again though.” very sad considering that could be a way of saying that they have kept this person on hold for way to long or even hung up, and they decide to try again.

Context: the song talks about a woman who had depression, but a man motivated her to feel better, in the end the girl stops answering the calls, which gives us to understand that she committed suicide

This song Is about a girl who was on the verge of commiting suicide, she tried calling the suicide prevention hotline, but they left her on hold. And by the time they tried calling her back, she has already killed herself. And at the end u hear “someday I will go back outside and see her ok” this Is because she used to collect quarters, and he wishes to go outside and see her collecting more quarters.
oh yea, and the person that answered was super new and didn't know what to do, like you would think they gave them more practice, its a persons life you're dealing with
I think he was using the weird stuff to represent what was going on cuz the whole point of the phone was cuz everyone hung up the phone when his girlfriend was gonna kill herself and tried to call people to say bye
I feel so bad for Jack and having to go through that kind of loss. Suicide is horrible, and when people who love you find out that you’ve died it’s worse. To anyone out there having thoughts of it, please don’t. There are plenty of people out there that love you, and even if you don’t think so, everything will be ok. ❤❤
when I heard the song it was but a insignificant meme now I found this short and realize in the comments it was about a girl that was put on hold. The number was a suicide help line, she was on hold for an hour and by then she had already killed herself.
Explanation: The song is describing the story of a man and his wife, and his wife is suicidal but scared to do it. “Baby Hotline” refers to the man telling his wife to call the suicide hotline, “Hoarder of Quarters” is the quarters needed to put in a pay phone, she is hoarding them because the suicide hotline won’t pick up so she needs a lot of quarters to keep trying, “No boundary boredom” means that she is restricting herself from what she can achieve because she has set low goals for herself, meaning she can do more with her life than what she is actually doing, but she doesn’t believe in herself, so she isn’t trying, “I insist somebody will die and I hate hoping” means that he knows his wife will most likely commit suicide, and he hates thinking about when it will happen. “I contend that your drinking eye has never opened” refers to the fact that the depression makes her drink more and she blacks out often. By the time the suicide hotline finally calls back, she has already committed suicide. This is why you hear a gunshot after every verse, and also why at the end he says “One day I will go back outside and see her okay” meaning that this song takes place after his wife has committed suicide. (Gimme some likes for the effort)
@@TBBave Ok, so lemme get this straight, clearly the man and woman have some sort of friendship (or else why would he even talk about it or tell her to call the hotline) he also calls her baby, now you might be a weirdo, but I don’t call my female FRIENDS baby, but that might just be me. But yeah next time keep your opinion bubbled up.
what makes it even more sad is the fact that at the end of the song for like 10 secs its just a phone ringing, which shows that jack staubers wife was actually calling and calling the hotline again
For ppl who don’t know what they mean basically the song “baby hotline” is about a girl who calls 988 (suicidal number) and she uses quarters every time she calls so when she’s walking she picks up quarters to call the hotline and the hotline puts her on hold because they decided to eat smth and the girl kept on calling them with her quarters but they putting her on hold and when they finally finish having their snack they try calling her but she already k!lled herself, and the lines “someday i will go back outside and see her okay” means that they go outside each day and hope they see her okay (this is not mine but hope it helps 😊)
For the people who don’t understand it was about a girl feeling suicidal and she called a suicidal hotline and they kept on putting her on hold and then she just killed her self
