I know this was from over 3 years ago but just used this razor for the first time. Quite impressed. Already own many razors including some high end ones. This is right up at the top. Love it. Saw Razor Emporium's Matt Pisarcik's video .. he said it was one of the few razors he was actually going to take home.
I just want to say that you are absolutely precious!! I'm an amateur to shaving because I wax but with travelling so much, it's handy to bring along a razor and I wanted to support a brand that is more sustainable for the environment (no plastics). Was looking for reviews on Supply Vs Leaf and came across your video. Glad I decided to watch it. I loved your review...just as if you were talking to a close friend. Very much appreciate the start to finish, from the unboxing and especially with you showing the loading of the blade for the first time (made me less nervous about the product). I don't need a razor for my face (thank goodness) but I definitely would trust a blaze on my legs if it's good enough for someone's face. Thanks so much for the awesome review....now off to check out your Leaf video next. If you have a preference between the two or have a pros and cons list for them, would love to know! Love & Light
Ken. I have had problems with that razor. When you inject a razor blade the blade does NOT insert into the razor completely. The blade overhangs on the injector side. How do I know? I really cut myself badly on the first use. On closer examination, I found that every time I injected a new blade, regardless of the manufacturer, the blade would not seat properly. The only way around this is to loosen up the nut with the spring and push the blade to the left in order to seat it correctly. Then you are good to go. I got the same seating-problems when I tried to use the Schick Injector blades. Check it out and you will see what I mean. Other than that I like to razor...it gives great shaves. Hope you find this of interest. I don't mean to bad-mouth that razor but I have to tell you my experience..
Don't take out the dummy blade before injecting a new blade for first time. For everyone asking about putting in a new blade etc. You can unscrew the head to totally clean and dry and replace the same blade back in without having to use the injector, thus saving your blade to continue using. If you try to inject a new blade without the blank in or no blade, you will ruin the new blade. The blades last a long time. I can get away with just one pass on my leg with this razor ATG.
Watched several reviews on this and your video sold me the most. This is going to be my first single edge injector razor. Thank you! Do you recommend getting the Personna blades after being done with the include ones?
Dear Ken, I just wanted to drop a line and say thank you for your videos and for sharing all this useful information. I was a bit disappointed to hear that your son is using a cartridge razor, but let's talk about that in about 15-16 years when my son will be shaving (he is 1 year old now), provided that I will manage to convince him that DE razors are better. Anyhow, Salutations from a Greek wet shaving bloke living in Qatar. :)
I'm a barber and I'll be honest usually i hate shaving channels just cause I do shaves all day i dont really enjoy watching people do it on my free time. However I stumbled on your channel a couple of days ago and really enjoyed it. Keep it up!
From a guy who wave to shave 5 days a week: - I’ve used that razor about a year. It’s a fancy razor, BUT, not even close a good razor to shave. That’s like old fashion and for grandpa’s that have time because you have to be careful. I use the Gillette Heated razor. That’s the one for a close shave and secure shave by far.
Maan you really enjoy shaving 🪒 i just ordered the “OneBlade” hoping it’ll make shaving a lot more enjoyable. Irritated skin, bumps, razor burns... i hate it atm. Good video
Great shave. The Supply Edge is on my list of must-have razors because of this great review. I should try an injector razor to see how it works. I heard the song James Dean once on the radio when the classic rock station played it, and besides that, the Eagles also have great songs like Hotel California which is my favorite Eagles song. Can't wait to see another shave video from you
