I believe that was my mess up, using the same resume for ALL the jobs I have applied for. Tailoring it for the specific job is the way to go for sure, increased the amount of interviews for me.
I think the response was deeply misunderstood and that’s why people got so mad. Is having to apply to 463 jobs ideal? No. But what you said wasn’t wrong. One application a week is crazy. if you are laid off (JOBLESS) and you really really need to get back to work, only putting in ONE application a week is not really much effort. I also think the one application a week would be completely different if he already had a job that he was working at and just wanted to switch, but he has been unemployed for over a year. He needs to get it together.
10 Jobs is aggressive, I got more hits when I submitted to jobs like that back in 2022. It would help if you had multiple resumes to compete for these tech roles since it is way more competitive now. I am probably going to use Rezi to help build some resumes to cater my skill set to certain roles in IT Security.

I customize my resume almost everyday and apply to multiple jobs everyday. the market is BRUTAL.. and a lot of the same job posting are constantly reposted. Idk what’s even legit anymore. but I’m still pulling through hoping for that 1 win

I most definitely recommend to paste your resume on chat gpt or whatever ai service you use and ask it too give you a hire percentage rate of the likely hood of you obtaining that job in whatever field if it’s over 85% you good to apply if not you need some work to do

More like 10 jobs a day with tailored resumes and cover letters at a minimum. 😂
I work at a staffing agency. We request simple MS Word resumes. Its easier to edit for our clients and itparses easier in the ATS system.