@@Makten14 indeed, once I heard the news I was like... "Then the song was irrelevant if that was the story behind it, it would rather be sad than groovy and an absolute banger
I used to volunteer with the suicide prevention lifeline. Most nights it was me and one other person in a call center servicing 40 counties. The basic math of the situation requires that some people end up on hold, waiting their turn in the queue for someone to talk to. Its not uncommon for multiple callers to pile up and some of them end up hanging up before we could get to them. That said you always try your best everyday to help as many people as you can with the sparse resources you have available to you.
So basically some girl called the suicide hotline unfortunately the person who answered was not very good at dealing with suicidal people. He put her on hold for 20 minutes and she shot herself after
So While the official meaning and story of the song has not been confirmed by Jack, the most popular theory about Baby Hotline from most fans is that the song is about a woman calling the suicide hotline, specifically from a payphone, with "baby hotline" being a metaphor for said hotline. The song is being sung from the perspective of both the woman calling said hotline and the responder on the other side of the phone. Hotline Caller: The beginning of the song portrays the singer wanting to call the hotline and be "close to it", but the responder does not take them
no, it wasn’t his girlfriend and the true meaning of the song has not been revealed. the rumors and theories are all just speculation. yeah, the theory makes sense about the song talking about a depressed woman being put on hold by the sui hotline, but it isn’t about his dead girlfriend. that’s just made up.
At 12 I started having suicidal thoughts, luckily my fear of blood has prevented me from doing anything but I remember trying to jump off from a window and my mother stopping me (also other various failed attempts), it was only at 17 that I got a diagnosis for depression and finally got he help I needed. Not everyone can wait this long, as the weight on one's shoulders is different for everyone and sometimes only minutes determine a person's fate.
@@Melikesleep1I was very lucky, hd to pester my parents (they didn’t believe in mental illnesses before this), but then were very supportive and helped me a lot. Still, those who see that something is wrong should act as soon as possible. Well, this applies to any situation, though.
I tried to drown myself so many times as a kid but kept stopping when everything started feeling surreal and not painful that I just got better lung capacity hahaha
I was also suicidal at 12. I was put into a mental hospital for attempting and they would often emotionally abuse the patients. I remember the fitness "teacher" bullying an 8 year old because she was overweight but she told me she tried to k!ll herself at 8 because her family body shamed her (she was so sweet) and that was pretty traumatizing because they would yell at you for extremely little things. 💔
As a HUGE Jack Stauber fan, this is my explanation to those who dont know. It's not really about love or a girlfriend. It's about a loved one, yes, but she tried calling the su1c1de hotline and they left her on hold like you heard in the full verison 'hung up and put on hold' and it might even be a refrence of n00s3 c0mm1t1ng. It's about a woman who used to go outside and collect quarters and talk about them with Jack (jack representing the relative). 'Someday I will go back outside and see her okay' because she would be outside on a daily collecting quarters like I said. He is processing the loss of her. 'Please hold me close to you' referring to the loved one. Possibly not a girlfriend. Possibly his sister or mother. 'Baby flat line' flat lines occur when someone's heart stops and they d1e. 'I insist somebody will d1e' he knew she would c0mm1t. 'Wishing that the pills let you cry' may refer to 0verd0s3 based su1c1d3. There is my explanation. None of that 'she cheated on him' nonsense please, its deeper than that.
It's not just a song he's girlfriend was going to kill herself and she called the people that will tell her to not kill herself but they hang up...