Okay… things have changed for me since my comments below. There are 2 SE razors I am considering….The Suppy (reviewed here), and The Leaf Twig. You have used both. Both have more than one option for blades but twig has more and Schick blades are not an option for me. Either of these would have a learning curve for me. This will be my first non-cartridge razor. From what I have said here, and if you were in my position which would you choose or do you have a different recommendation?
This may be a dumb question but why did you do a second pass with the razor? Is this because its a single blade? I'm new to this "real" shaving game, any tips will help. Thanks for the great review, subscribed!
I am one of your potential converts. I have been using a Gillette Sensor 3 and blades are becoming harder to find and you are right... the cartridges are expensive! I do not like any of the newer cartridge razors. They just don’t work well for me. I like the style of the injection razor because it is similar to what I have, but I do not like Schick blades! Are there other injection style razors and blades? Other razors of similar style even if they aren’t injection?
It was based on this particular review that I bought this razor and never looked back! I'd like to see a shave by shave comparison to the old schick injector
Hi Ken. I currently have a king c Gillette razor and the bevel. Looking at getting something else. I am between the henson, rockwell 6c or this Supply. Any suggestions you have to help in my decision?
I just saw a video that showed this razor along with a few other razors I also had not heard of. After I watched it, you came up. I like your reviews and agree with you about the 5 blade cartridges! I tried a few and just don’t like any of them! I currently have a Gillette Sensor using the 3 blade cartridge. I know you are not a fan, but for me the angle of the head and narrow cartridge does a great job for me. Problem is the cartridges are becoming harder to find even on Amazon! My fear with any single blade razor is that it is going to nick me every which way! That said, I am considering trying one. This and another I saw... the Beluga (spelling?) razor are my contenders at the moment. Thoughts? Update... upon further research, the Beluga is no longer available. Too bad! I liked the idea behind it!
It's a very well constructed razor and came in great packaging; I really liked the heft and stainless steel construction (I opted for the matte finish). I'll preface that I'm new to DE shaving (got a Merkur last year) and been using the Defender 3-blade as a daily shower shaver. Only shaved with it twice (both with the "normal" setting, their shave cream and a shave oil from Defender); first time with a week's worth of beard and had to make several with the grain passes to get anything off, nicked my neck (Adam's Apple, my usual spot). I think it was a poor shave as I must've "rolled" the edge of the blade on one of the blade stops (don't ask how I managed that since it's a keyed and there's only one way it goes). Second time I loosened the set screw (tip I found on RUclips) and tried another blade and managed to lacerate my chin pretty good going cross-grain. Part of me really does like the razor but I'm carving my face like a jack 'o lantern; taking my time and trying to find the angle; it's much easier to find on my Merkur. Sadly I'm waiting for shipping and return information since shaving shouldn't be a complicated (blade loading) or painful (lacerations) process.
Can you do a comparison between the Shave Pro V2 and the Rockwell C6. My concern is that the SP V2 does not have as many Blade options as a DE. Also, the C6 has 6 different gaps as opposed to 3.
Good review of what looks like an excellent razor Ken. I too have some vintage Schick injector razors and a couple of Colonial General single edge razors that see very little use. I might have to give the Supply razor a try.
Hi Ken- Great razor review; thank you! The Supply razor looks quite nice and seems to move over the angles of your face very smoothly and efficiently. It’s nice to see the return of “Prep”! You introduced me to this product and I also use it for minor skin irritations and blemishes- it works great. Love those Wild West Brush Works brushes- I was lucky to score one a few weeks ago and it’s just fantastic. Hope you have a great 4th of July! Best regards!
Hi Ken, I am a head shaver. I have been using a Mach 3 but recently have been experiencing breakouts and bumps. Would you recomend the Supply Razor or a DE? I heard that less blades might help my case. Thanks
