When they recalled the Warrior MR2 and the mini I think they combined the two in size and weight. I had the MR2 and sent it back as to instructions from olight and they sent me the Warrior mini 2 as the replacement. I wish I'd kept my MR2 because I'd had it for 3 years with none of the problems listed in the reason for the recall. I like the size and function of the mini 2 and probably will get great service out of it.
Hadn’t seen your channel before this video. Great review! Returned my warrior mini because it burned through my pants and melted the lens. Just got the warrior mini 2 today as a warranty replacement. Haven’t had the chance to use it yet, but I’m hoping it’s good!
Locking out an EDC light is literally the dumbest solution for burning problems. No other flashlight from Olight or their competitors have this problem. The WM2 fixes the issue tho.
Don’t know what to tell ya homie. I’m not going to defend this light anymore. I like their lights, but I personally dislike Olight as a company so it’s a waste of time. The video shows my opinions. I’ll wait for your video on this light with your opinions in it just so I can comment and tell you that you’re wrong. I’ll be waiting.
@@ChrispyThings well I ain't a RUclipsr, so you'll be waiting a while. Lol. I'm not criticizing your reveiw, I'm criticizing Olight for not actually recalling the WM1. No need to get defensive.
@@DJ_CRIZP They did recall the light. There was the choice of returning the light for money or they were giving extra incentives if you want to keep it. There was the rubber cap and o bulb for each warrior mini light that was bought.
Ignorance is bliss especially when these people criticize something as having a fault when the fault 99.9% of the time lies with operator error. lol Cracks me up and you CAN'T convince any of them otherwise. People......LOCK OUT MODE is there for a REASON! Flashlights have gotten SO powerful, that it's just smart carry practice to lock them out. You wouldn't walk around with a cocked revolver, safety off in your waistband pointed at your junk now would ya? Uh...No! So why don't y'all just shadup about your inability or unwillingness to properly carry the dang things and admit you screwed up! Sheesh! Ok Chris, I feel better getting that off my chest with all the comments to come as well as those already posted about the WM pocket burning and turning them selves on. In Lockout it's IMPOSSIBLE to turn them on. Toss em in a drawer and they aren't locked out.......It's your fault the light turned on. Slide it in your pocket and the light burns yer junk.......again, your fault for not locking it out. You tell me your light comes on when IN Lockout Mode and I'll call you a liar to your face because the interface won't allow that to happen. Plain and simple. NOW I'm finished with my rant. Been listening to the same BS for too long. Sorry to unload here but not sorry at the same time my Friend...Only because of all the bitching that's going on. Did you notice how much more defined the beam is with less wash around it? Right now, it's my go-to in the house at night and my original two WM's are in my truck and one's in the shop. Cheers my Friend! Zip~
I agree with you....Most of these people just have a hard on about Olight....From Lockouts, to magnetic charging, to anything that they do... I own a bunch of different brands, and some that have their own magnetic charging.. I just happen to Like Olight better. I Like the Mini II alot, even compared to my new Warrior III....It's about a perfect size and talking about an ounce here, and MM or two there, is just laughable. Oh well.....LOL
That is a nice Olight for people that like the proprietary charging system and metal tail switch. The proximity sensor is a unique safety addition that would be nice to see on other premium flashlights.
@Fishy Vagina That's a good point. I don't have any with proximity sensor and to be honest my phone cant even get that right. When I talk to people sometimes the screen stays active and my cheek presses things like speaker phone and number pad. I much prefer a anodized tail cap mechanical lock out to save me from burning a hole in my pants.
I'm not a huge fan of olight. I think it's because it's all I see and to many people act like it's the end all be all in flashlights... but I do like the look of a lot of them. I do wish they made a flashlight that looked exactly like the i3t & i5t that took an 18650. Maybe the i8t eos 😆 and your test shots say 1750lm for the mini. Just letting you know. Awesome stuff as usual.
Agreed, my friend has many flashlight brands and Olight is his favorite. I've played with his warrior pro and mini. They feel solid and well made but I'm not a fan of the proprietary charging system or UI. Some people who work in a shop around dust and dirt say that the metal button can get loaded with stuff stuck in it. I'd rather something with USB-C and a sealed rubber tail switch that can be mechanically locked out in my pocket by a simple half turn. Hate messing with the electronic lock out.
@keepthatenergythesame Agreed, there are some great offerings that have similar quality and for much cheaper. Just the warranty is better with Olight and that premium price. I just got a Wurkos fc11 in 4000k tint that uses the Samsung LH351D which is a premium LED and great light quality. The UI is simple but polished, offers infinite ramping or hold for 5 seconds from off to get stepped modes plus instant access to moon, turbo and strobe. Well designed battery indicator that shows the status in green, red or flashing and shuts off after a few seconds each time you turn the light on which is a nice touch. USB-C and magnetic tail to. All for $25.99. Pretty hard to beat. It's not perfect with no deep carry clip and no strike bezel but for the price I might get a second one in another tint.
Ah of course. I swear I checked that multiple times. Lol. Well I can’t change it now because the original files are gone so I put an update in my description box saying I’m aware I messed up the lumens in my beam shots. Lesson to learn here, don’t edit while on 3 hours sleep.
@@ChrispyThings I do it all the time my Friend. I've gone through the entire editing sequence, reviewed it a couple times then upload and bam.......I watch the playback and slap my forehead. But I keep all of my raw footage as well as a copy of the finished videos (12TB of it so far). Am I weird? lol Maybe. Cheers! Zip~
I don't own any olights except for the free ones I get from their sales for shipping price (couple i3e , couple I1r 2's .and a x9 cell) but I have 6 Keychain lights for the low low price of $23 total so I can say I like olight for the simple fact that they promote promote promote, which is probably the issue that you're explaining, if given the choice I'd go for reylight or rovyvon lights but you don't see them pumping out ads so obviously not going to be as popular as olight.

Love my pocket fire starting og warrior mini. I only had it turn on turbo in my pocket once

Lock outs exist for a reason.
Funny I’ve carried the Warrior Mini for months without it turning on accidentally in my pockets once.
@@ChrispyThings funny I've carried tons of different lights, and only the WM has ever come on by itself. 🤔🧐

Warrior Mini 2 or Baton Pro?
WM2
Mannn, I want it but I already have so many lol, y’all know any good places to sell clean olights (almost new conduction ) and get decent money back
Ebay?
Olight official Facebook group.
I really really really don't like what they did with the warrior mini 2. The smaller warrior mini is so much better with it's size and weight.
Opinions are great aren't they?
I always love wm2, and w3s.
Light is giving me a Mini 2 to replace my recalled Mini. Hope its an upgrade.
It’s an upgrade 👍🏻
On your shots in the park, you had the mini at 1750 lumens in turbo.
Should have been 1500 in turbo.
Kind of a big miss.
Oops!
Forgive me please oh wise one for a typo!
Oh my god I’m so embarrassed for that “big miss!”
Lol. Give me a break 🙄
Cut him some slack tony