Nothing has to do with a husband and wife it's just that she got held on hold for too long and shot her self that's what
Jack doesnt even have a wife or gf bruh-
@@TBBave Ok, so lemme get this straight, clearly the man and woman have some sort of friendship (or else why would he even talk about it or tell her to call the hotline) he also calls her baby, now you might be a weirdo, but I don’t call my female FRIENDS baby, but that might just be me. But yeah next time keep your opinion bubbled up.

At the start: this is not that scary 🤗 when I see this girl: 😞🙄
Man Jack Stauber really needs a hug tbh
FR. **magically hugs Jack**
He's just like that no need to worry
what makes it even more sad is the fact that at the end of the song for like 10 secs its just a phone ringing, which shows that jack staubers wife was actually calling and calling the hotline again
Or the hotline was calling back either his wife or a women but she already committed suicide...
It is bout a women calling suicide hotline but whaere did they get baby hotline
@@Thatretrokidgt prob it was his wife or something idk
It not his wife
@@fharper8457 im pretty sure it was his wife or girlfriend but im only saying what i have heard
According to the Jack Stuarber wiki there was a girl trying to commit a suicidal hotline specifically from a payphone. Hope this helped
I genuinely thought on the Google page that this was made 563 years ago.
I already know the story but this song is Soo fire
Ohhhh my god
I felt bad 👎
@@JinipirV13no it’s not it’s scares
This song would be a banger if the lyrics was less you know
It’s so sad that when he said “some day I will go back in time and see her okay…” he’s talking about his girlfriend killing herself
For the people who don’t understand it was about a girl feeling suicidal and she called a suicidal hotline and they kept on putting her on hold and then she just killed her self
Jack stauber is the only person to have a voice crack on cry
I didn’t know this until yesterday I told my friend I really liked this song and the next day she brings me those damn news-
Jack stauber has denied that teory a bunch of Times
@@Makten14 indeed, once I heard the news I was like... "Then the song was irrelevant if that was the story behind it, it would rather be sad than groovy and an absolute banger

Team people who know but didn't turn into a FNaF character💀
I used to volunteer with the suicide prevention lifeline. Most nights it was me and one other person in a call center servicing 40 counties. The basic math of the situation requires that some people end up on hold, waiting their turn in the queue for someone to talk to. Its not uncommon for multiple callers to pile up and some of them end up hanging up before we could get to them. That said you always try your best everyday to help as many people as you can with the sparse resources you have available to you.
Dang
You worked for the blue whale company… 😳
U did it best...
I called the suicide hotline once and I was telling this lady what was happening and she said “womp womp”
And hung up,
@@Lover_life_is_lonely Damn, that lady had no shame
So basically some girl called the suicide hotline unfortunately the person who answered was not very good at dealing with suicidal people. He put her on hold for 20 minutes and she shot herself after
Never happened.
Cap
@mrs foxxy nobody has proof it even happened
The song is about someone who isn't related to him in the slightest
@mrs foxxy creator never sent proof to nothin, also incidents*
Me still vibing on the song:
So
While the official meaning and story of the song has not been confirmed by Jack, the most popular theory about Baby Hotline from most fans is that the song is about a woman calling the suicide hotline, specifically from a payphone, with "baby hotline" being a metaphor for said hotline. The song is being sung from the perspective of both the woman calling said hotline and the responder on the other side of the phone.
Hotline Caller: The beginning of the song portrays the singer wanting to call the hotline and be "close to it", but the responder does not take them
Context:
The song is based on someone commiting suicide
Edit:
Previous info was wrong
no, it wasn’t his girlfriend and the true meaning of the song has not been revealed. the rumors and theories are all just speculation. yeah, the theory makes sense about the song talking about a depressed woman being put on hold by the sui hotline, but it isn’t about his dead girlfriend. that’s just made up.
You really don’t have to make up stories for Jack’s songs to be dark. A lot of them already are dark in general without having to dig too deep.

The fact that everytime i scroll in a RUclips short i see this song😊
At 12 I started having suicidal thoughts, luckily my fear of blood has prevented me from doing anything but I remember trying to jump off from a window and my mother stopping me (also other various failed attempts), it was only at 17 that I got a diagnosis for depression and finally got he help I needed.
Not everyone can wait this long, as the weight on one's shoulders is different for everyone and sometimes only minutes determine a person's fate.
Wow I feel good for you that you were abele to get the help you needed
@@Melikesleep1I was very lucky, hd to pester my parents (they didn’t believe in mental illnesses before this), but then were very supportive and helped me a lot. Still, those who see that something is wrong should act as soon as possible.
Well, this applies to any situation, though.
the only thing keeping me alive from when I was seven to now is my extremely low tolerance to physical pain, so I completely understand.
This.... makes more sense condolence to that person...
the gunshot represents her pulling the trigger