Excellent review. This razor caught my eye due to the different heads. I imagine the sensitive head would be a good choice for me, at least at first. I’ve always cut myself with these types of razors in the past, maybe this one would work for me.
Thanks for sharing the review, Ken. I have several vintage Schick injectors from the 1940's - 1950's. They are still great razors. How does this Supply razor compare to those? Thanks again!
Ken: If you can find one, I would like to see a test of the 1972 Wilkinson Bonded system. It was the first cartridge razor and an evolution of the injector. The cartridge held exactly one blade and did not pivot in any direction. The result was close, smooth, and far less bloody than a DE. After the Wilkinson was on the market for a few months, Gillette introduced the Trac II. I would like your judgement of the Wilkinson.
Amazing shave Ken👍I'll look into that razor in the Futur. Just purchased a 1958 D4 Fatboy and very excited to try. Btw would you still consider using in a video the CVS version of Skin Bracer, Blade Brisk? I know I asked you a while back, but you might've forgot. Have a Happy 4th and keep on having great shaves 👍
Awesome review, sir! You are one of those persons that it is fun to talk and listen to. I tell you some': You really made me consider buying it. Btw, say hello to Monty? for me. Lol! I love dogs! I want to hug them all!
Ken, also try the Razorock Mk2 Hawk, got one recently, gives the same class of quality shave as the supply. Takes the Kai/Feather type blade. Recommended.
JR Reyes Thanks JR! Living in Texas means I have to pay sales tax so I'm not in a huge hurry. But I appreciate the information. Do you have one of these yourself?
Hi Ken, what are your thoughts on how to clean the supply razor. With DE blades the norm is not to leave the blade in the razor out of rusting concerns. I know you can remove the bottom plate, but how hard or awkward is getting the blade back in?
Nice! Looks good there Ken. Razor is a beauty. Congrats on the Aqua Velva score. Yeah, I got mine from PAA, but I see they're sold out at the moment. Aftershave in a spray...come on..lol. Love that burn. Enjoy the 4th!
I saw your “old spice original shaving cream” video and i wanted to ask if it can be used on sensitive skin? Also, can you talk about your tattoos? They look super cool!
Let's just hope this Razor does not end with a similar reputation of Dean's Spyder Porsche as the car is reputed to be a Cursed Object. On the subject of "Injectors"; I've never had anything but smooth shaves with my vintage razors. I wonder why you had such a rough time?
Hey Ken didn't know if you saw but there's something that looks like a brush tube almost falling off your shelf above the door just thought i should give you a heads up
Hey Ken, it looks well made. Can you do a video with the mild and aggressive attachments? I'm thinking about getting the razor but not sure about the attachment settings. Thanks!
Trying to get into wet shaving myself, and although I wasn't intending to spend 70 bucks on my first safety/injection razor, I honestly might having seen the quality. I'd rather spend alot on something really nice than cheap out and get something sub-par
Hi Kensurfs! I have a request. As I continue my research and keeping in mind that cost is a big issue for me, I am looking at Razorock “The Hawk” which you have reviewed and Razorock “Baby Smooth” which I do not think you have reviewed. Other than the obvious one is SE and one is DE, could you talk about the differences of the two razors?
Is this a good razor type for someone with very sensitive skin and mild rosacea? I'm still looking for a good shaving option that doesn't leave my cheeks red and my neck looking like hamburger. I can only get away with shaving 2x per week due to my skin condition.
Hey Ken, I like to maintain a beard, and I just bought the Bevel. How does the Supply compare to the Bevel? I want to have only one. I don’t want to buy and return one of them. Cheers
Kensurfs , thank you sir! I have been watching quite a few of your videos, to me you have a voice over actor kind of voice, have I heard you before? Hehehe. Thanks for the reply!
Ken, when you use an Injector, do you hold the head basically flat against the face, or do you ride the bar? The advice I was given for my vintage Schicks is to hold it flat on the face. It works very well, rarely cutting me, and I get cuts easily.

