I used to see these guys live in Richmond all the time. Bruce Ford-Fyfe was an incredible pianist.

I was transferred to Richmond from the NYC office in 1979 and I came across this LP, Loved it and I still have the LP. Only in Richmond for 9 months and never got to see them. My loss.

I've been searching RUclips for a while looking for this and finally found it. This brings back memories of XL102 back in the seventies (if I remember right Stella by Flashlight was named for a DJ there).

I also saw this group in Richmond . Heard them perform in the Carytown area more than once. Looked especially for Stella by Flashlight for over 25 years

Does anyone know anything about the members of this band? I saw them in Norfolk, VA back in the day. Their guitarist left his mark on me. I never heard a guy get more sounds of a guitar! It totally changed the way I approached the instrument. I would be grateful for the chance to thank the guy some day.

Apparently Stanley Clarke was involved with this band in some capacity.
