Hey sir. Can you do a video about different techniques/approach/style in marching snare? There's no vid in yt discussing about that
Dude, this is an awesome instructional video! Thanks!
Glad you enjoyed it man!!
Excellent job breaking this down! Best description I’ve seen on learning this troublesome grip.
Excellent video much thanks 🙏
I didn't know the most important fingers are the middle and the index finger this is a good introduction video thank you and how do you I see people playing fast without using the index finger that's the one question I have
...yes, the thumb position as « in » our closed is very important. The stick will move with the hand rotation. Excellent video. Thanks
Hey man, thanks for the video! Helps me a lot to teach to my students! Shout out from Indonesia!
Is it wrong to use your right hand instead of your left? I'm trying to work on it but I have a weak left hand.
yes it is, over time you'll get better, there's lots of warmups to help you with that :)
Do i have to use traditional grip? I want to join a drumline but i use traditional grip
...great demonstration; have the stick « one » with hand : any turn of hand turns stick-total control...after awhile it becomes relaxed...
I have found that the pinky finger is not just along for the ride on my right hand, but in fact it's the strongest finger and is very important for up strokes.
I’m a quad player in the center at sophmore lol but I just want to use this to gain more chops at writing snare as it is my dream to write or educate a line
What drumsticks do you recommend for beginners?
Question: Is it true if you have long skinny fingers you can't use this grip with thin sticks? With thin sticks I can do the first step exercise using only the thumb. As soon as I add my index finger like 10:42, the hole that locks the stick gets loose and no longer able to hold the stick in place.