Amazing and very detailed review, just bought mine and can’t wait to use it.
Hey Ken, I’m new to wet shaving and wanted to say thanks for helping me find a new hobby! Regards from Riverside!

Thanks for the tip on the Prep. I used some last night for the first time... what a difference it made, really happy with it. Thanks again.
Great shave again, Ken. That razor is on my radar. I'm hoping to add it to my collection soon.
Just bought this razor based on your review, hope I dig it!

The Supply razor replaced my OneBlade. Now all I have is the Supply and the Hone15.

It's a very well constructed razor and came in great packaging; I really liked the heft and stainless steel construction (I opted for the matte finish). I'll preface that I'm new to DE shaving (got a Merkur last year) and been using the Defender 3-blade as a daily shower shaver.

You can unscrew it to thoroughly clean and dry and then place the blade back on.

How does this compare to a classic safety razor butterfly style?
Similar but only one blade
Can you get replacement blades for this from different companies that are sharper? Or are the supply blades already really sharp?
Andrew Corliss you can get similar
Ive been wondering about this razor . good video. May treat myself to try one.
I saw your “old spice original shaving cream” video and i wanted to ask if it can be used on sensitive skin?
Also, can you talk about your tattoos? They look super cool!
Aditya Gupta I think the cream would work. Just finished a tattoo video too👍👍💈
That razor looks so smooth! Did you leave the dummy blade out when loading the blade?

Kensurfs I thought it was best to leave it in when putting in a new blade. But looks like your shave went really well despite that. 👍💈🤟
Distorted Cheese Shaving to be honest that red blade looked really cool. I should have used the Injector to cycle it out👍💈
It is meant to be kept in for the first injection of a blade.
Jill Snoddon yeah I just didn't see if Ken left it in or not. Couldn't tell.

One more thing... what is the difference between the Razorock Hawk and the Razorock Echo?
Injector Single Edge, huh? I never even considered an injector razor until now. And that brush is really nice too. Thanks Ken, another great video.
Is this a good razor type for someone with very sensitive skin and mild rosacea? I'm still looking for a good shaving option that doesn't leave my cheeks red and my neck looking like hamburger. I can only get away with shaving 2x per week due to my skin condition.
Just purchased this out of frustration with my one blade core razor. I never got a good shave from my core
👍👍
Can you please do a comparison video between this Supply razor and Merkur Futur or give your opinion??
Raj V I actually got rid of my futur, it was to big to get under my nose well
Cool looking razor, great shave!
Hey Ken, I like to maintain a beard, and I just bought the Bevel. How does the Supply compare to the Bevel? I want to have only one. I don’t want to buy and return one of them.
Cheers
Omar Alamoudi both are good, but I personally prefer the de blades over the injector
your thoughts (or a video maybe) with differences, pros and cons, between single edge (supply) vs safety razor?
rodrigogar I can probably do that👍💈💈
Kensurfs , thank you sir! I have been watching quite a few of your videos, to me you have a voice over actor kind of voice, have I heard you before? Hehehe.
Thanks for the reply!
Hello Ken, do you shave every day?
Thanks for the eagles reference lol love it!!
Brandon Crapo 👍👍💈
Ken, how do you compare the supply to the Muhle R41?
The R41 is much more aggressive
awesome review.....got to get one!!!
Edgar Del Aguila 👍👍💈
KEN: How do the Schick blades compare to the Personna's for smoothness, sharpness and price?
Willy Wonty smoothness and sharpness pretty close. Price varies but I usually buy eBay 👍👍💈
Beautiful razor. Nice comparison to the car and touching tribute to James Dean. Thanks for the vid
Sē'bŭm Gold Thank you 👍💈
Ken, when you use an Injector, do you hold the head basically flat against the face, or do you ride the bar? The advice I was given for my vintage Schicks is to hold it flat on the face. It works very well, rarely cutting me, and I get cuts easily.
Todd Moore I let it float at an angle that I First feel the blade cutting👍💈
That's a sweet looking razor, Ken!
Racer X 👍👍
Sometimes it seems like you order all that stuff just to make Mr. Monty happy because the mailman has to come to your house so often. 😂
hanski Monty goes nuts over the mailman. Today Monty had fun chasing a squirrel up a tree in the backyard..lol 👍💈
A dog's gotta do what a dog's gotta do! 😎
hanski 👍👍
Question can I just shave like regular gillette razor using this single edge ?

I love my SUPPLY single edge razor.
The Suffolk Shaver I’m late to the party Steve. This razor worked great. How long have you had yours? 👍💈
Was the packaging done by Apple?=) Great razor though^^
Northern Frisian I swear it looked like an iPhone package👍💈
You may have got a little shaving cream in your ear bro haha 😂
Is that pirere Cardin cologne on the shelve? Havent seen that cologne in years
I think you’re right. If not, it sure looks like it.
